Calibra: A Delayed Taste

Calibra: A Delayed Taste
CALIBRA | CHAPTER 06

Audi rubbed his hair with a towel. He had just finished bathing and changed his clothes when his doorbell rang. Audi went downstairs to see who was coming.

It can't be your mom and dad. A few moments ago Audi called them and knew they were both still on the way not far from the airport.

For a moment Audi was looking for Jeno. The boy must have gone straight to sleep after arriving home. Audi hasn't seen his nose since.

"Sepent ..."

Audi opened the door and was stunned to find Ibra standing there.

"From Mami," said the man as he offered a bushel of whatever it contained.

"Life doesn't exist anymore, does it? I think Mami's afraid you're starving" she added, smiling awkwardly.

Audi glanced at the bushel in Ibra's hands. A few seconds filled with silence because Audi did not necessarily receive the bushel.

"We can DO, really."

I heard the breath of Ibra. It seems Audi's refusal upset him a little. "Compared to DO, mending an existing meal, right?"

"After all, when would you refuse Mami's gift?"

Actually Audi does not intend to refuse, just voice the contents of his mind. Although Aunt Safa does not queue rice and side dishes even though she and Jeno can order online.

Audi took over the bushel from Ibra's hands. "Thank you."

"Together." Ibra.

The atmosphere became awkward because neither Ibra nor Audi opened their voices. Audi was confused, he wanted to close the door but the impression must have been very disrespectful, while Ibra himself was still standing there.

"Mas Ibra needs something?" guess Audi saw Ibra casually observing the front road of the house.

There's no way that guy would hang out on Audi's doorstep, right?

Ibra looked, she shook her head. "No. Why the hell?"

"Mas Ibra when to Jakarta again? Not as far as Audi TNI know it's busy, huh? Especially with the paspampres." Audi prefers to shift the topic.

"Oh." Ibra is relaxed. "Later tonight we leave. I made a deal with Jeno, really."

Audi's forehead is crinkled. Ls i?

"You were sleeping when we spoke earlier" Ibra said in response to Audi's curiosity.

Oh, they're talking in the car.

"Well, why are you still here?" said telak.

Audi could see Ibra's eyes twitching in confusion. The man scratched his almost trimmed hair. Maybe all TNI members are. Because as long as Audi sees Ibra's hair never even longer than an inch, it must always be flaky. The man should be grateful down the bright skin of the mother who makes it look fresh even in a dull state though.

"Ah, that? No papa, anyway."

"Yes, Mas ... go home?" Whether it's a question form or Ibra's bidding style is strange.

Audi was confused to answer or leave it. Long silent at last Ibra retreated and turned home while occasionally turning to throw a small smile.

Audi closed the door in no way to repay Ibra's hospitality. Three years is not a short time. It felt strange to see Ibra suddenly trying to get close to him again.

***

In the afternoon as promised, Ajeng came to the Audi house, along with his father and mother who also just arrived from Jakarta. Whether they go where they used to take a longer trip than usual. For sure Audi saw the two beaming like a newly blooming flower.

Check in the hotel first.

Audi did not want to take a headache, he immediately put his hands in front of the father. "Where to buy."

Davandra Halim immediately put on a flat face. "Rice first, cake. It's a hand that's been made to beg."

Audi frowning. Without refuting he pulled the hand of the father and kissed him reverence. It invited the clique of Ajeng who stood next to Audi.

"Ajengs. How are you doing? I haven't played here in a long time." Dava greeted his daughter's best friend kindly.

"Thank God be good, Om. Hehe, his Audi walks on, I'm also pretty busy."

"Oh, that. Audi seems to have forgotten home."

Audi just melengos lazily responding to the satire of his papa. Lalisa who just returned brought something from the car then took them all to the dining room.

"Eh, here, here ... Coincidentally Ajeng is also here. Aunty bought bakmi in front of the complex. Delicious, you know. Yuk, eat together to make it exciting."

The three follow Lalisa to a kitchen connected to the dining room.

"Where's jeno? Belom's back in Jakarta, isn't she?"

"Boro-boro. Mole him again. Kebo really from the morning do not wake up," said Audi lazy.

Hearing that Lalisa threw out a breath while clucking. She complained to her husband. "Yes, Pa. Then again, yesterday in Bogor he even camping with Ibra. He thought Ibra didn't have a job so invited. Mama's feeling sorry for that kid."

Dava chuckles. "Let's go, Ma. Maybe Jeno needs refreshing in the wild. Pity him like he was almost bald before he became a doctor."

Finding her husband's defense Lalisa also snorted.

"Well, my intention is not to, anyway? Bekepin mule crackle." Audi who has been waiting since then automatically grunted annoyed.

It makes Ajeng nudge the Audi arm slowly. Audi is obviously fierce. "What, anyway?"

"No manners, yes, you, you" whispered Ajeng.

Halah, Ajeng and his manners.

Dava smiled, then helped the wife open the parcel. "Come, come here. Mama don't eat spicy. Just got a stomach ache yesterday, right?"

"Lho, Mama and Papa have gone home?" Jeno's still sleepy voice rang out between them.

"From that moment," said Audi quietly, but very audible in Jeno's ears.

"It's customary, ma'am. It's just nanya."

"Before you go down to wash your face, cake. Just make a look at it."

"What the hell? Ma'am Sensi very. I like to wash my face or not. My face is also my face, not my face." Jeno pulled out a chair and threw herself in there.

Dava and Lalisa shook their heads. "Here, don't argue. Her noodles are growing. Ada Ajeng's. Aren't you ashamed of fighting in front of guests?" the head of the family tried to end the debate.

Wouldn't want Audi to shut up. Ajeng himself just grimaced not knowing what to say.

"Eh, there's Ma'am Ajeng. How did it look?"

The Audi turned its eyes. "Makanya. That's a really racket."

"Yee .. I mean, I just played here again that way," Jeno sewot.

"Jeno, Audi ..."

Both of them were silent when the father's countenance had changed. Finally they ate quietly, before Jeno's spark again made Audi angry.

"That's the same kind of food that Mas Ibra brought. Sampain not sisain a piece of rice for his sister."

All eyes looked up at Jeno's words.

"Ibra is sending food, Mommy?" Dava asked.

I don't know why Audi is so excited. "Eng ... No, kok. It's from Aunt Safa. Ibra anter."

Jeno laughed cynically. "Anter aja's. What courier do you think? Haha, funny."

Fucking jeno! What do you want, this is a kid?
