*thunder! it's rumbling!
Haru looked at the building once more but became very gloomy due to the overcast sky.
“Haru...” Shiina was really worried right now.
“I'm going in,” Haru said as she felt the sky had started to drizzle. He did not want to stay outside for too long and enter the building he had just bought as soon as possible.
Shiina saw him walking towards the haunted building that could only sigh. He also followed her as she entered the building inside.
Suzuki saw both of them from inside his car. His face was expressionless and the stone talisman in his pocket began to crack. Suddenly his expression turned into a grin while his mouth opened very wide showing a gap in both of his cheeks.
Haru closed his nose because the smell of this place was so unpleasant. He felt that there must be a lot of dead animal carcasses inside this building because he smelled a foul smell inside. He looked at Shiina and said, “Walk next to me, it would be bad for us to part with each other.”
Shiina nodded at him and pulled out her sword.
Haru decides to use his light magic because this place is too dark for him to see anything. He summoned a small ball of light in his palm and started walking inside the building. He could see a lot of trash around the ground and vines growing around the walls.
There were many cracks around the building and the ground covering the entire floor showed no one had entered this building since then.
*step steps
Suddenly, footsteps from upstairs were walking quite hard.
“What is it?!” Shiina asked with a trembling voice.
Haru raised his eyebrows and said, “Let's check.” He said and walked up the stairs to the top floor. He knows that ghosts like to play hide and seek to scare them and eat them slowly.
Shiina was frightened and inevitably slipped her clothes.
Haru looked at him and asked, “Are you scared?”
“No!” Shiina shook her head.
“….”
Haru wondered if it was the right choice to take him. He thought that he would be reliable because it seemed like it was wrong, “Hold my hand.”
Shiina nodded confidently, “Ya, this way I can protect you better.”
“….”
Haru fell silent and said nothing more. He thought for a while and said, “This building is the previous apartment, right?”
“Yes, that's what the man said before,” Shiina said and frowned, “I think the man looks a bit suspicious.”
Haru did not blame him for doubting Suzuki because he also thought that many of his stories felt unnatural, especially the part where the relatives asked his family to manage this building for two generations. He found it strange that relatives had to choose that person over other brokers.
Haru felt that their family might be trying to make something or a true spiritual master was trying to create a powerful spirit or something, but it didn't matter because he would kill them sooner or later.
Shiina and Haru entered the second floor and they saw nothing.
*drop drops
The drizzle turned into rain and thunder started to rumble, making the building even more menacing.
*rumbling rumble
*BAAM!
Suddenly the door slammed and followed by the sound of water coming out of the faucet.
Shiina became very frightened and held her hand tightly. He suddenly felt something cold grabbing onto his leg, “Haru!!!!”
*disappear
The hands began to disappear and became dust leaving into the sky.
Haru hugged him and said, “Quiet, it's just a small fries.”
“Only small fries?” Shiina asked.
“Ya, because the original is coming soon,” said Haru.
“….”
Shiina suddenly felt something strange until she saw many hands coming out of the ground. He could see that there were at least hundreds of hands moving towards them.
Haru made a grabbing move using her power from ‘Horo Horo no Mi’ trying to pull everything into one.
Hundreds of hands flew out from the ground and became a huge white ball with many hands trying to escape from the ball.
Shiina opened her mouth wide when she saw the change of the ball.
Suddenly this hand turned into the head of the person shouting loudly, making an extremely sinister voice.
“Dead! Die up! Die up! Die up! Die!”
They continued to say those words while staring at the two with tears of blood.
Shiina hugged him tightly, “Do something!”
“I want,” Haru said and moved the creepy screaming soul ball closer to himself.
“K – Why are you bringing it closer?!” Shiina really wanted to get out now.
“I will purify them,” Haru said, and cover his fist with the light magic he combined with his new strength, smashing it into that creepy soul ball.
*ssttts
“AAAHHHH!!!!!”
The soul inside the ball began to scream in pain as it was exposed to its light magic.
Haru knew that all the souls inside the orb had eaten the souls of the humans who had entered this place. He was not sure how many people this building had preyed upon and he was sure there might be rituals performed inside this place.
The soul began to disappear without leaving a trace.
Shiina looked at the process of how she purified evil spirits in astonishment.
“Come away,” Haru said with a smile.
Shiina was unsure but her smile made her become extremely calm all of a sudden. He nodded at her and followed her to inspect the entire floor.
Suddenly under the ground of the haunted building, something strange happened.
Suzuki entered the underground from a different entrance from the two of them. He walked slowly and with a grin on his face until he heard a very loud scream. His expression started to change and he ran very fast towards the underground. He saw a handsome man who was in his prime but half of his face was full of wrinkles and slowly made a very disturbing sight. He was stunned when he saw her and did not know what to do now.
“K – Kill them! Kill them!”
This voice shocked Suzuki to the point and knocked him unconscious directly on the ground. Suddenly his fingers began to make a very sinister movement. He stood with an angle that would normally be impossible unless the person was a professional gymnast. He walked while bowing his head low without showing his face.
The handsome man with a half-melted face held back his anger as he was about to take revenge.
