Old Maid is a Victorian card game for two or more players that may have originated from an ancient gambling game where the loser pays for his drink. Although now many children play, but was once known as gambling games.

The rules of this game are very simple. The dealer shuffles and deals all the cards to the players, one card at a time. Some players may have more cards than others; this is acceptable. Players look at their cards and discard any pair they have (e.g., two kings, two sevens, etc.) face up. Players do not throw three of a kind. In the general variant, the suit color of the discarded pair should match: spade (♠) should match the stick (♣) and diamond (♦) should match the heart (♥).

Starting with the dealer, each player takes turns offering his hand face down to the person on his left. The person chooses the card without looking and adds it to his hand. This player then sees if the selected card makes a pair with one of its original cards. If so, the couple has thrown their face away as well. The player who has just picked up a card then offers his hand to the person to his left, and so on.

The object of the game is to continue taking cards, discarding pairs until no more pairs can be made. Players with cards that do not have a match “ are stuck with virgin mua” and lose.

Kirari set up a deck of 52 regular cards and one joker card, “The one with the joker card is the one who loses in this gambling.”

“I see,” Haru nodded as he had played this game in the past.

“Haru, why are you suddenly gambling?” Nasa who came to his cafe was a little surprised because he wanted to show his application but suddenly he saw him ready to bet with someone.

Before NASA received his answer, Kirari suddenly cut him off.

“Do you know why I should ask you to gamble?” ask Kirari.

“That has something to do with your school?” Haru is not sure about that but he thinks that it might be related to his school since he started it after talking about his school.

Kirari looked at Iwasawa and asked, “Can you be our dealer?”

“I?” ask Iwasawa.

“Ya,” Kirari nodded.

“Alright,” Iwasawa curious about what this is.

“Hyakko Private Academy, do you know anything about that school?” ask Kirari.

“I just heard that it is one of the oldest schools and there are many children of influential businessmen and politicians,” Haru said.

“True. At that school, very few valued academic achievement or athletic prowess,” Kirari received the card and asked, “You know why?”

“Because such a thing will not be used in the future because most of them will continue their parents' careers,” Haru replied while looking at Iwasawa who distributed the card to him and Kirari.

“Yes, the thing we need is things like strategy and people's reading ability. The ability to recognize critical moments in a game. In other words gambling,” Kirari smiled and said, “In our school, the thing we value is the ability of individuals in gambling.”

“This must be a chaotic school,” Kosaka said.

Kirari nodded, “Ya, it's a very messy school the same as our society which is also very chaotic, right?”

Kosaka raised his hand and smiled, “That's right.” He did not deny it because he had already tasted it now. She is not sure what she will do now if she does not meet him, ‘That's why I have to succeed.’ He looked at her staring at the girl while thinking when this man would turn towards her.

“Hmm?” Haru turned his head towards Kosaka, “What's up, Kosaka?”

“Nothing,” Kosaka shook his head and thought this guy was very sharp. He turned around to hide his red hue.

“Do we start now?” Haru turned towards Kirari.

Without waiting the two began to throw each pair in their hands onto the table.

Everyone was a little surprised because their speed was so fast that both Haru and Kirari did not have a partner in their hands.

“You go first?” ask Haru.

“Why not?” Kirari said and took one card before making the couple throw it at the table.

Haru decided not to use his observational haki and only used his luck to fight with this girl. He could see that Kirari was very excited for a reason. He took one of his cards and made a pair before throwing it on the table. He has no comedian in his hand and knows that Kirari is the one holding it. He counts the cards in his hand and knows one of them is a joker.

Kirari was in no hurry as there were still many cards in their hands.

Their game was very fast and before long there was one card in Haru and two cards in Kirari.

Everyone watching this match was unsure but they felt that it was exciting and intense at the same time. They knew that Haru only needed one proper card before he won this gamble.

Haru was ready to take one of the cards from his hand.

Kirari did not show any emotion when she saw him touch the right card. He knew that he had lost this game thinking he was not showing frustration just an amused expression.

“Say, if you win, how long do I have to be your bodyguard?” ask Haru.

“Hmm, I've said that until my problem is finished,” Kirari said, and added, “It won't be long.”

“One year?” ask Haru.

“Month,” says Kirari.

“Good,” said Haru, then took out the joker in his hand.

“….”

Haru showed two cards in his hand and said, “I have two cards now if you can take the right card, I will be your bodyguard.” He shuffled the two cards in his hand at an extremely fast speed which made people gawk.

“…”

Kirari thought that Haru became more attractive in her eyes.

“Now everything depends on your luck,” Haru said.

“Luck, yes?” Kirari said and took one of the cards in his hand, “That's right.” He dumped his cards on the table because he had made a couple, “Then, please take care of me.”

“….”

Haru looked at the joker card in his hand and thought that his luck was good.
