Closing her mouth and nose, Kalia gazed towards the wall, turning her gaze away from the trail of slaughter left behind by Ashley.
However, the strong smell of rancid still kept him reminded of the bloody incident that he had witnessed directly before his eyes. It was still vividly reflected in his mind and kept repeating itself every time he closed his eyes.
Therefore Kalia kept her eyes wide open looking at the stone array in front of her, trying to divert the terrifying shadow that lay behind her eyelids.
His body was still trembling, his breathing was still being decapitated, his tears were still flowing as something inside him was still shrouded in overwhelming fear. Nevertheless, he had to force himself to calm down no matter how.
Not only him, but the life of the girl who was with him was also at stake. Ashley has entered into danger for her sake, then after trying to escape, now they are stuck there and Ashley also has to overcome everything alone.
It never occurred to him at all if it was all the things Ashley had actually planned.
Except for the arrival of an uninvited guest at the end of the show, of course.
Kalia never knew when Ashelia learned all those attacks and defenses, her former friend was really like turning into someone else. One thing he knows for sure is, right now he is just a 'load'.
Therefore, the thing that Kalia is able to do is to be quiet and calm, so as to at least not make things worse.
It sucks to realize how helpless he was at the time, only being able to rely on the girl he had always rejected his friendship these past few days. Then the inevitable reality is something that he must still accept.
After all, one must also be aware of their limitations, before attempting to transcend them.
Then, in between the tension, there was a voice of a man who was quite familiar in the ears of Kalia. The voice of his cousin brother that he liked more than his two siblings.
The feeling is immediately calm just from hearing the voice of the person, but the chance of the presence of the person is very small, or even close to zero.
Looking towards the source of the voice that was slowly moving away, Kalia tried to listen carefully, comparing the voice of that person to her brother's. He then tried to stand up but his legs still felt powerless. In silence, questions began to appear in his head.
If that's true, then Ashelia couldn't possibly attack him, right? Doesn't he still like it? Even the rumors that circulated said their relationship was very good. There's no way he came to this place all of a sudden, right?
Gathering all her strength and determination, Kalia tried to get up once again. He wanted to try listening to her once more, the voice of the man who was moving away.
Stepping slowly while holding onto the wall, the girl walked towards the end of the wall.
Dangerous. He knew very well that what he was doing was dangerous, but the voice of the man was very similar to Daryl. The more he thought, the more he wanted to make sure of that.
Her cousin brother coming to save her, was the last thing that would cross her mind. However, it was also the thing he had expected the most during this time.
A miracle or a coincidence, he doesn't care. He just wants to convince himself again if Daryl doesn't hate him.
From behind the wall, he saw Ashley who was still pressing back the person in front of him. It doesn't look who he is because they've passed the next corner.
With a pounding heart Kalia accelerated her pace. Either which makes his heart beat the most, the identity of the man or the tension with the stakes of life.
The longer it takes, the faster it moves. The doubt in him gradually disappeared carried away every millited he went through.
Even if this is just imaginary wishful thinking, can you turn it into reality?
The girl started running. With a face full of hope, he ran over to Ashley and the man she was fighting. Kalia was absolutely convinced that the man was her brother.
Is correct.
The sound of Ashley's left-footed heel hitting on a large metal box that had no idea what it contained, seemed to be a marker bell if Kalia's answer was correct.
So did Daryl, who also felt he had made the right decision.
The man was made to goosebumps hearing how loud the impact sound was. At first he was about to fend it off, but considering that the leg was made of wood, and not bone and flesh, he chose to dodge. He knew Ashley wasn't messing around from the start but wasn't the woman's attack too scary?
Right after seeing Daryl, Kalia's smile flashed. But not until one second the smile was erased again.
He recalled the events where every attack from Ashley always ended in blood. First victim, second, third, fourth, none of them are okay.
The girl came back to the two people in front of her. Stopping Ashley's movements would be useless, considering the woman always had an attack of anticipation. That left him with no other choice but to block Ashley's attack.
The images of Daryl's death sprung up one by one in Kalia's mind as the legs moved quickly. Although the man came to save him, he felt that the plan had to be foiled by himself.
Seeing the death of her brother was more unacceptable than feeling the death itself.
On the other hand, Daryl, who was still stunned by Ashley's attack just now, was again surprised by Kalia's sudden appearance from behind the woman's back.
Just a split second he took his eyes off Ashley and it had snatched away his entire life opportunity.
He clearly saw Kalia running towards him with a face he had never seen before. So did the long sharp knife that slowly tore the tip of Ashley's pants to the middle of the calf.
Not really slow, but the incident of less than 2 seconds was indeed suddenly slowed in Daryl's eyes.
The wood that had previously hidden the blade slipped away and left behind only a dangerous sharp metal that led to its neck. It is astonishing to know that Ashley still has a hidden card behind her leg.
Uh. Justjust wonderful.
As if unable to read the situation, the man was amazed.
There would be no time for him to avoid the attack. Plus, his sister was running towards him with a clear purpose.
He held onto Kalia's head as the girl managed to hug her body. He quickly pulled her aside while slightly twisting her body, keeping Kalia away from the path of Ashley's attack. His right hand was raised hoping to slow down the big knife slightly.
While bowing his head protecting Kalia, he closed his eyes.
Not feeling fear, sadness, or disappointment at all, the man was satisfied with the life he had. Especially the new experiences and feelings he got after meeting Ashley.
I will never regret knowing you.
