Cinderella Crazy

Cinderella Crazy
Still afraid of bringing me down?

Still crouching in front of Kalia as Ashley started walking away from them, Daryl said,

"Want to wait for someone else to come?"

If it continues to linger there, it is possible for them to encounter other unwanted things. Ashley is already a few steps ahead, and Kalia does not want Daryl to be hampered because of him.

What he wants, what he can do, and what he has to do, is completely out of step. There is no other option but to choose the best decision.

At the hugging of Daryl's neck from behind with a slight hesitation. Slowly, the man stood up while propping up the legs of his cousin's sister. The dress that Kalia wore was wide enough to move her legs, so she also felt comfortable.

"Close your eyes." Ashley said suddenly.

Without asking, Kalia immediately complied. The smell of water began to smell on his nose. Bad memories of previous events returned, but he managed to shake the memory by imagining Daryl's face.

Ashley's understanding made Kalia feel like she had an older sister. Her cold cousin sister also turned out to still love her so much.

With a warm feeling enveloping her, the girl realized something.

Although the incident that happened to him was terrible and did not want him to experience it a second time, but it was also that made him feel the warmth. A feeling he has not felt for a long time.

He really wants to change. He wants to be stronger and mature. However,

I'll change from tomorrow.

With such a gentle yet cheerful innocent smile, Kalia wanted to enjoy the moment at least for the last time.

I don't know what would have happened to him if the two men hadn't come to help him. Although Daryl arrived a bit late, Kalia still felt happy to see his presence.

"You, come for me?" Ask the girl.

Without hesitation or a bit of pleasantries, Daryl immediately denied the assumption of his cousin's sister. It doesn't even take time to think about the answer.

"No. I came because I saw Miss Midgraff."

Ashley glanced at the man when she heard that Daryl no longer called her by the name 'Ashelia'. The same before. The woman remembered she had indeed forbidden Daryl from calling her that. But who would have thought, just from the way he called, one's impression could change.

The man next to her now looked more mature. While carrying Kalia like that, she really looked like a big brother.

"If Ashelia wasn't around, wouldn't you help me?"

"Of course."

A shitty brother.

Smiling and still closing her eyes, Kalia leaned against Daryl's back before saying,

"I won't thank you, then."

Despite every cold answer that came from the man's mouth, Kalia still looked satisfied.

Not the words he needed, but the facts of real action. The fact that Daryl is still the same as he was. A brother who is cold and does not like to be disturbed, yet still cares in other ways. Even if he did it secretly.

Not only Kalia, Ashley also knows how much Daryl cares for his cousin's sister. He just didn't understand why the man was acting indifferent.

Unlike Daryl, Ashley is quite an honest person. But instead of saying "I care about you", he'll say "You're my asset."

The only thing the two of them have in common is that they often make people misunderstand.

Out of the alley, they walked towards the main road. His initial intention was to explore other alternative avenues, as their appearance and smell remained suspicious. However, the distance they would travel was very inhumane.

They need a horse-drawn carriage.

"You know? This is not how to carry a girl." Kalia suddenly broke the silence again.

"Still afraid of bringing me down?" Next tease Daryl.

"Don't jump to conclusions. I just don't want my face to be hollow because you keep staring at me."

Kalia chuckles. It was true that if Daryl carried her in front, the girl would continue to stare at her brother out of pleasure.

"You're too big to be ashamed of a pretty girl like me."

"I'm not ashamed. And you're too big to be so fond of being carried on your back."

Still closing her eyes, Kalia laughed at the man's reply until she accidentally tightened her arms and strangled Daryl.

Unknowingly, Ashley laughed at them. Just a small, fleeting laugh that didn't even last more than 2 seconds. But the smile on his lips lasted for quite a while. Not a friendly smile full of hypocrisy, or an evil smile full of arrogance and deceit that he usually shows, but a sincere smile that appears because of positive feelings in him.

Daryl stopped seeing this rare thing. His breathing stopped without even realizing it. So did Kalia who returned to see Ashelia's sincere smile after a long time.

Realizing the gazes of the two people who reminded him of his men, Ashley's smile was immediately erased and made the brothers re-conscious.

A lot of new things they realized about each other that night. Things they probably wouldn't have known if it wasn't for the incident just now.

Naturally, a state of crisis, in addition to being able to break up a relationship

it can also bring one person and the other closer together.

After a few minutes of walking, they almost reached the main road area.

Ashley took off the outermost layer of her shirt which she then looked at like someone who had just come home from work. Just by wearing a lacy thin shirt, the woman broke through the cold of the night, feeling every bone-chilling gust of wind.

The white shirt he was wearing was only slightly exposed to splashes of blood, in contrast to the outer clothes he was wearing. The thick shirt was already wet even though it was not penetrated to the inside.

After being far enough away from the scene of the massacre, the shirt was thrown into the corner of the trash can the woman passed. It was indeed safer to burn it, but he did not want to wait long as he also had to make sure Kalia got home safely.

While Daryl was still worried about Ashley's appearance, his eyes stopped in bandages around the woman's neck. The very thing he wanted to ask from the beginning but hesitated.

After trying to dare to ask, Ashley asked something else that immediately made Daryl swallow his words.

"Why are you back?"

"Wouldn't that make things worse?"

Unlike when answering Kalia's question, the man used a softer tone and looked at his interlocutor. Seeing the real difference Kalia could only sigh in thought.

On the other hand, Ashley kept speaking in her usual tone and manner, and without looking at Daryl.

"He can fight." Hina Kalia was still clinging to the back of the man she had underestimated.

"Bullsh*t."

It was natural for Ashley not to believe that. Although Daryl said his attack had just been successful out of luck, the incredible reflexes he had remained undeniable.

The man explained that he did have good reflexes, but only that. His attack was not strong enough to compensate for his talent, which made him always choose to dodge.

Still not completely able to convince Ashley, their discussion had to come to a halt as 2 sword-wielding men appeared before them while shouting, saying,

"I found it!"
