Without a warning Jessi immediately kicked the door of the brother's room just like that firmly. The man sat on the floor, leaned against the bed, and held an alcohol bottle in his hand. Just glanced at his sister, then back in his daydream.
Fortunately, the smell of alcohol does not make Jessi nauseous. He slowly approached the older brother and sat on the bed beside Damien. True what her husband said, no one understood how much the elder sister was also hurt because of all this.
"Are you okay?" Jessi opened the conversation while looking at Damien's face. He looks a few unkempt with my slick eyes and a glare.
"As you can see." Damien again drank alcohol from the bottle directly. His chest was always rumbling, but he tried to divert everything.
"Don't you just torture yourself?"
"What do you understand?" The man turned his head towards his sister, he was a tiny baby and has now grown up without Damien being able to pour out his affection on him.
"Nothing" replied Jessi firmly.
Damien only smiled a little, then rested his head at the feet of the sister who was sitting on the bed. "Maybe you're right, I'm just torturing myself. But, I don't know what to do?" A soft tone sounded so bitterly out of the man's mouth.
Jessi stroked her brother's head like a child. "What is confusing you, brother?"
The man did not reply for quite a long time, only enjoying the elusan at the top of his head by the younger brother. Things he has not received since losing his family. In the past, his mother always did this when little Damien had trouble sleeping. The mother will tell about life while stroking her head until she fell asleep.
"You look a lot like mom" Damien said, closing his eyes, imagining that Jessi was really her mother making warm circles flow slowly in the corner of the man's eyes.
"really?" Jessi kept stroking the big brother's head, while the man just nodded in response to his sister's question. "Will you tell me about our family?"
Damien smiled while keeping his eyes closed. The words that came out of Jessi's mouth were like a spell, taking her away in the shadows of childhood. It feels beautiful, so happy, and the love of parents is overflowing.
"Dad is a figure of justice. Behind his busyness he always invites us to play together. Dad always told me to take care of you until we grow up." Damien paused his words. "But I failed."
They were silent for a while, now Jessi understood her brother also felt guilty for what happened. "What about mom?"
"Mother." The tightness seemed to settle in Damien's heart if he remembered his mother. A sincere woman whose love is irreplaceable by anything. He shut himself up for any woman and never fell in love before finding his sister. "Mother is a great woman, like you."
"Did he love us?" ask Jessi again.
The man just nodded. "Very dear to us."
"Does every parent want their child to be happy?"
Damien lifted his head from the thigh of his sister and stared with a glare. "Of course mom and dad want our happiness."
"Then do you think they'll be happy to see you like this?" Jessi cupped her hands together on the cheek of her brother and Damien felt her mother currently in front of him.
He has lived an empty life for many years. However, he again felt the love of his sister and also other women.
"Do I deserve to be with him?" Damien lowered his head, but Jessi immediately held the man to keep looking at him.
"Do you love her?" Seen a highlight of seriousness in Jessi's eyes, making Damien did not expect that his little sister had now grown up so quickly. They kept quiet for a while.
Damien exhaled a rough breath and immediately leaned back on the edge of the bed while chugging the alcohol beside him. "You know? At first I approached her after knowing she was the son of a bitch's daughter."
"Then?"
"Then I went after him, got Jane to vent my revenge on the man." Damien shook his head, remembering his stupid behavior that felt all this was just a game.
Jessi smiled slightly mocking her brother. "Now do you feel trapped in your own game?"
Just a nod that Damien showed, as he again downed the liquor.
"You fool!" said Jessi.
A wry smile curved across Damien's face. "Have you ever dreamed the same thing for thirty years?"
The woman just shook her head, she had Jane and Grandma Amber accompany her every night until the nightmare was never present in her sleep. "I don't know what you've been through all this time. But, I'm sure mom and dad will be very sad to see you like this. Love and vengeance, which makes your heart happy?"
"I don't know." Damien shook his head slowly because he didn't understand himself. He looked back at his sister, how happy his life was now when there were people who heard her complaints and sadness.
"You're no longer alone. Do you know what, brother? For a woman who was once let down, rebuilding trust will be harder than finding a new one. Ask your heart if you've just let Jane go." Jessi patted Damien's back slowly with a fluffy smile.
No one can impose their will on others. They could only advise slowly, after which let him think for himself what was best for him.
There was a long sigh from Jessi while staring at the glass scene in front of her. "Had you chosen your grudge, I could only hope that Jane would soon find her true soul mate. Maybe you'd rather just be a layover with painful memories." The woman nodded small while pursing her lips.
She did not see her brother's already widened-eye expression hear his sentence. "Who's the one who's close to Jane now besides you, sister?" Jessi looked at Damien with pride and without guilt.
He deliberately did so so that his brother realized that his actions only hurt himself. However, the man is quite violent if faced with violence anyway and this is the best way that can make him rethink his future.
Jessi stood up from her position while again sighing harshly. "Maybe I should get used to calling a new sister-in-law. Looks like you'd rather be immortal like Uncle Alex." The woman patted Damien on the back and stepped out of the room. He left the older brother still dumbfounded with each sentence.
