When Elena awakens, she finds Julius waiting for her. She was already in the room, Elena touched her forehead while sitting her body on the bed.

"Why am I here?" Ask around, apparently not only Julius but there's Jay as well.

"Looks like you're an expert at making people fuss." Jay mocked.

His body immediately goosebumps when recalling the stumped head of the Vampire.

"Are you the ones who slashed the head of that female Vampire?"

"The Vampires are Mirae's men, they're looking for you to find out where Sunghoon is." Clearly Julius rolled up the bandage.

"Mirae?" Elena's confused. "Is he Sunghoon's deceased lover?"

"Sunghoon's deceased love is Viola, a woman who looks a lot like you while Mirae, she is the woman Sunghoon almost married to help Mirae become a Queen."

"But in the end Sunghoon did not want to help Mirae so they made a new agreement. Mirae asks Sunghoon to help her get married to Jake. Mirae desperately wants to be Queen that's why she will do anything to ascend the throne."

"But again the plan was not appropriate, Sunghoon did not keep his promise. Jake dies fighting Sunghoon, either completely dead or disappearing. What is certain is that Mirae is currently looking for Sunghoon by targeting you. Because by injuring yourself, Sunghoon will most likely appear."

Elena flinched for a while, does that mean Elena means so much to Sunghoon?.

"You must not think of harming yourself for Sunghoon to appear before you." Julius immediately rebuked.

"I'm not that stupid." Elena said annoyed.

"The state of the Vampires is unstable, the Kingdom system is uprooted so they are revolting, wandering without rules. Mirae will never be a queen but she can be an Empusa. The Blood-sucking Demon Goddess."

"Does that mean all vampires are equal?" Elena asked.

"The "Royal System is too ancient for an increasingly modern age. The vampires won't separate, we'll merge with the humans. Living in the city, working in companies and following the existing system of government in humans. No more Vampire Kings and Queens. More precisely we would be equal to humans." Obviously Jay.

"Then what about the magic you have?"

"It's still a debate. As the Kingdom system was abruptly revoked, some disapproving Vampires would continue to rebel. Demonstrate by making the number of human deaths increase. Until most likely the existence of Vampires will come to the surface and cause a new problem, namely the war between Humans and Vampires."

Just imagining it has made Elena's hair goosebumps. Fellow humans alone can cause a great apocalypse let alone a war between two different creatures.

"And there's bad news for you too." Jay's words made Elena's body stiffen.

"It looks like there's a Vampire spreading the word about you who can read the magic book. Now that you're not safe, you'll be the target of MiX Vampires to serve as servants for those who want magic."

His heart was straight too tight. Jay looked at the anxious Elena.

"You're safe near us."

"You mean I have to stay close to you guys 24/7?" Ask with a voice.

Julius nodded and suddenly Elena exhaled in frustration. The girl couldn't bear to think about it.

"But what's the reason you're taking care of me? I mean, I've had nothing to do with Sunghoon and I'm not even a human being that matters to Vampires. So I think you shouldn't bother taking care of me from the MiXs."

Julius and Jay looked at each other for a while, as if hiding something.

"Since we know each other, I think you deserve to be looked after by us." Julius answered with origin.

"That doesn't make any sense." Elena commented.

"You should thank me." Julius.

"First you have to take off the pendant you're wearing. The pendant contained holy blood that could be used to raise someone from the dead."

Elena directly touched the locket. "really? that miracle?" He noticed the heart-shaped necklace. During the nineteen years Elena used the pendant given by her father, she just found out that the red color in the shape of the heart is not a crystal but a liquid of blood.

"Secondly, if you want to travel at night, you better call me or Julius. We can take you to your destination. Do not let last night happen again, if we do not exist. You're done eating Mirae's underlings." Jay snaps while explaining the rules to Elena.

Elena sat down slumped on the bed, she felt like she was a princess who got a lot of bans.

"Everything for your survival." Julius said slowly.

"Can't you guys turn me into a vampire too? I'm tired of being a human being constantly targeted by vampires." His eyes were empty, desperate.

"What kind of request is that. It's ridiculous." Jay chuckled making Elena purs her lips.

"Then what about my request on this one. Can you guys get me to Sunghoo?"

Jay raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"Of course you can't. Sunghoon is back where he came from, he won't even meet us with you."

Suddenly his stomach felt like it was filled with tiny sharp fragments of ice.

"Well~ maybe someday we can meet him." Jay makes Elena feel better.

The girl laid her body down while watching Julius who was busy reading books. It seems that Julius is a calm and clever Vampire. Nicholas's Version of Vampire. Julius had a petite face, deep dimples and the way he looked was a bit annoying.

"What happens to the human body when it turns into a vampire?" Suddenly Elena opened the conversation again.

Jay only glanced at Elena but did not answer the girl's question.

"Your body will feel hot, your vision is myopic and your ears will hear a humming sound so sharp that it feels piercing." Julius opens the next page.

"I also felt that when Chika bit me." Elena looked back at the bite wound in her hand. His fingers moved to follow the circumference of the wound, suddenly he remembered Jake.

"If Jake hadn't saved me, would I have turned into a Vampire?"

"Depends on the desire inside you. If you're tired of being human you're most likely to change but not all humans who've been bitten will turn into Vampires."

"Are any of you born human before you change?"

Jay immediately looked over. "What makes you ask that?"

Elena shrugged her shoulders. "I just want to know." Said slowly.

"Heeseung and I were born human but someone turned us into Vampires."

Elena immediately woke up from her sleep. The girl could not believe that Julius and Heeseung were human.

"Wow~ fantastic. Which life do you like? Human or Vampire?" Elena asked enthusiastically.

"Life depends on who lives. You want a human or a vampire, while you're still grateful you're gonna love your life."
