“Why are you in the way? You could have died,” he said throwing a sword covered in a forbidden spell. His hand was dripping blood from the incision of his own sword.
Toz could not speak, his brain immediately froze making words unable to throw on his lips. Not feeling the effort to protect that made Toz, almost delivered him to death.
Reve slightly pushed him, then shook his hands so that his blood was more scattered.
“Ke-why?”
“What?”
“Why are you trying to attack dwarves?” ask Toz.
“No business with you,” reply Reve.
The head of the village came out of the fire that burned down his house. Landed a foot not far from Reve's position and Toz stood up now.
Reve turned his body and looked at him, “now I lost my taste buds. Next time we continue,” he told the village chief.
“Nesian, treat him,” command the old man.
“Good!” Nesian raised his hand and pointed it at Reve, “liaythax nehriem miaglea (nehriem green ball),” he said. And the green ball that appeared in his palm instantly hid Reve within it.
“Village head! What happened?” ask one of the citizens.
“Village head,” call Oa with a heavy expression plastered on his face. “What happened?”
The village chief was still silently staring at Reve Nel Keres who had finished healing. “Oa, keep an eye on them both in the iron house. Make sure no one comes out of the village,” the village chief ordered.
“A-a, fine,” nod. He no longer spoke, for it seemed that the village chief would not answer his curiosity.
“Zerca!” call the village chief to one of the dwarves who was just silently watching the riot.
“Good!” it seemed like he understood the intention of the village chief when he called out his name.
“Izdignete se ot nishtoto (rise from nothingness)” he said.
And suddenly, the burning building was instantly swallowed by the shadow which left Toz flabbergasted. About 10 seconds the shadow immediately rotated to form a whirlwind in which there was a building resembling the initial shape before burning.
“I-it!” pekik Toz.
The whirlwind immediately vanished into the air leaving behind dust and leaves that were handed over to the surroundings. No more burning buildings, no more traces of fire, all returned to the way it was before the chaos in the village chief's residence occurred.
Zerca, the dwarf who used the resurrection spell, suddenly exhaled violently because of the tired snares he felt. Reve stared flat at the magical scene in front of him, except occasionally glancing at the village chief who no longer intended to continue the fight.
“Sucks,” umpatnya slowly. His steps began to widen to leave them out of nowhere.
“Hei! Where are you going!” yelled Oa following him.
“You also come with them,” the village chief ordered on Toz.
“B-good!” nod Toz to leave from there. He ran, chasing Reve and Oa who were not far enough ahead.
“Village head, what really happened?” ask Nesian.
“I was expecting something wrong with him. The spell, it is clear he is not just assandia (fighter) carelessly,” continued Zerca.
For a moment, the village chief did not answer their questions except to utter a different sentence. “Make sure hydra messengers do not know their whereabouts, and vice versa. Tighten the security of the village and do not let anyone enter it again,” his orders before leaving.
“Good!” reply everything in unison.
In the room in the building around him made of black iron, Reve also lay down on the bed not how big but fit enough for a man.
While Toz stared at him without blinking, even dim, at least the light from the candles in the chandelier was enough to help the lighting.
“You, didn't you say you just wanted to talk to the village chief? Then why are you fighting? Do you intend to kill him?!”
Reve did not respond, except touching the front end of her hair and playing it.
“Hei Reve's? You hear me not?!”
“I was talking to him, you guys just seem to bother without knowing anything.”
“What do you mean? Talkin' talkin? What talk did you guys do to burn down the house so?!” Toz is getting pissed.
“Only talk between adult men.”
“Heh! You kidding? Your face is not even older than mine!” grouse Toz. “Are you aware that your weapon almost injured one of the dwarves?!”
“Unfortunately you got in the way and I was forced to protect your stupidity,” plead Reve.
“Protect me? If you don't attack, then everything won't happen and then you won't get hurt like that either,” Oceh Toz unceasingly.
It seemed like he really liked to let go of whatever burden was in his brain, and it was evident from his expression of still wanting to say something.
Reve's face turned sour as he looked at her. “It's done? I want to sleep, so stop talking to me.”
“What?! Though there is still something I want to say and such is your response? You're such a bitch! It sucks! I'm sure no one wants to be friends with you!” insinuations.
Reve laughed softly, “friend? At least I'm not a loser who likes to be bullied.”
Toz was silenced, Reve's words directly pierced into his body so that he could no longer speak. He turned his gaze to calm himself, as it was still unusual with the sharp innuendo hitting his heart.
“You, are we one school?” Toz looked doubtfully at Reve.
“Do you think?”
Toz was silent for a moment before replying to her words. “It looks like so.”
“Maybe.”
Toz finally settles down on the bed he is sitting on. Deflecting Reve stared at the plain iron wall without a single window there. “Riz, how are you? I hope you're okay,” Inner Toz prays for him.
The night passed.
Now, the crow chirp in the morning that was approaching, dancing behind the trees accompanied by the roars of monkeys and other animals. All so noisy, so that the noise is trying to approach the ears of living settlements inhabited by dwarf nations.
Toz opened his eyes, writhing like worms on the surface. Suddenly, his eyes caught a pair of eyes looking sharply at him. Who else if it wasn't Near's eye. The black mamba snake that sits pretty on Reve's bed.
Toz he looks like that, although the reality is not clear whether the snake is sitting or standing because he is slithering.
Toz gulped roughly at his saliva, then realized Reve was eating wine in the corner.
“You! You're awake?” ask Toz who woke up from his sleep.
“They brought us food. But it's a pity we're not allowed out,” Reve explained. He ate the next wine and swallowed it with a flat expression.
“We can't go out because of your madness!” grouse Toz in heart. He went to the bathroom to clean up the traces of sleep on his face. Not feeling his stomach also began to sound, trying to tell complaints of hunger that struck.
“What is only this?” toz asked Reve in a wet face.
“Huh,” Grumble Toz. He took a banana and an apple and ate it. Everything in front of him was just fruits, of course it would not make him full.
But the memory of the grilled snake briefly kicked Toz's brain, trying to tell him it was better than the strange dish they gave him for breakfast.
Time continued and the two of them were still locked in the iron room. An advantage there is a bathroom there, just that living without windows is quite stifling for one of them.
“Reve, can't you do something? I've been calling them but no one answered,” shriek Toz at last.
“Until the next three days,” he said suddenly.
“A-what do you mean?”
“We will be cooped up in the next three days.”
“Three days? Wh why? It must be your fault for fighting the village chief without thinking. Now we're locked up like this with nothing! What if we stay here forever?! I have to go home to find the association crystal and meet my family!”
“Basic females.”
“What! You said I was what?!”
“Cerewet.”
“I just said what's in my brain, how can you call me that?! They were friendly to us before, but now look! Because of your madness we're locked up here with hunger. It's a good thing the village chief didn't order the death penalty for your behavior!”
“It's done?”
“What?!” Toz stared hard.
“Near, do something on his mouth,” command Reve on his snake. The pet darted forward towards Toz's bed.
“Aaah! What do you want to do?! Hush! Hush! Just go! Don't come any closer! Don't come any closer!” jerrit Toz.
But the snake still did not care and wrapped his body on one of the legs of the bed support.
“Aah! A toloong! He wants to kill me! He's gonna kill me!” toz shouted jumping from his bed and ran towards Reve.
“What are you doing?”
“Why are you going to kill me?! I was locked up because of you!”
“Really? Am I so?” tanya Reve is flat-tinted. Near was already silent in Toz's bed.
“Of course!”
“Do not shout near my ears, and get down from my bed.”
“Have your snake go first!”
“Near.” But the summoned snake instead rolled up its body and fell asleep indifferently to the two humans. “It looks like Near is tired and wants to sleep in your bed.”
“Shut up stupid! I don't care!”
“Then just sleep on the floor, because Near will not be able to obey you.”
“You! Aaaaaah!” toz's screams are upset.
If kept locked up with him, it looks like Toz will go crazy before achieving his dream.
A few hours had passed, while the two were just lazing around. It appears that Toz is leaning against Reve's sleeping feet.
“Reve, can I ask you something?”
“Mmm.”
“Why are you and the village head fighting?”
About a minute Reve silently stared at the ceiling before answering Toz's question.
“Because he didn't give me what I wanted.”
“B-really? What do you want?” Toz began to wonder.
“Something no one wants in this world.”
Toz felt strange hearing it, “what is it?”
“Freedom.”
Toz stared fixedly at the young man who was the same age as him, white skin more than himself, blackish blue hair and blue beads like the depths of the ocean adorning the handsome Reve look. Not a lie, even if he was a man, Inner Toz also admitted it.
“What freedom do people not want here?” toz muttered while staring at the empty air in front of him.
“Freedom from forbidden creatures.”
Toz's heart flinched, “what are you talking about? I don't understand at all what you mean!”
“Only a fairy tale, from the stories of the past of sinners,”.
“It looks like you know a lot about this world.”
“Entah.”
Toz looked back at him, “Reve, do gods really exist in this world?”
Reve did not respond, while Toz resumed his remarks.
“When I heard the truth about this world, I was really shocked and disappointed. I honestly think this is a fun new world because there are a lot of great guiders coming in and out of this place. But -”
“Naif,” cut Reve suddenly. “What do you expect? Even if raving is useless, you won't change anything with him. Just walk, if too busy listening to the story, then you will never get to the destination.”
“Ah!” Toz was shocked to hear Reve say that.
“There is no point in thinking about the contents of this world. We have dreams, and so do others. A story or legend is just a sleeping flower for its listeners. Believe it or not, there is no truth except the gods themselves who speak it.”
“A-what do you mean?”
Reve smiled, “we won't die as long as we don't trust anyone.” His words made Toz stare unblinkingly at him. While the snake that had seemed to sleep, now looked at the two in silence.
“What does that mean we can't trust anyone including friends?”
“The world is cruel Toz, when you put your trust in them, there may be a knife that leads to your heart.”
“Even if it's the village chief who has allowed us to stay here?”
“Heh! Including the gods who are worshipped in this place.”
