The last day that awaited arrived. After a long journey, finally three more hours Toz and Reve will arrive at the entrance of the Crystal hill area.
From the cliff where they were standing now, it was seen that the surrounding area was covered in towering white crystals.
“Hah .. hah .. hah .. we finally arrived. But it was still a long way away,” Toz breathily stared at the sparkle of light from the settlement that was still far ahead of him. “Are we going to rest first?”
“Ya,” Reve also walked while stomping feet to the ground edge of the cliff.
“What do you do?”
“We will decrease it.”
“But this is steep, we can die!” about Toz to him.
Reve turned around and looked at her, “hold me.”
“Hah? You mean?”
Reve approached and grabbed Toz's waist. “Hey, what do you want to hold my body?!” pekik Toz's.
“I wouldn't touch you stupid either. We're gonna jump, so don't scream or you're gonna die.”
“Tu-wait! Ap-” Toz mouth instantly closed Near wrapped around his head. Without a cue, Reve held tightly to Toz's waist and the two of them jumped down. Wanting to scream, the sensation of falling down made Toz cry without being able to anything.
“Dead! We're gonna die! We're gonna die! Dad mom ... I'm sorry I've been a useless child!” inner Toz prayed behind the sweep of the strong wind that enveloped his fall.
“Nigel (appear),” said Reve suddenly.
Unexpectedly, dozens of weapons in the air appeared under their feet forming a disc.
“Kraang!” toz and Reve's feet immediately landed on the floating weapons disc.
Until finally the dish fell down because of the heavy load that hit him. About a meter above ground level, the weapon stopped falling and managed to hold the two away from smelling the bottom of the rather dark abyss.
“I-I-I thought we were going to die,” Toz muttered while covered in nervous sweat.
Reve immediately pushed the boy down so that Toz fell to the ground.
“What are you doing stupid?! You want to kill me?!” toz Ogat.
“Cih, I've helped you,” respond Reve with a relaxed expression. He was still standing on a disk of weapons floating in the air.
“He-great,” Toz stunned to see it. Slowly the disc went down and the weapons disappeared one by one until Reve finally climbed to the ground. “That's your ability? Though I thought we were going to die, I didn't think you could fly.”
“Fly? It's just a coincidence my weapon can float,” Reve is soared.
“Very amazing, does assandia (fighter) can indeed pull out a lot of weapons?”
“Not really, only I can do it.”
“Really?”
“Yes, because I am very special,” Reve said as he stepped in the direction where the position of the Crystal hill is located.
“Cih, cocky!” inner Toz was irritated. “Are we not going to rest?”
“Yes, we will take a break after finding a tree that is quite interesting.”
“Hah .. alright,” Toz follow in his footsteps.
An hour later they found the tree. Rest there, while gazing at the view of the night sky filled with stars. Two large moons seemed to be emitting light, trying to tell me they were the real rulers.
“Will my gate open?” lirih Toz suddenly.
“Why did you say that?”
“Because I was curious, if I could gain strength once it came to a new place.”
There was no answer from Reve, as it was the stipulation of the world Guide. No matter how big one's expectations, not necessarily the wishful thinking according to the destiny described. Even if we want it so badly, fate will only laugh and stick to the stand.
The rest time began to reach the final stage. However, Toz's sight was still unshaken from the night sky that greeted him.
“Come we get off!” bring Reve.
They again continued the more troublesome journey, where the ground foothold was bumpy and slippery due to the flow of river water overflowing.
“Uuh ... I don't like this,” complained Toz.
Occasionally he glanced at the snake on Reve's neck.
“Reve,” call Toz.
“Mmm ...”
“After arriving at Kristal hill, what will we do?”
“Finding glass maker.”
“Glassmaker, I'm so curious what kind of person it is,” Toz murmured.
With wet feet, they finally reached the road leading to the entrance gate of the Crystal hill. In front, a gigantic staircase made of crystal led to the gate.
“Wah ... beautiful once,” Toz stared stunned.
“Ayo,” invite Reve.
They both walked down the road to the stairs.
“We're like being in another world.”
“We are indeed in another world,” replied Reve with a lazy face.
As soon as it reached the front of the gate, it appeared that two giants were closing the entrance with their huge spears. “Who are you!”
“Guider and candidate guider,” said Reve slightly looked up.
“What's your purpose for coming here?”
“We want to explore Kristal hill.”
“Please pass by,” the two giants gave way by pulling weapons to the right and left sides of his body. So that raises the glass between the weapons that rest on the crystal floor.
“Come,” Reve nods at Toz. Without a doubt, the two entered the glass path that made the first step of feeling an overwhelming heartbeat.
“What was that just?” tanya Toz looked back. They had just passed it but nothing happened.
“Now, maybe it's a sign that we've become one of the residents of this place.”
However, the sight that awaited them before their eyes was very unusual. Several glass streets were floating on the ceiling, making the place seem like a city within a fairy tale.
There were a lot of people wandering around, even animals around. But they seem indifferent to each other.
“It's really amazing,” Toz's eyes are unceasingly stunned.
He followed Reve's footsteps walking towards the left, where many towering buildings made of crystal were there.
The more he stepped the more Toz could not stop the flow of his head that glanced to and fro. But his footing slowed down as Reve entered one of the small alleys that was quite quiet.
“Reve?” call Toz but don't ignore it.
They were getting further and further into it, until finally the walls of the building that accompanied them were now made of black crystal entirely.
“Isn't this place too quiet?”
“Ya, this is our goal,” continued Reve.
Suddenly Toz blinked a few times when he realized Near the snake was no longer in Reve's neck.
“Where is the snake?” inner Toz muttered.
Reve's legs finally came to a halt at a place that looked like a small bar. The hustle and bustle of sound quite breaks down in it, signifying the many inhabitants there.
“Come in.”
“But, this place right-” Toz can not continue his speech because Reve has already entered into.
“What's your order Nak?” ask the barmaid.
“Can prepare us food and drink?” pinta Reve is polite.
“Alright, do you want that intoxicating?”
“No, I want a normal one for two,” Reve said.
Then he and Toz went to one of the empty tables by the window away from the entrance.
“We eat here? What to wear?” whisky Toz.
“I have money,” Reve leaned her body against the back of the chair.
Toz was a little uneasy because there were some eyes looking towards the two of them. There were even people who looked like monsters taking a glance at him.
He occasionally stole a glance at Reve's exhausted-looking face while staring at the bar ceiling.
About 15 minutes later, Reve's order finally arrived. Looks two servings of jumbo fried chicken appetizing posing beautifully on a plate. Two glasses of drink with orange decoration on it also accompanied them.
“Let's eat, after this we will look for lodging,” lirih Reve started devouring chicken thighs in his hands.
Without wasting any more time, Toz also ate the chicken greedily. A slight smile, slanted on Toz's lips as this was the first time he had eaten such a normal and delicious meal. Although he was actually curious why the bar serves fried chicken.
“Hei! Are you going to take part in the competition?!” ask someone in the bar to his partner.
“Entai, what is the prize?”
“I heard it's salamander blood and fairy tears, isn't the gift very attractive?”
“Yes, but the ones that participate are definitely more interesting.”
“I heard siren top brass is also present.”
“Really? Did he also participate? If so, our hope of victory will not remain.”
“Cih, why do the higher-ups always appear when I travel? We also want to get the reward,” grumbled the guy.
“But, it looks like this month the competition is quite stressful,” timpal waitress.
“Stretch? Why?”
“Didn't you hear the news about hydra?” ask the waiter.
Hearing the name of the hydra, Toz's mouth was immediately restrained while devouring food.
“Hydra?” What's with the nation?”
“One of their soldiers died horribly while hunting,” chimpanzees a tall brown man. There was a strange floral tattoo on his hand.
“Really? Isn't dying a natural thing?”
“Korazar? Is dying while hunting on your own land really a natural thing?” ask the strange tattooed man.
“On your own land?”
“Yes! I heard that the one who died was a commander-level assandia (fighter). The condition of the corpse is very terrible,” explained the barmaid. “And the news was quite horrendous, because one of the higher-ups sent an envoy to look for vandals in each of the lands.”
“I don't think, whereas the dead are only subordinates, but their actions are like losing nobles.”
“Maybe this has something to do with the issues of betrayal of one of the nations.”
“What do you mean?” ask the man for a tattooed man.
“Do you not know? Reportedly, there is one nation that is preparing to trigger a war,” explained the tattooed man with a slight whisper. “It is possible that the killing of one of the hydra is the initial step.”
Toz was speechless, even the originally delicious chicken began to taste strange. “Not exhausted?” tanya Reve noticed.
“I-it.”
“Wait by the door, I will pay first,” Reve brought two saucer filled with chicken that has not run out half to the bar table where the waiter was busy gossiping with the visitor earlier.
“Please pack this,” pinta Reve on that server. “Sorry, but where can I find lodging around here?”
“Hosting? If you want, go behind the bar. Go down the street, and you'll find a door made of red crystal. There is an inn that is quite crowded visitors.”
“Thank you,” said Reve.
The waiter then handed the package containing fried chicken to Reve. “All two gold pieces,” clear waiter as well as bar owner asking for payment.
Reve took something out of his pocket, then handed the man two pieces of gold coins. “Oh yes new boy. Be careful, because in this place a lot of dark eyes,” said the barmaid gave a warning.
“Dark eyes?”
“Yes, hunters who will finish off treasures and also the lives of new people in this city.”
“Sounds like a robber.”
“They are not robbers, they are devotees. All the tumbals will be dedicated to the god for his immortality,” cut the tattooed man.
“Ooh, interesting once,” Reve smiled thinly. “Thank you for the warning, I will always remember,” he left them.
“Let's go,” take Reve on Toz who has been waiting for him for quite a while.
“Where are we going?”
“Hosting, I already know where it is,” Reve touched the wall that fenced the road. The alley to the back of the bar was quite long and quiet, there was only one lantern stuck in the wall on the left.
“Why does this area feel so awful?” mumbling Toz.
“Yes, to the point of allowing robbers to loot a new child like us,” sentences Reve to silence Toz. He stopped and looked back. “Is there anything you need from us?” reve's words broke the silence of the road.
There was no answer, making Reve smile warmly. “This is the robber the bar owner said? More like a bum in the middle of the night,” Reve quipped sarcastically.
Toz's body trembled violently, as soon as he saw three body figures taller than him and Reve appeared in front. Not only that, it turned out that there was another one behind them, leaving both of them surrounded and unable to go anywhere.
“Aren't you guys at the bar? I'm sure I've seen that face in the corner,” between Reve and the rest. Making the body of the uninvited figure slightly flinched in shock from hearing it.
“I don't think you can recognize us. Though our faces have been covered this deep, "take one of them while pulling the headgear to cover the whole face.
“If you don't want to be caught, just smash that face. Easy?” Reve expressed his expression by raising his right hand which was holding a pack of fried chicken.
“It looks like you're great enough to be arrogant,” interrupted someone behind them.
Toz could do nothing, except let cold sweat wash over his skin. Even her chatty voice would not dance at a time like this.
“How can Reve be this relaxed? Is he not afraid of them?” toz's nervous inner voice.
“No need to talk much, what do you want?” ask Reve finally.
“Harta and also your heart.”
“Hah?” Reve tilted his face. “For what?”
“For gods.”
“God who is out of nowhere yes,” grin Reve widened.
The mood became quiet. Suddenly, the four people who locked them up pulled out guns in the form of knives and needles. “What is it?” Reve looked at the needle in their hands.
“Reve, it looks like our situation is quite bad.”
“Why? You scared?” tanya Reve had a calm face.
Toz did not answer, as the sound of footsteps of the people behind them approached.
“Just calm down, didn't I tell you? If I'm so great,” Reve smiled cynically. “Near, time to hunt,” murmured slowly.
Suddenly everything was silent, the footsteps of the four people who were about to attack without drawing attention were no longer heard.
There was no groaning, no crying, but the four assailants fell into a terrible state. Toz's petrified legs could not be anything, because the lightning-fast scene that occurred right in front of his eyes.
Near, the snake appeared suddenly in front of Toz as it wrapped around the four lifeless hearts of the opponents around them.
