Death Games

Death Games
Punishment and Justice

“D-he's Her Highness Blerda? Young once.”

“I just found out that it's our lead.”

“I've seen it. Said he was great.”

“She's one of the best students in Hadesia.”

“Hadesia? That ruthless training? Isn't everyone there dead?”

“Who are the two young men next to him?”

“Wah, our Queen is indeed very beautiful!”

That's how the people downstairs are. Reiterating their various thoughts, as if forgetting that the news of the execution had been scattered there.

“Your Majesty! Is it true that you will execute two young Siren nobles?”

“Cruel! Is the rumor true?!”

“He said you'd behead them and hang his head on the square! How horrible!”

The voice of his people returned. Slowly, Blerda moved her net and looked at Bleria through the corner of her eye. Until finally the presence of Mr. Criber cut off his eyes on his sister.

“Blerda. Please tell the people that it's not true. Let not the families of Gilles and Sidag oppose us,” whispered the old man to him.

Bleria just smiled looking at him. “I understand.”

A moment of relief struck the hopeful Lord Criber. Really, he did not want the two noble girls to die just like that. After all they are descendants of nobles, one of the important assets that support the ability in sirens. Regardless of what the problem is, their lives are far more important than their sins.

“Your Majesty! Is that true?!”

“Why should the two nobles be executed?! They're one of the important people of the Siren nation!”

“Free them!”

“Their law if they did wrong!”

The screams kept on reverberating. Until finally Mr. Criber's hand was raised to tell them to be quiet. “Please talk, Blerda.”

“Thank you.” The girl then swept a glance around him. Slowly, his mouth opened and uttered a word in a voice full of authority.

“Include, I'm Blerda Sirena. The highest peak holder of the Siren nation, has indeed sentenced to death for the Arch Sidag and also Gilles Smonea.”

“But why?!” now the one who asked was one of the adjutants from the Sidag family.

“Because they entered the forbidden area without permission from the nations.”

Instantly silence hit. Even Aza and Kers only noticed the figure speaking.

“Entering the forbidden area?” Mr. Criber repeated the words of the girl next to him.

“We both know that it is not a place that can be visited.”

“Then the death penalty is cruel to him. You are the leader of this nation! You should be able to give them a chance and understand their actions. They may have been khilaf. After all, it's just a forbidden area isn't it? It's not like they opened a demon gate or anything like that,” interrupted someone from the Gilles family. He was Vodkhas Smonea, the father of the woman to be executed.

“Do you question my leadership?” The listeners gasped as his questions struck consciousness. Four words that can silence the surrounding atmosphere. “Only restricted area? Didn't he? Speech truly symbolizes knowledge. That is the mischief of those who know nothing. Now answer me. Why do you think the area of Gods temples is called the forbidden area?”

No one was able to answer him, until Mr. Criber interrupted him. “Blerda, no need to talk much. Just cancel their execution.”

“Yang King me or you?” the figure of the siren official was silenced. “Let me continue, so they know what's out there.”

Honestly, Kers and Aza wanted to laugh at Mr. Criber's shock at Blerda's words. This was truly an interesting spectacle for them, as so rarely did such a thing appear right before his eyes.

Nobody really can talk. Those who were busy on his world now knew what the secret was inside the temples of legend. Monsters, terrible figures and should remain buried as they should.

“But, the monster didn't come off at all right? No reason to execute them.”

Blerda narrowed her eyes at Gilles' mother who was speaking. “Then you who disagree please raise your hand.”

As Blerda said, many of the people before him raised their hands. Evidence that the execution was immoral punishment for them.

“Almost all nobles reject it.” He then chuckles softly. “As I recall, when Mr. Criber asked for an opinion on the execution of a holy water thief, almost all the nobles also raised their hands in approval. I'm right, aren't I?”

Jerked. I don't know what he meant. People did not understand, so did his classmates who glanced in wonder.

“Blerda?” call Mr. Criber.

“Arogan. So since they are nobles, should be given forgiveness? Then because the holy water thief is a lowly citizen, allowed to get punishment? Execution is too cruel in your opinion, then being a slave to death what does it mean in your eyes?”

“Blerda,” interrupted Mr. Criber was shocked by his remarks.

“Why doesn't anyone speak? I must admit, since the nobles and elders interfered too much, the law became unfair to all its inhabitants. If you think status can fade sin, aren't you more arrogant than God?”

“Your Majesty, why are you talking like that?” one of the Elders voiced his surprise.

“Capricorn,” call Blerda.

“Blerda, why are you—”

“Megalodon.”

“Blerda!” hardik the sirens suddenly.

But late, the sky immediately rumbled dark and the ground seemed to be watering on the footing. Gusts of rough wind reverberated, and the rain began to fall. The sensation began to gripping accompanied by horror enveloped the situation.

Float.

Not far from before Blerda Sirena, two monstrous figures had stood in the air before his eyes.

Capricorn, servant of the Gods. His horns were pitch-red yet his body was monstrous black. His six hands were covered in scattered smoke. The tail is like a wild fox. However, his eyes were like the darkness of night. There was a huge spear in hand, like it was going to split the ocean.

Megalodon, the pet of the Gods. Creatures from the deepest oceans. The fangs extend it, like knives in battle. Face resembles a human, scaly skin like steel. Vision painted light, its aura was like fog before the eyes. The long sword in his hand, as if calling him to cleave the sky above.

All gasped for the horror of the figure in their sight.

“Blerda, what do you mean indeed—”

“They, are the soul of the Scodeaz (controller) belonging to the Gods. And can only be summoned by the owner of the throne. Among the leaders of the nations, only my voice is heard. So, which is purer? Their souls or ours?”

“They followed my words. But it seems like my people still doubt my position. If you cannot accept my decision, take up arms and challenge them. And if unable, then remain submissive under my rule.”

What a shocking statement. Of course Aza and Kers did not expect, if Blerda was not fully supported by his people as King. Even if his abilities are extraordinary, there are others who are expected to be his leaders.

A control puppet to enrich the lives of some of its rope holders. And Blerda, is not the figure expected of them.

“I've decided. Execution will remain on the run! Their heads will be hung in the square of the city, and their pieces will be given to all the nations. As a sign of guilt from sirens and empusa, for harassing the area forbidden by the Gods.”

“Capricorn! Do!” blerda's orders finally.
