48. The Greedy Cat (1)

Some say before we die, we will see a flashback of our lives like seeing a story.

Strange black butterflies swarmed my body, and it felt like they were sucking my energy slowly. The pain I never felt attacked me as if telling me what pain on the verge of death was.

'Damn't!'

I tried to scream but my voice didn't come out. And on the verge of my limits I saw the face of one of my rivals and enemies, as if his figure was now haunting my mind, , his face seemed to look at me with a demeaning look.

'No! I can't die!'

His arrogant face seemed to tell me that forever I would not be able to chase after him.That look, that voice and that face, I must not die before destroying everything!

"I can't die before I defeat Lucifer!!"

My power exploded like a sandstone, provoking my natural instincts as a demon. My golden sand appeared and turned all the butterflies into gold and fell to the floor, I could feel my demonic energy becoming stronger.

"Give yourself a life now human! I will turn you into gold and put on display in my palace, so that all men know what the consequences of daring to interfere with my business!" My emotions are overflowing like a storm I can't even control.

But instead of being afraid, the human before me once again smiled. I hate that smile, that smile that says as if he knows everything, that smile of pride that sucks as much as Lucifer's.

I wanted to kill him immediately but only a few moments after that I felt my body so tired and within seconds I fell, my hands were shaking and it felt like my head was hurting so much. Amidst the confusion I vaguely saw the human talking.

"What's wrong? it seems that you are using too much of your strength to escape into this world" my eyes widened and I looked at him with eyes that began to close.

"How can a man like you.."

'How did you know I came here to escape?!'

Many things confused me but in the end I could not continue my sentence, my consciousness disappeared instantly and everything went dark.

I don't know how long I've been unconscious, but I clearly remember a strange observation. In a room so large and magnificent I bowed my head to a red-robed man with bright red circles over his head, his wings on his back were brown with a blood-red gradation under his wings.

I don't know why I feel like I'm dealing with a demon lord. His aura was so dark yet pure at the same time, a great power enveloped him and beside him, Lucifer seemed to be standing still. The figure smiled at me and gave me an order.

"Wake up Mammon"

Right at that moment it seemed like I was over and I woke up on a pillow. The man who attacked me yesterday looked smiling at me and his big hand rubbed my head.

Wait is his hand this big?

"Oh you're finally getting good. I thought you were really dead from not waking up when I called you a few times" he said, sounding so annoying but not as surprising as he continued his sentence "do you know when you turn into a fat cat like this a lot of people praise you"

I quickly got up and looked to the left, where the dream of a mirror was placed and right after that I shouted loudly. Right on the mirror was an orange-haired cat with a plump body and big cheeks in sight.

"Why did I become a cat?!!"

"Good, how cunning are you human!" I looked at him with a sharp gaze, and my anger grew even greater as he once again mocked my appearance.

"i didn't know you'd be this cute when you were a cat, Mammon" he continued, if I hadn't been a cat I'd have hit him in the face several times.

"Hey man! Give me back to my life!" I looked at the human in front of me with an annoyed look. But let alone listen to my protest he looked up at the window and asked.

"So you made me read that book on purpose?!" I was angry with him but then calmed myself down and answered him "Have it been, ck the human world is complicated" The book he gave me is a breakdown of the system of this world. The book contains the culture of nobility, the role of government, the weakness of ordinary people and so forth.

Now it becomes clear why I felt strange when I found the book, the purpose of this human being is only one. He wanted to show me what a human world I had never seen or known. I laid my body on the sofa that felt comfortable and soft, tried to sleep and did not want to think about anything else about this human in front of me. But if he did not let me just like that he suddenly stuck and asked me.

"You want to go for a walk?" He showed a smile and laughed a little.

I stare up and with a sinless face this man smiles at me, which sucks. Why out of so many names did he even give me such a name!!!!

You mean you want to make me play with weaker animals and more vulnerable than humans? haha don't joke

I suddenly just realized, there is a god energy around here not even one but two gods with high power?!. I stared in all directions, trying to figure out where this energy came from, until my eyes locked onto two objects. Their bodies give off so much pure god energy and warm aura that we devils hate.

Wait-after having seen through this energy from God Indra and a half-human God named Nanaru. I heard that they are among the gods that we demons should avoid, damn it. It would be bad if they knew where I was!

But why are they shaped like tiny rabbits and black cats?!

"Well Momon, this is Naru, the other one's Rian's cat, his name's Mr Blue"

Ah wait.. don't tell me I have to be friends with them?!

All right, I'll take back my words about animals that are weaker and lower than humans..
