Meanwhile, under his subconscious. As far as the eye could see there were only shards of glass, all around it turned white and blood dripped forming a road marker. In his subconscious, Novan walks with the blood and what he meets on the other end is a black fish that dies on a piece of glass.
On it a bird flew around him. The fish died before it could fly like a bird, not realizing that it was not destined to fly in the sky, but to dive in the deep ocean. That is the description of the consequences that every person must accept when fixated on the advantages of others, the consequences for envious humans and trying to imitate others without realizing their position.
"Pathetic"
A foot stepped on the fish and Novan stared at the figure of his other self looking cold face towards him, like a world that trampled the lives of miserable humans.
"A fish can never fly like a bird, all have their own destiny and position. Envy at an unachievable point is a sad act" Novan fell silent at the sentence. A sentence describing how the world views, that which is below will not be able to fly upwards. That a person must inevitably surrender to the destiny he has and must not envy others.
"Then what if it were the opposite?" Novan opened his mouth and finally spoke "instead of envying the bird and trying to fly, what if the fish uses his envy to push himself to dive further and further in the water until finally the bird thinks.."
"If I could be like him too"
A surprised expression appeared on Novan's face from another round, and then Novan resumed his sentence "removing envy is a difficult thing, he said, ordinary people must have been and will feel what envy and jealousy is." Novan's speech sounds like a fact, envy is such a common emotion that people do not realize they secretly want what each other has.
Disquiet about what they have, and the desire to have a life like everyone else. That is called envy, the nature of which is one of the seven great sins in the world.
"So it's impossible to ask someone not to envy others"
"Even the demon of greed is envious of the demon of envy itself for not being able to control the water"
.
.
What Novan said in his subconscious was slung out of his mouth even though his body was being controlled by his other self.
Leviathan was silent a thousand languages, a light appeared in her eyes as she heard those sentences and words. What Novan said seemed to describe what Leviathan was experiencing and what would happen to him if he continued to be in this library. In the end it will end up like a dried up fish trying to fly like a bird.
Leviathan could not argue with that, he had indeed always dreamed of flying in the warm and bright sky like other demons, he said, he always stared at Mammon's wings as the demon of greed flew through the sky along with his golden sandstorm, while Leviathan could only stare from deep, dark and cold water.
Leviathan truly craved freedom over the high and warm skies, out of the cold and deep seas, out of the place where he should be. Therefore he was willing to escape to the human world shortly after his little whale died, all this time only the whale that was the reason he continued to be in the demon world, being in the dark and cold sea. But as soon as the pope was gone, Leviathan momentarily asked himself.
And then he went to the comfort dream, the place where the warm and sunny sky was. A dream place he has lived all his life.
At first glance the memories twisted in his head he went into the world of comfort dream by carrying the corpse of his little whale, hoping that at least he could bury the corpse in the fertile soil with the light of the sun shining on him. But then he met an angel, and with sweet words the angel said that he was able to bring the pope to life.
"I'll live what's yours, but promise me you'll love your life from now on"
Leviathan received the angel's hand, as a sign that he agreed to the terms that the angel gave. The whale then became whole, the wounds on his body disappeared and his body began to move. Leviathan is thrilled to be reunited with her pet, the only friend she can trust other than Mammon.
That pleasure left Leviathan unaware that it was the beginning of the chaos within him. Like a man destined to breathe, Leviathan is destined as a symbol of envy itself can not resist or force himself not to envy humans who live comfortably in the world of comfort dreams. Even so he did not hate anyone, he did not intend to destroy anything, all he wanted was to live comfortably and throw away his destiny as a demon prince.
But even so he still had broken the angel's terms, the pope he kept slowly grew and never satiated as much as Leviathan gave his energy to be eaten by the pope. The culmination of the dissatisfaction was when Leviathan left and left his whale in a cave in the forest, the whale let out a voice and fog that lured everyone who entered the forest to come into its mouth.
Leviathan knew it was not a good thing, he did not want the whale that always accompanied him to grow into a monster, although on the other hand he could sense that the whale was no longer the friend he recognized. Leviathan loved the pope more than herself, it was because she felt that the pope was the only reason she could be here, the only friend who could treat her loneliness all her life.
"I want you to be free and enjoy the life I want, so keep living"
Leviathan was eventually swallowed up by the pope, making himself a source of strength from the pope. Meanwhile the whale came out of the cave and flew into the sky, as if to realize Leviathan's dream to fly in the air.
In the end all the gods laughed when they found out that their plan had worked. And they sent down a message to the humans.
"Don't let a creature who is never grateful for its destiny live. Arrest him and show him what god's power is"
That was the beginning of the Leviathan extermination movement. Inside the whale, Leviathan could feel the pain that the whale felt, but he could not escape from inside. Leviathan realized his mistake because he believed in creatures who were predicted as messengers of gods. He realized that the gods were setting him up. Even so he also knew there was nothing else he could do, for some times there would be a human who managed to get to his place, a human with such a powerful envy feeling energy, he said, yet they all ended up dying from their envy.
And now for the first time he saw someone with such a powerful envy energy yet that person was not inferior to his own envy.
His eyes were bright red and his face had become so solemn and cold, the dagger in his hand was enveloped by black smoke emitting an aura of pure darkness. Their eyes now meet each other and Leviathan can feel something different in Novan. However, instead of fearing that Leviathan might begin to believe in Novan, he assumes that Novan is the only human being who understands Leviathan's identity, even more so than he himself.
"Then what should I do in order to take advantage of this feeling of envy?"
