The black energy Fei Chen released allowed him to move back and fight alongside Murong Liuyu. But no matter how determined Fei Chen was, Murong Liuyu could finish off all the remaining Conferred Humans without the slightest difficulty, and certainly without any help from him.
“I've guessed the boy is still a boy.” Murong Liuyu's every word made Fei Chen feel annoyed.
Moreover, after seeing Fang Huo's fight, Fei Chen was finally aware of his abilities.
Fang Huo approached Fei Chen and Murong Liuyu who looked to be in a tense situation.
“Chen, how? Are you interested in being my student? I haven't taken a student for a long time, so I hope you accept it.” Fang Huo's words made Murong Liuyu stare at Fei Chen's sinister gaze.
“Grandfather, I don't think he deserves to be your student. Its origin is unclear and so far you have only one disciple. Not even your grandson you raised to be your student!” Murong Liuyu resolutely refused, while Fang Huo laughed softly.
“I'm old, I didn't raise you to be a student for some reason, but I still teach you.” Fang Huo replied to Murong Liuyu's words.
‘Why do I feel annoyed to hear this woman reject Senior Fang's invitation?!’ Fei Chen stared intently at Murong Liuyu who was staring sinisterly at him.
“Good..” Instantly Murong Liuyu and Fang Huo fell silent. The two looked at Fei Chen and waited for the next greeting.
“So you want to be my student-”
“Not so I mean, Senior Fang.” Fei Chen was staring at the cynical Murong Liuyu without caring about Fang Huo who saw him, “Senior Murong, it seems like you have always rejected this existence of me and somehow I feel annoyed every time I hear your babble.”
Murong Liuyu unleashed a huge amount of energy, “To the size of a boy, it turns out you are good at talking!”
Fang Huo was about to reprimand Murong Liuyu, but was surprised by Fei Chen who looked completely unafraid of his grandson.
“Bokah? So if I am not a boy, will Senior Murong accept my existence as a swordsman?!” Fei Chen said in a high tone making Murong Liuyu slightly jerked, “To prove it, I will kill the swordsman who has abilities like that damn tiger mask!”
“Don't dream! Instead of killing one of the Six Profound Shadows, you will only die by them! You self-destructive boy!” Murong Liuyu let out a long sigh and regulated his breathing flow trying to be patient in the face of Fei Chen's words.
“I don't dream, before my death, I will make you acknowledge myself!” Fei Chen grinned, while Murong Liuyu was unable to say anything.
“What do you mean by that, Chen?” Fang Huo looked at Fei Chen with a probing gaze.
“Aura wrapped around your heart..” Fang Huo was unable to say anything other than closing his eyes.
“Seeing a talented genius like you, makes me remember Ander and Xiner.” As Fang Huo said so, Murong Liuyu widened his eyes then looked at Fei Chen closely.
“It looks like the residents will be here..” Fang Huo turned his head back as he reached into his robe before giving some rare, expensive pills to Fei Chen, “Chener, accept this gift of mine. It cannot heal your internal wounds, but I will try to find a way to heal you.”
Fei Chen received the pill Fang Huo gave, “Thank you very much, Senior Fang. Junior will not forget your kindness.”
Fang Huo smiled faintly, “I want to invite you to come home with me, but you will definitely reject him soon. So I want you to stop by the Peach Valley in the near future.”
Fang Huo disappeared from Fei Chen's sight, followed by Murong Liuyu. Fei Chen stared at the corpses of the Demon Beasts scattered along with Gang Rui's body, while the body of the Beast Man vanished without a trace.
“Lucky..” Fei Chen muttered softly.
‘What's lucky, Chen?’ The Sweet Cat leapt over his head and stomped his feet slowly.
Guan Zhou walked over to Fei Chen who was standing at the city gate. The boy's body was filled with the bloodstains of the Demonic Beasts and Vast Humans he had killed.
“Did you kill them all, young swordsman?” Guan Zhou asked and felt disbelief.
“No, it wasn't me who finished them all.” Fei Chen replied while looking at the faces of the townspeople who were afraid of him.
‘Truely too, I came here because I wanted to find information..’ Fei Chen looked for Hua Ying's whereabouts.
“Not to go low, young swordsman. I as Mayor of Huafei City say a big thank you, and I will give you a reward if you are willing to stay in this city.” Guan Zhou asked Fei Chen for help.
“Sorry Uncle Guan, I can't linger here.” Fei Chen scratched his head slowly, “Oh, yes. Where's Senior Hua?”
“The child..” Guan Zhou turned his head towards the townspeople who were staring at him in astonishment, “The boy is away..”.
“If you're looking for me, I'm here.” Fei Chen was shocked because Hua Ying suddenly appeared among the crowd of residents, while Guan Zhou choked.
“It's going to be fast. I intend to recover my inner strength here, but I don't want to get too involved with troublesome things.” Fei Chen walked away from the city gate while staring at Hua Ying who was chasing after him from behind, “Senior Hua, follow me.”
Fei Chen's tone sounded like commanding it irritated Hua Ying, “Your arrogant attitude is annoying, you know. But I like it.”
Fei Chen and Hua Ying left Huafei City without a word. Even Guan Zhou and the townspeople fell silent watching the two go away from the city gate.
“Young man, don't you want to take the flesh and the Devil's Gem?” Guan Zhou shouted loudly.
Fei Chen looked back and noticed the faces of the residents, “I don't need. You are free to do anything to the corpse of the Demon Beast. And don't forget to bury that human corpse.”
Guan Zhou and the townspeople were shocked to hear Fei Chen's words. They immediately did as Fei Chen said. The response of the townspeople to Fei Chen changed, most of them were grateful for Fei Chen's kindness.
Hua Ying watched Fei Chen closely, the girl smiled sweetly.
“When we are the same age, maybe I've fallen in love with you.”
Fei Chen's eyes glared sharply, “Love? Huh huh? What are you talking about, Senior Hua?!”
Hua Ying chuckled at Fei Chen's innocent reaction, “I speak for myself, don't you think about it. You better tell me why you're looking for me?”
Fei Chen was silent for a moment before replying, “I want you to take me to the Ma Empire. I'll give you a reward.”
Hua Ying smiled, but her smile looked different, “Alright, but I have one request for you. Only one request.”
“Alright, tell me your request is.” Fei Chen looked at Hua Ying continuously smiling.
“I want you to restore my crippled meridian points and this poison curse.” Hua Ying said his request.
Without a second thought, Fei Chen replied, “Alright, I will heal that meridian point of yours and that curse you mean.”
Fei Chen's reply made Hua Ying shocked.
