About five hours Fei Chen was in the Cloud Demon Forest with Deshe. Fei Chen climbed the entire contents of the Cloud Demon Forest and only found a few not-so-dangerous Demon Beasts.
“Very different from the name.” mumbled Fei Chen after knowing that the Cloud Demon Forest is like a labyrinth so it has a name that seems terrible.
“So will we go directly to the nearest city Tuanku?” tanya Deshe who served as a guide.
Fei Chen nodded and told Deshe to move quickly. The two of them exited the Cloud Demon Forest towards Pingyang City.
On the way to Pingyang City, Fei Chen met Hirataka. Fei Chen asked Qiao Ling and Ju Ling Shui's condition.
“Sorry Mr. Chen, the two women I watched but when I found out they were not your wives, I left them.” Hirataka's reply made Fei Chen rub his face.
“Yes, they are not my wife. But I can tell you if the eight female elders are my future wife,” Fei Chen said casually.
“What a great you, Mr. Chen. Treasures, thrones and women... Everything falls into your hands. May glory always be with you.” Hirataka responded to Fei Chen with a proud face.
“I mean..” Fei Chen became confused as to what to talk about.
“Hirataka, we still have time before the Fire Dragon Festival right?” Fei Chen switched the conversation and wanted to give Hirataka a new assignment.
“My original plan depends on what I bring in the intrusion. Deshe and you are the top. I won't be taking my wife, but it looks like it will be difficult because some of them will force me to come along. So Hirataka, I want you to remain disguised as a member of the Sakura Blood Organization and help with infiltration access.”
Hearing Fei Chen's request made Hirataka dumbfounded. He had never thought of doing this before. Hirataka thought after serving Fei Chen, he was challenging this idea hard but because of this request Fei Chen made Hirataka not think twice and immediately agreed.
“Hamba will not disappoint your trust, Tuanku.” Hirataka saluted Fei Chen then looked at Deshe long ago.
“Five more months Fire Dragon Festival will be done. But we don't know what's behind Sun Yelong's plan, it could have been delayed even sooner. So you have to be prepared for everything that happens, Mr. Chen,”, Hirataka said.
“Before leaving, can you give Deshe orders to split her clone to act as messenger, Mr Chen?” pinta Hirataka continued.
Hearing Hirataka's request made Fei Chen smile faintly. Without a second thought Fei Chen directly ordered Deshe to divide her clone into sections that acted as messengers while helping Hirataka.
“What five clones are enough?” deshe asked and answered a nod of the head by Hirataka.
“More than enough,” Hirataka said.
After that Hirataka told everything that happened in Pingyang or the Yangdian Capital. Then after explaining Hirataka said goodbye to Fei Chen before going through Fei Chen's Teleportation Portal to Xuangang.
After Hirataka's departure, Fei Chen resumed his journey to Pingyang with Deshe.
“Deshe, if it is true what Hirataka said then in Yangping, I will deal with the members of the Seven Demonic Flowers,” Fei Chen and Deshe said that everything will go perfectly.
Fei Chen sighed, “The problem isn't there, Deshe. What I am worried about is the condition of Senior Qiao Ling and his Senior Ju Ling Shui. From what I heard, the abilities of the members of the Seven Demonic Flowers are poison. And I hate poison.”.
There was a look of annoyance on Fei Chen's face after saying so. Of course it caught Deshe's attention.
“Hate poison? My master hates poison? I really can't believe..” Deshe himself found it strange that Fei Chen was being honest in his words.
“My master, you're not lying, are you?” ask Deshe to make sure.
Fei Chen looked at Deshe and asked back, “Do I look like a person who is lying?”
“Yang is right!” Deshe was shocked.
“Toxins have no effect on your body My lord. So I thought you were bragging or lying.” Deshe continued.
Fei Chen shook his head then sighed back, “You could say when it comes to poison, I am always lucky.”
“Lucky? Lucky for what my lord?” Deshe asked while Fei Chen smiled thinly full of mystery.
“Lucky... Lucky for getting to know a woman more closely,” Fei Chen replied briefly.
‘Knowing a woman? What does it mean?’ Deshe did not understand Fei Chen's words.
Fei Chen himself hoped that the situation in Yangping City was not as severe as he thought given Hirataka's words. But after seeing for himself how the villages he visited were on his way to Yangping City, Fei Chen realized that the economy of the Yang Empire was very concerning.
“So Hirataka was right, only a few cities have strong city defenses. They make the people below as an example if life in this country is the law of the jungle, while people who want to live safely must pay dearly in the city.” Fei Chen muttered as he saw how the village he was visiting had just been attacked by a Demon Beast.
Fei Chen told Hirataka if Emperor Yang Ergou had the ability to poison a Demon Beast so that the Demon Beast was subject to him. That ability also belonged to two members of the Seven Flower Demon.
Over the years Emperor Yang Ergou established five defense cities including the Yangdian Capital as safe territories. While small towns and villages are examples of attacks carried out by him himself.
Controlling a Demon Beast with poison to scare its inhabitants into even annihilating it, Emperor Yang Ergou did all of that due to the orders of Bao Hong Zheng who was one of the Five Fingers of the Demon Mao Gang.
Fei Chen would not hesitate and thought twice about killing every swordsman or Imperial troop he encountered on the way. Even the Demon Beasts they controlled did not escape from the swing of his sword.
“My lord, I thought conditions like this were common, but I didn't expect your reaction to be like this.” Deshe could see the fury on Fei Chen's face.
“Deshe, I'm angry because of the person who controls them all... Manipulating everyone thinks all this is just entertainment.” Fei Chen said in a calm voice before rising.
“I can't forgive this deed! Mao Gang!”
