PPFC 286 - The 4th Floor of the Demon Goddess Ruins
“Are you not ashamed to say all that?” Zhang Xue looked at Fei Chen who had a flat expression as usual.
“For what's shy?” Fei Chen replied.
Zhang Xue shook his head in disbelief and continued walking beside Fei Chen before the four of them finally passed the uphill road.
Fei Chen was surprised to find out that the fourth floor of the deepest part of the Demon Goddess Ruins actually had to walk up to a hill.
‘All this feels like an illusion... Am I caught in the influence of illusion?’ Fei Chen sat up and watched his surroundings which were filled with trees and hills.
After that the four of them reached the top of a high hill where a strong wind immediately welcomed their arrival.
Fei Chen looked at the sky which was slowly getting dark and before long the sky was split open revealing the body of Shin Riu who was on the back of the Lightning Eagle.
“Three of you stay here..” Fei Chen instantly disappeared after saying so.
“Isn't that Riuriu?” Zhang Xue looked at the back of the Lightning Eagle and saw Fei Chen kill the Lightning Eagle then take Shin Riu's body.
Then Fei Chen came back down and put Shin Riu's body. Immediately Zhang Xue approached to wake Shin Riu aided by Xi Taohua and Hua Ruyun.
While Fei Chen pulled the Hell King Sword as the sky started to rumble. A few seconds later, a rain of lightning struck the top of the hill.
“This is too dangerous.” Zhang Xue tried to find a way out but the four of them seemed to be stuck on top of a hilltop.
“Lucky No Chen.” Xi Taohua sighed looking at Fei Chen who was protecting the three of them and Shin Riu from the lightning strike.
Fei Chen himself was able to fend off all the lightning strikes with his sword yet he did not stop staring at the sky. Fei Chen sensed a powerful air of existence from up there and sure enough a few minutes later a flash of lightning appeared before him.
“My life again huh?” Fei Chen looked at the shadow of himself after the dust disappeared. Behind the Lightning Clone himself were the shadows of Xi Taohua, Hua Ruyun and Zhang Xue.
“See, it's the three of you.” Fei Chen smiled faintly.
Zhang Xue turned his head and looked at the shadow of himself, whereas Xi Taohua and Hua Ruyun looked unwilling when he saw Fei Chen smiling faintly.
Just like before Fei Chen did not hesitate to kill Xi Taohua's Lightning Clone, Hua Ruyun and Zhang Xue. In contrast to Xi Taohua and Hua Ruyun who had prepared themselves for this, Zhang Xue was in shock when she saw the body of the Lightning Clone herself split into two pieces.
“Patriarch Fei! You killed me!” Zhang Xue protested when he saw the Lightning Clone of himself vanish.
Fei Chen turned his head around and shook his head, “What did you say Senior Zhang? I didn't kill you at all, all I lost was your fake. What are you worried about?”
“Are you going to do that to me too?” Zhang Xue felt Fei Chen's actions were outrageous.
“I won't kill the original.” Fei Chen replied and directly moved towards the Lightning Clone himself.
The fight between Fei Chen against the Lightning Clone was inevitable. An exchange of attacks occurred, swing after swing giving rise to sparks from every exchange of sword slashes that the two were engaged in.
The movements of the two could not be followed by the eyes of Xi Taohua, Hua Ruyun and Zhang Xue who saw clearly the fight. It appeared that the movement of the Lightning Clone was accelerating after making an exchange of attacks with Fei Chen.
The aura that came out from the body of the Lightning Clone felt increasingly deadly as its movements grew faster. Each of his slashes took out several lightning sword moves that formed a lightning tiger or lightning dragon.
Fei Chen himself greeted him with the same attack making the fight even fiercer. On one occasion Fei Chen got a slash right on his body, but the Lightning Clone sword slash was not enough to injure him.
Fei Chen accelerated the tempo of his movements and dodged the two slashes that came from both directions. Then with a swing of his sword that created that curved slash Fei Chen aimed for the neck of the Lightning Clone.
As his slash was about to reach the neck of the Lightning Clone it appeared that a flash of purple-colored lightning had struck the ground ten times. The Lightning Clone managed to dodge Fei Chen's attack and immediately counterattacked quickly.
Just then also the Lightning Clone released an even greater energy than before and moved even faster attacking Fei Chen. His slashing swing getting faster and more agile put Fei Chen in a defensive position.
“Yang is right!” Fei Chen smiled widely then took out his Qi and condensed the Qi on the blade of the Hell King Sword.
The thunderous roar echoed and Fei Chen quickly welcomed every attack of the Lightning Clone. In just a second the situation reversed and now Fei Chen was dominating the attack.
‘Your movement is fast but I can see it clearly!’ Fei Chen bathed and dodged every slash of the Lightning Clone's sharp sword.
Then with great sword energy Fei Chen unleashed a single deadly slash, “Dragon Lightning Roared through the Sky!”
The Lightning Clone also unleashed the exact same attack as Fei Chen. As the two dragon mouths collided a huge explosion was created and made Fei Chen jump in front of Xi Taohua, Hua Ruyun and Zhang Xue who were trying to wake Shin Riu up.
“Chen what is this not excessive? You could've thrown our bodies.” Xi Taohua saw clearly how every attack Fei Chen unleashed was devastating.
Hua Ruyun sighed commenting on Fei Chen's fight just now, “It's been the extent to which you progressed Chen. Your achievement is incredible.”
“So very dangerous Patriarch Fei. You are awesome.” Zhang Xue did not stop being made to giggle in admiration when he saw Fei Chen's fight.
Fei Chen flicked his sword and looked at the Clone of Lightning that had not disappeared yet and instead the Lightning Clone ran at high speed towards him while swinging its sword.
“It's over.” Fei Chen sheathed his sword and right then and there the body of the Lightning Clone was cut into several small pieces.
Zhang Xue who saw this gulped and bathed, ‘Even he killed himself in a very terrible way.’
After the Lightning Clone disappeared, Shin Riu woke up. Shin Riu was surprised to find himself on top of a hill.
“What happened to me?” Shin Riu looked at Zhang Xue.
And Zhang Xue explained what had befallen them. Shin Riu sighed as she recalled what happened and the woman was shocked when she saw Fei Chen was also here to save her.
“Why did you just wake up? If it wasn't for the Chen of Mercy, I don't know what happened to the five of us..” Hua Ruyun sighed after seeing Shin Riu's reaction.
“Chen, next was Shinhwa-” Xi Taohua was about to tell Fei Chen that there was still Bai Shinhwa they had to save, but the woman was startled by the sky on the border there being split.
Fei Chen himself frowned as he felt a huge aura and was like an explosion. After a few seconds, all of their eyesight turned dark.
And the hills they were on were shattered whereas the sky looked like it was collapsing and crumbling. Fei Chen looked down and felt that the five of them were about to fall.
“Fengxue get out!” Fei Chen took out the Ice Phoenix and had the Ice Phoenix rescue the four fallen women.
While Fei Chen had never expected that the Demon Goddess Ruins in the deepest part was a labyrinth full of illusions. At this moment he felt himself falling into the depths of the abyss.
Fei Chen created a small flame as light then sat on Fengxue's back and chatted with Xi Taohua about what had just happened.
The darkness that the five of them felt slowly began to dissipate and within minutes the five of them were in a palace.
“Hah?” Fei Chen had already tried to break this illusion yet he felt stupid for not being able to break it.
Immediately Fei Chen descended from Fengxue's back and released the aura of his body. At that moment he realized that only certain people were allowed to enter the fifth floor of the deepest part of the Demon Goddess Ruins.
Within the fifth floor of the deepest part of the Demon Goddess Ruins, Fei Chen sensed the air of Bai Shinhwa and the air of other existences.
‘It looks like this existence belongs to Grandpa Liang's son.’ Fei Chen smiled faintly and invited Xi Taohua, Hua Ruyun, Zhang Xue and Shin Riu to explore the Palace.
“Fengxue, you come back.” Fei Chen ordered Fengxue to return and soon the Ice Phoenix entered his shadow.
