CHAPTER 22 ~ Don't Pain ~

Evan comes to visit Athena, the girl is embarrassed by her appearance. But, Evan actually flattered Athena who remained beautiful despite being sick and not dressed at all. To show his attention Evan even kissed the girl's lips.

Again Athena felt bad for Axel who was also in the room. But it had been a commitment for Axel to free Athena, the ghostly male quickly disappeared. As Athena looked towards Axel, the man was no longer there.

"Why baby?" evan asked who was astonished to see Athena's attitude.

"It's okay" said Athena, looking down.

"I didn't see you in class, so I asked your friends. They say you didn't go to school because you were sick. Therefore, I came to visit" he told Athena.

"So what's the same mom? why are you telling me to come to this room?" ask Athena.

"I told you at first, friend, then your mama told me that I was paying attention to you. Mama you asked me if I was your girlfriend, I told her the plan, and then I sent her to this room to visit you. What are you sick with, baby?" evan asked as he pressed his palm against Athena's forehead.

"I don't have a fever, I just have a stomachache" Athena said.

"Oh yeah, why do you have stomach pain?" ask Evan.

"Because of eating too much sambal" Athena told.

"Aren't you strong enough to eat chili?" evan asked with a laugh.

"It is not strong to eat but not strong stomach" denied Athena.

"From now on keep the food that goes into your stomach, do not carelessly eat again if not strong" said Evan advising.

"Thank you for coming to see me" said Athena.

"I'm glad you're okay, I thought you were angry because I came here without permission. Ye know? anyone who sees your smile will immediately want to kiss you. Because your smile is so sweet" said Evan again.

Athena simply bowed with a smile at the flutter of Evan. The man grabbed Athena's hand and kissed her palm. Athena looked at the face of Evan who was engrossed in enjoying the scent of the girl's hand.

"I can't wait for the farewell party. I really wanted to be your partner at the party. I really want people to see me coming with you. Therefore take care of your health not to get sick again, baby" said Evan advising Athena.

The girl nodded, right what Axel said. When the ghost is not beside her, the feeling of Athena feels free to receive the sweet treatment Evan. But even so Athena still felt that something was missing in her heart.

"Can I kiss you now?" ask Evan for permission.

"But didn't it..., what if my mom came anyway?" she asked Athena while looking at the open door.

"So it wasn't a kiss but a kiss, and anyway we just did that. We're not going to do anything that's out of bounds and that's why we can't close that door, right?" ask Evan.

Athena nodded, despite the hesitation. Nullify her for agreeing not to close the door or to not go out of bounds or to accept Evan's kiss. But the man came back closer. Landed her kiss on Athena's lips. And it's true that a kiss is not just a kiss, because Evan does it very deeply as he did with Axel.

Athena closed her eyes, although it felt different but Athena just imagined the face of Axel. Athena stroked Evan's face, making the man even stronger to hug Athena. Evan further deepened his kiss, making their breath sting.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" evan asked shortly after he took off his kiss.

They were out of breath because they were so absorbed in the warm kiss earlier. Evan gives up his kiss but still stays close to Athena's face. The man made a request to Athena with their lips still touching each other.

Athena felt the movement of Evan's lips on her lips, Evan was still reluctant to keep his face away from Athena. As if getting ready to kiss her again.

"Me, me." said the hesitant Athena.

"Come on, accept me" said Evan still touching his lips on Athena's lips.

The man's breath was on Athena's face, the girl was just about to open her mouth to answer when she heard her mother's voice talking while climbing the stairs. Evan immediately rushed back to sit at the end of the bed.

Mama Athena deliberately spoke in a loud voice, mama Athena did not want to embarrass her son. Looking at Athena's open door, Athena's mother smiled.

"Mama make a snack, do you want to bring it up or want to taste it below?" ask mama Athena.

"Oh, don't bother auntie" said Evan was stale.

"In the afternoon this is usually Athena is hungry, the inn is just a snack. If asked to wait until dinner he would have been sprawled" said mama Athena.

"The Athena likes snacking but thankfully, Athena's body remains slim" said Evan.

"Yes, because he likes a savory snack, does not like a sweet-sweet maybe that's why Athena's body is not excess fat" said mama Athena.

"At least for what else Athena eats sweet, Athena is already very sweet Aunt" said Evan laughing.

Athena just bowed to the conversation of her mother and Evan. Sounds very familiar, before allowed to go up here, of course Evan has been interrogated first by his mother. There is a feeling of pleasure because the man he likes so far gets a good response from his parents.

However, there was a feeling of sadness after knowing Axel, Athena's heart became double. Athena gets Evan's attention anyway, all because of Axel. The help and attention of the ghost actually made Athena's heart turn towards him.

However, Axel knew himself, because it always gave support to Athena to continue her love. Axel just wants to be the one who is in Athena's heart but has no right to have it let alone forbid her to have real love.

"Come, we'll go downstairs" asked Athena's mother.

Evan immediately extended his hand, inviting Athena. The girl greeted the helping hand with a knotty smile. They moved down the stairs until they reached the back porch. There they can relax while enjoying food made by mama Athena with views of flower gardens and trees that produce dense fruit.

"It's my dream when you want to buy a house, have a back garden with many fruit trees. If the mango season, we pick mangoes, avocado season, we eat avocado, the longan season we eat longan the most important of all the delusions. Mama wants to have a lot of grandchildren, who like to run among the trees" said mama Athena.

"Well, what a lovely fantasy Auntie, I came to mind too. But how about having a granddaughter if Aunt only had a daughter?" evan asked with a smile.

"Well, of course rely on a princess" said Athena's mother laughing.

"If so Athena must give birth to many children dong" said Evan.

Mama Athena nodded, Athena grimaced unwell.

"Ma, what the hell is still a distance away from her" said Athena was embarrassed by her mother's story.

"Look at Evan, Athena's face turned red" said Athena's mother with a laugh.

"It's okay, your mama's imagination is good and must be planned, yes Aunty" said Evan actually defended mama Athena.

"Well, if it's just a chat, I don't want to follow hallucinations" said Athena to stand from the lounge chair of the foyer.

Slowly Athena sat down and bowed, the girl did not like the conversation at all. Mama Athena felt regret in her heart seeing Athena who objected to hearing the conversation earlier. In his heart, he felt guilty for thinking that Athena really liked Evan.

"When you go back to your room, you want to rest" said Athena.

Mama Athena returns to her room after asking Evan.

"Yes, Auntie, good rest" said Evan.

After Athena's mother walked into her room, Evan immediately looked at Athena. Grasping the girl's hand, then kissing the back of her hand. Athena could only look at Evan's treatment with a sense of indecision.

I should be happy to be treated sweetly like this but why does it all feel like a burden. Isn't Evan what I wanted all along? inner Athena.

After kissing the back of the girl's hand, Evan clasped it under his chin, both elbows resting on both of his thighs. Evan looked at Athena with a smile.

"You can't behave like that to your mother, she must be sad about what you said. You'll apologize to her later, will you?" evan pinta.

Athena nodded, she herself already felt regret from earlier. Especially when her mother excused herself, Athena felt her mother was sad about her attitude.

"You're afraid that your mama is expecting too much of our relationship? because you're not completely sure how you feel about me" Evan said.

Athena immediately looked at Evan's face, to be honest the girl was shocked because Evan seemed to know what was in his heart.

"justified? what makes you not sure about me? is it because of Luna? or because I'm a famous playboy? like changing girlfriends? then what do you think I should do? so I'm not on the playboy stamp? when I no longer have a boyfriend, I survive in singles? does it have to be?" ask Evan.

"Not so, I have no right to rule you. It doesn't matter to me you're changing girlfriends. Popular guy like you of course a lot of eyeing, you live comot which girl you want but why can't you hang on to one girl only?" ask Athena.

Evan smiled hearing Athena's perception of him.

"I can comot whichever girl I want?" ask Evan.

Athena nodded.

"Did I not hear wrong? I've known you for a long time. It's been a long time pedekate with you, we've also spent days together. But, when I asked you to be my girlfriend, you haven't given me the answer, is it still easy for me to get a girl?" ask Evan.

"Have I got you?" evan whispered his lips back to Athena's.

Athena turned her head left and right, the back porch was clearly open. Anyone could see them, their mother or the housekeepers could have passed in front of them, but Evan looked indifferent. He doesn't care about his surroundings.

If anyone sees that better, if everyone thinks I'm your girlfriend, it'll be easier for me to get you, Evan said.

Athena rested on the back of the chair, the girl in Evan's confinement. Unable to go anywhere, Evan's lips were ready to devour Athena's lips. However, suddenly the crystal glass on the table fell to their surprise. Evan kissed Athena.

Athena immediately sat away, her chest pounding.

Geez, how reckless Evan is, I got scared. Is this how he treats his girlfriends first? then after breaking up, Luna still wants to accept it? am I going to be in a row of empty filler girls when I'm not with Luna? athena's heart screams.

"What's non? what broke?" ask a house assistant.

Athena showed the broken glass a little far away on the porch. Somehow the glass got there.

"Why did it get there?" ask Evan.

"Maybe accidentally nudged, sorry" said Athena.

Evan smiled and nodded, before long Evan came home. Athena ran to her room looking for Axel. Athena ran to all corners of the room calling out the man's name. However, Axel did not reply, Athena cried running to find.

To the bathroom, to the balcony or in the usual place she leans on that is the study table. Athena asks the man to whisper to her but Athena hears nothing. Athena looked at her bed.

Could Axel rest there? if he unleashed his power beyond the turn of time, his body would be weak, Axel would feel the pain, the inner Athena.

The girl walked up to the bed and laid herself down. Staring at the ceiling of the room, his tears flowed, eager to know the state of Axel but men could not be seen.

"Sorry Athena" whispered Axel.

Athena was shocked, Axel whispered. The girl smiled, but Axel was nearby. Athena remained in her position, so that Axel could keep whispering to her.

"I'm the one who should apologize, because of me, you're weak aren't you?" ask Athena.

Axel quiet.

"Is it very painful? then rest. We meet at the turn of time" said Athena.

"Alright" Axel replied in a whisper.

Athena stood up with a smile, looking at the empty bed as if she could see Axel there. The girl walked out of the room to see her mother.

"Ma, Athena can come in?" ask the girl after knocking on the door.

"Come in" replied Athena from the room.

Athena opened the door and saw her mother knitting on the bed. Athena hugged her mother from behind.

"Sorry Athena's attitude was yes ma" said Athena.

"Nothing, mama also over-talked like that in front of a new person in the know. But from your attitude earlier, you don't seem to like Evan that much?" ask mama Athena.

"Athena wasn't sure of him yet ma, she was actually the person Athena liked from long ago. But somehow, since close to her, Athena was not sure about her own feelings" said Athena.

Mama Athena hugged her child, gently stroked Athena's hair and then kissed her daughter's cheek.

"Indeed like that, son, sometimes we doubt whether what we like is the best for us, just go first, then let your heart decide later" said mama Athena.

Athena nodded then kissed her mother's cheeks and then leaned back on the wise middle-aged woman.
