CHAPTER 58 ~ Meet Axel ~

Athena was shocked, not believing what Mr said. Tom Cullen's. Axel's father explained that Axel did not come not to break with him but because he had returned to his body.

"What?" ask Athena.

"Dear, I think Daddy's words are right. He didn't come not to break up with you but he was forced to return to his body because he would come to his senses. That night Axel had regained consciousness dearly," Olivia said excitedly.

Athena was in disbelief, hearing the words of the two old men. Athena was happy to hear the good news.

"Sister Axel has regained consciousness? He's back in his body? Is he really alive?" asked Athena bertubi unconsciously also excited.

"Right sweetheart, you know how happy we were when we saw him sober up. As soon as she saw us she recognized us, she called Mommy, Daddy without hesitation, she hugged us" Olivia explained.

"Different from the time Axel used to wake up in a state of amnesia. Daddy thinks he's deliberately pretending to be amnesiac in order to disguise himself as our son, so it doesn't matter to him if he doesn't know his past with us" Tom Cullen said.

"Right baby, then come on, meet him. Axel your lover has come back to life. Come with us, "take Olivia.

Athena was so happy, her smile returned. Athena's ready to meet Axel. The man was no longer in the county hospital but had been transferred to a luxury hospital in the city.

Athena followed the Cullens' invitation. After school, Athena immediately came to the inpatient room that had been mentioned by Mrs. Olivia's. Athena came in and found Axel sitting on the hospital bed.

"Well, here she has come" said Olivia immediately welcomed the arrival of Athena.

The madam immediately hugged Athena and immediately took Athena to the hospital bed.

"Axel, look who's coming?" ask Olivia.

"Who is Mommy?" axel asked with a smile.

Athena was surprised, and so was Mr. Tom Cullen and Mrs. Olivia's.

"You don't know him, honey? She's Athena?" olivia.

"Who is this Athena? Is he my foster brother?" ask Axel.

"You really don't remember Athena? Don't even remember him a little?" ask Tom Cullen.

"No Daddy, I sure never knew him. If I may know where we met?" axel asked Athena.

The girl was down, unable to tell the absurd story anymore. Athena looked towards the master and mistress of Cullen. Athena felt their gaze was that of doubting Athena. It was as if Athena's nonsensical story was a lie. Evidently from Axel who apparently did not recognize him.

Athena's tears flowed, the beautiful girl immediately ran away from the room. Sobbing Athena left the hospital.

Mommy and Daddy must have thought I was lying. Already Athena, don't hope anymore. Sis Axel doesn't know you, he doesn't remember you at all let alone the times you were with him. Please forget she don't wish her Athena any more, inner Athena to herself.

The girl was determined to herself that she would never wish on her relationship with Axel again. In the meantime, Mrs. Olivia asked her son.

"You really don't recognize her, honey, have you forgotten?" ask Olivia wonder.

"No, Mom, I can't forget knowing a girl that pretty. Did I have amnesia? It doesn't feel like Mommy, I still remember everything. My childhood, school, date of birth, I remember everything Mommy. But I don't remember the girl" Axel explained.

"It turns out that your memory of being a ghost has been erased when you wake up" said Tom Cullen.

"Remember the ghost, what does Daddy mean?" ask Axel curious.

"Athena told me that she and your soul are dating. When you're in a coma" explains Tom Cullen.

"What's? It's crazy, it doesn't make sense" Axel said with a laugh.

"It doesn't make sense, but we believe in Athens. He's the one who finally brought us together" explained Tom Cullen again.

"Finding us? Mean Daddy?" ask Axel.

"You disappeared, son, you've been in a coma for over four years without Mommy and Daddy knowing. And during that time there's another Axel that takes your place. Athena was the one who exposed all those lies. Thanks to your soul relationship with her as long as you're in a coma" explains Olivia.

Axel was stunned, not believing that he had been in a coma for years.

"It feels like just yesterday, I was in high school, right Mommy?" ask Axel.

"No longer son, how could a person who has been in a coma for more than four years still attend school there? Your classmates are all students" explains Tom Cullen.

"And during that time there's a place that I've been at school and at home?" axel asked again to convince his heart.

Mrs. Olivia and Mr. Tom Cullen nodded simultaneously.

"At first we hesitated and did not believe, but after seeing a mole on your chest, Mommy was sure that you were our real son. While the one who lived with us all this time was a fake Axel. She doesn't have a mole that Mommy remembers you have, very much" explains Olivia.

This mole, how did that girl know this mole on my chest? Were we that close, until he saw me without a shirt? ask Axel in your heart.

Many thoughts and questions came to Axel's heart, especially about Athena.

But I don't know him anymore, why force myself to know him? Daddy said I was dating him? But what am I supposed to do? I felt like I didn't know him much less feel love for him, inner Axel.

Looking at the pensive Axel, Mr. Tom asks his son not to push himself too hard to remember Athena.

"It's okay Daddy, if I'm really dating him, I have to finish my relationship with him anyway. I can't hang his feelings. I have to decide" Axel said.

"You're gonna cut off your relationship with him? Poor him, he loves you so much. Because of his love, he was trying to find you. Can't you start loving her?" ask Olivia.

"Where can it be like that Mommy, how can dating without any love. I don't remember him at all, let alone love him. If it is not completed it will be even more sorry," explained Axel.

"But Mommy loves him and already considers him a potential daughter-in-law of Mommy," said Olivia sad to hear Axel's decision.

"Why could that be? How did Mommy know that my soul was dating her and considered her a future daughter-in-law?" ask Axel astonished.

"Not with your soul, she was originally dating that fake Axel. As far as we know he is our future son-in-law. We were even familiar with his parents. We just found out that she's also dating your soul" explains Olivia.

"So he's that kind of person? Dating anyone? With human Axel but fake and with Axel in spirit form?" axel asked with a laugh.

"But that's why he finally learned this truth. He promised your spirit would seek your origin because when you become a ghost you don't remember who you are" explains Olivia.

"So when I was a ghost, I don't remember you guys. But instead fall in love and date her? While when I woke up, I remembered you guys but didn't remember him anymore?" ask Axel and laugh.

"It can be a movie" the man continued laughing.

"You can laugh because you don't feel her sadness. Just imagine, the person who loves him suddenly now forgets him and does not love him anymore. Just think about it, don't just laugh" Olivia said in an upset tone.

"Mommy ...," said Axel.

The man turned to his Daddy. The handsome-looking master immediately shrugged both of his shoulders. Axel no longer dared to continue laughing at his mother who was upset to hear his attitude that did not sympathize with Athena's grief.

Axel did physical treatment in the form of movements and exercises guided by a therapist who helped Axel to overcome his pain. After finishing Axel returned to his inpatient room.

Mrs. Olivia and Mr. Tom Cullen was happy to see Axel's developing ability to move his limbs. The man began to move his legs. After years of just lying down Axel needs exercise to regain his muscles and train to maintain his body balance.

Meanwhile Athens is back to what it used to be, just like when Ms. Olivia kicked him out, like when Athena thought Axel didn't come because he wanted to dump her and now it's all come true. Axel really dumped him. The man doesn't even recognize her anymore.

Athena lived her days with grief. When meeting her parents Athena will pretend to be carefree but when alone or at school, Athena returns to being a sad and aloof girl.

Athena only wanted to tell Mia who was very familiar and believed in her story. Every time she poured out her heart, Athena would cry bitterly in her arms.

"What are you going to do now Athena? Are you going to fight for your love?" ask Mia.

"He doesn't remember me one bit, it's gonna be hard to get him back to love me. What should I do Mia, I can't forget. I did everything for him but now I have to forget it. What should I do, if I can't forget Mia?" ask Athena.

"Your only choice is Athena, fight for her love or forget her" Mia said.

Athena looked at Mia's face, not a joking look on her best friend's face. Mia was serious about saying that.

"I can't forget it,"

"Then fight for her," Mia replied directly.

"What if he rejects me?" ask Athena.

"At least you have tried and know the results, whether successful or failed. But if you don't try, forever can't forget it and a lifetime will wonder. What if you were trying to get her love? Maybe you will get her love. That question will bother you for the rest of your life and you will never be able to forget it" Mia said.

Athena looked straight into Mia's eyes, the girl nodded asking Athena to try. Athena was finally willing to try to get back close to Axel at least wanting to ask for reassurance from the man.

Athena walked down the hospital hallway. From a nurse, the girl knew Axel was in a room to train his walking ability.

Athena stayed where she was when she saw Axel who was trying to walk down the iron buffer. Walking forward and turning back painstakingly trained his leg strength.

Athena stood not far from the tools to train the strength of the limbs. Accidentally Axel saw Athena, the man smiled and ended his training. Axel is back in a wheelchair. A nurse wanted to help push him but the man subtly refused. Axel pushed his wheelchair closer to Athena.

"You're coming?" ask Axel.

Athena nodded.

"I want to see you but I haven't been able to because of my condition that hasn't recovered like it used to be" Axel said.

Axel runs his wheelchair and Athena follows. Axel walked into a park at the hospital. The man stopped his wheelchair next to a park bench.

"Sit down! I want to talk to you" Axel said with a smile.

Athena followed Axel's words, the girl sitting on a park bench beside Axel's chair.

"I heard a strange story from my parents, whether I heard the wrong thing or my parents told the wrong story. For that I want to hear directly from you, how we first met," said Axel.

Athena glanced at the man before her. Axel now feels foreign to him. Even stranger than Axel's false attitude. This Axel looks stiffer, quieter and calmer.

Athena began to tell him everything they had experienced together. Anything he can remember, including Axel who promised to choose to remain a ghost as long as he can always be with Athena.

"I said that?" axel asked unsure.

Athena nodded, the girl also told how Axel was willing to be almost destroyed for using his strength beyond his ability to help Athena.

"I'm willing to die for you?" reset Axel.

Athena nodded again and Athena told her that Axel loved her so much that he would be her mistress if Athena married another man later.

"I love you? In that way?" ask Axel.

Athena nodded again, the girl told me everything slowly from beginning to end.

"I loved you when I was a ghost but when I woke up I really couldn't remember you as hard as I tried, I still couldn't remember you. Maybe it's because I've loved another girl Athena" Axel said slowly.

Athena lowered.

"Is Hani?" ask the girl with her voice.

Axel turned his head towards Athena, seeing a point of tears falling on his lap. Axel was overwhelmed but could do nothing. Like it or not, Athena must know the truth. Inevitably Athena had to accept the real situation.

"Yes, when you tell me about him I want to tell you straight away. She is the girl I love" Axel said in a regretful tone.

"But Hani loves Hardy, why does Axel love her?" ask Athena.

"Well, I can't explain everything to you. But I obviously love Hani. I'm pretty sure that the girl I love is Hani. I can't force myself to love you. Especially with that absurd story," explained Axel who like to force Athena to stop forcing her to love him

Athena was silent for a long time when she heard Axel's words heard sniffling at her. Her tears kept dripping down her lap. His chest felt a throbbing pain.

"Thank you, Axel, thank you for all your help. Thank you for filling my days. Thank you for ever loving me. Thank you for being honest about your feelings. Thank you .. Thank you and I'm sorry for bothering you. From today I will not appear in front of you again. May Brother recover soon and may Brother be happy with the girl that Brother loves. I'm going home sister" said Athena who immediately left Axel who was pensive looking at the girl who ran while crying.

I've tried Mia, but her heart stays the same. She only loved Hani even though I had expressed my feelings for her. He rejected me, rejected our memories, refused to try to get to know me. What should I do now, Mia? I have tried to fight for her and I have gotten her rejection but I still can't forget her, the inner Athena.

The girl continued to run until she was not seen again by Axel.

I'm sorry Athena, I have to be honest with you that I only love Hani, all for your own good. I won't be able to pretend until I finally give you false hope, inner Axel.

Athena did not appear at the hospital anymore. Sometimes Mr. Tom or Ms. Olivia asks him to come visit Axel. The girl refused subtly.

Mama Athena can only resignedly see the fate of her daughter who again failed to establish a relationship with her loved ones.

"I told Mom and she understood that I only love Hani" Axel said.

So long to get treatment in the hospital, Axel finally recovered. The man was also allowed to go home. Axel went into his room, then collapsed on the bed and stared at the ceiling of his room. Every day, Mrs. Olivia asks him to get back to Athens. Every time Axel resolutely refused.

I have to find Hardy, I have to find him. What if he told me that we change places often? But somehow he must get his punishment, because he has tried to kill me, inner Axel.

Axel decides to search for Hardy through the people who once knew him. But time has passed for so long. There were no more people he could meet to ask. Until finally Axel remembered something, a tourist location where they first met.
