Grandfather Robert's Will

Grandfather Robert's Will
Chapter 31

As Jenson bends down to dig, Rachel jumps over a puddle of water until it hits Jenson's face. “Oh, sorry I accidentally, I also did not know that this water will hit your face.” He smiled and closed his eyes. “I think my shot missed.”

Jenson lets it out even though she's a little upset by Rachel's behavior. He and Rachel dug with more effort, until within fifteen minutes, they managed to dig a hole.

“Well, finally done too.” Slightly gasping, Rachel leaned against her shovel. “Satisfaction of a job completed performed very well.”

“We just carry it home, and immediately decorate it and. Shit, we need something to wrap the roots and the soil. In the warehouse there is gunny.”

They looked at me for a moment.

“Alright,” said Jenson after a while. “Let me take the sack."

Satisfied, Rachel turned to observe a bird that was there when a water hit the back of her head. “Sorry, I was completely by accident, I had no intention of hitting you.” Jenson smiled kindly. “I think my shot must have missed.” He whistled and smiled with satisfaction as he walked into the barn.

Rachel waited until Jenson disappeared from view, then smiled cunningly, she knelt down to prepare all her strategies, so that the puddle water was exposed to Jenson's face again. When Jenson returned, he reckoned, he already had an armory, near which there were a lot of puddles. Jenson won't have a chance. Rachel took her time leisurely, looking around and imagining that the puddle had hit Jenson's smooth face and she thought that the water was an amazing weapon for her. But while he was engrossed, he almost fell on his stomach when he heard the voices behind him.

He was standing near a puddle to jump, but when Rachel turned her back, no one was there. Rachel squinted her eyes, she waited. Didn't he just see the movement behind the trees? The movement was indeed like Jenson who was tiptoeing around and trying to surprise him. He saw the birds flying high as if surprised, and he heard the sound of water pouring from the branches of trees that fell on him and puddles on the ground.

“Alright, Jenson, hurry out don't be a coward.” He was standing next to a puddle of water, preparing to attack.

“Coward, you mean what Rachel?” Jenson asked in such a way that this time, as Rachel went back around, the woman slipped right on her butt. Jenson grinned at him and dropped the burlap cloth rag on his lap.

“But didn't you..“ His speech stopped while looking back again. How could Jenson be here if he was there? “Do you rotate?,” asks Rachel very surprised.

“No, but seeing you next to the puddle is like planning to start playing wars?”

“This is just a defense system,” Rachel started, then looked back. “So I heard you. I could have sworn that there was someone behind those trees, I thought that person was you Jenson.”

“I wasn't there, I went straight to the warehouse and came back.” Jenson looked behind Rachel. “You saw something back there?”

“Jenson, if you play a trick..”.

“No, I'm actually new here.” He interrupted Rachel and grabbed his wife's hand until he stood up. “No hoax. Let's see if there's anyone behind the tree.”

Rachel moved a shoulder but did not pull her hand from Jenson's hand as they went further through the trees. “Maybe I was a little overdone or it was just my delusion.”

“Or expect me to sneak around?”

“It too. Maybe it was just a rabbit.”

“So, we still have guests. I was starting to think they'd given up retreat.” Rachel kept her tone flat, but she still felt the uneasiness that anyone was stalking. “Maybe it's time we talk to Mrs. Zephaniah, Jenson, we should talk about this immediately, I don't like this atmosphere.”

“Maybe, but in the meantime..” The sound of the engine cutting Jenson spoke. He ran with Rachel. After running for five minutes, they arrived, sweating and stinging, finding nothing more than a trace of logs. The tire tracks had been clearly visible on the wet ground and the tire tracks looked quite large. “A Jeep, I guess.” Swearing, Jenson buried his hand in his pocket. If he ran faster, he might be able to catch someone or at least catch someone's shadow.

Rachel exhaled an irritated breath. Racing after someone becomes one of the reasons, losing and being fooled becomes another reason. “Whatever that person is, he is just a waste of time.”

“I don't like to be spied on.” Jenson wants to beat up the guy who's been spying on him. With a feeling of annoyance, he looked at the trail that led back to the main road. “I won't play cat and mouse for the next four months.”

“What will we do?”

Jenson's smile expanded as he observed the traces left behind. “We will spread the story about this incident to Zephaniah, that we have been bullied by intruders. According to the amount of treasure in the premise, we decided to take out one of the old weapons of caliber .30-.30 belonging to Robert.”

“Jenson! They may have messed up, but they're still our family.” Gamang, Rachel looked at Jenson. “You won't really want to shoot someone.”

“I'd rather shoot a family than a stranger,” he said.

“I don't like guns, I don't want any bloodshed in our family just because of grandfather's inheritance problem.”

“Then do you have a better idea?”

“We buy dogs only. A big dog who is cruel.”

“Good, then we can let him roam around and immerse his teeth on one of our beloved brothers. They will like it more compared to bullet.”

“The dog need not be that cruel.”

“Then the poodle dog is so adorable?”

“Jenson...”.

“Alright, we call Mrs. Zephaniah just go."

"To take his advice?” sue Rachel.

“Sure.. if I like it.”

Rachel started to refuse, then laughed. It was as silly as one of the storyline script by Jenson. “That sounds reasonable,” broke it, then grabbed Jenson's arm. “Let's put the tree inside first.”
