Grandfather Robert's Will

Grandfather Robert's Will
Chapter 47's

“Someone?” Rachel moved the phone and listened carefully. From her trembling voice, Rachel did not catch a threat of jitters. Rachel was convinced that it was a male voice. “If you try to scare me..”.

“I didn't scare you, I tried to warn you. When I found out..” the voice now sounded slow and distant. “You shouldn't have sent that champagne, because I can't imagine what happened next."

Suddenly Rachel felt her stomach twisting. Outside the kitchen window, it was dark, very dark. He was at home with two elderly servants who were sick. “Please tell me who you are, and help me stop what is going on.”

“I've risked everything by warning you. You don't get it. Get out, get out of the house immediately.”

Is this a way? rachel said to herself. Ways to get him out of the house. Rachel straightened her shoulders, but her gaze shifted from one empty window to another empty window. “I won't go anywhere. If you want to help, tell me who to fear.”

“Come out,” reset that voice before the conversation breaks.

Rachel was glued while grasping the silent handle of the phone. The oil in his frying pan began to churn, competing with radio noise. After watching the window and listening, Rachel put the phone in its place. It's a trick, he said inwardly. It's just a trick to get him out of the house in the hope he becomes scared enough to stay out. He won't be kicked out just like that by the shaking sound on the phone.

Anyway, Jenson called the police. They knew he was alone at home. If you catch any signs of trouble, you just need to pick up the phone.

His hands were not really steady, but he went back to cooking with a huff. Putting starchy chicken into the frying pan, checking the cooked potatoes, and deciding that enjoying a small glass of wine while working is a good idea. He was pouring it as Bruno ran into the kitchen and around his feet.

“Bruno.” Rachel leaned over and embraced the dog. The animal felt warm and dense. “I'm so glad you're here, you'll accompany me as long as Jenson isn't around,”. But for a moment, he let himself very much hope that Jenson would be present.

Bruno licked his face, skipped around recklessly towards the table, then drove to the door. Hitting that door, he started barking.

“Now?” ask Rachel “Then you can't wait until tomorrow morning.” Bruno darted back to Rachel, circled around her, then back to the door. When she had gone that route three times, Rachel became pity. The phone was nothing more than a hoax, a reckless hoax. After all, his inner being while unlocking, it would be fine for him to open the door and look around at the situation outside the house.

As soon as he opened it, Bruno immediately jumped out. The dog started sniffing busily while Rachel stood shivering in the doorway and forcing her eyes through the darkness. Music and the aroma of cooking blended behind him.

Just a shadow, it seemed like it separated slowly from a tree and made its own shape. Human figure. Before Rachel could react, Bruno started barking and darting across the puddle.

“Do not, Bruno! Come back.” Without giving herself a chance to think, Rachel grabbed the dark green jacket hung beside the door and then put it on. Just in case, he grabbed a pot with an iron handle before darting to chase the dog. “Bruno!”

The dog had reached the end of the forest and was already excited. While gathering confidence, Rachel continued her pursuit. Anyone who had scouted the house had already fled when they saw the image of the sloppy and fat puppy. Rachel finds herself vulnerable to danger, but she refuses to be frightened by a coward. Without as much enthusiasm as Bruno, Rachel ran quickly towards the forest. Out of breath and indestructible feeling, he stopped long enough to look around and listen. For a moment there was nothing, and then on the left, he heard salutations and noise.

“Pass him, Bruno!” he shouted, and led to the origin of the chaos. Feeling excited by the chase, Rachel gave the dog support, then changed direction when she heard Bruno barking back. While running, raindrops fell and tree branches, making cold and wet crawls the back of his neck. The barking grew wild. And in her hurry, Rachel fell over a fallen tree. He spat out rain while swearing, struggling to get back on his feet. Bruno jumped out of the forest and made her fall again.

“Not me.” Lying on her back, Rachel pushed the dog. “Damn you, Bruno, if you don't..” The speech is interrupted when the dog's body becomes tense and begins to growl. Lying on the road, Rachel looked up and caught a moving shadow figure among the trees. He forgot that he was too proud to be afraid of a coward.

Although his hands were numb from the cold, he held the handle of the pot. He got up, walked slowly to the nearest tree. Struggling to keep his breathing silent, he braced himself to attack while defending himself. Relatives or strangers, he will take care of himself. But his knees were shaking. Bruno became tense and leaned himself forward. As soon as Bruno did so, Rachel raised her pancake up high and prepared to swing it.

“What's going on?”

“Jenson!” The pot landed on the road as he followed Bruno's lead and splashed into Jenson's arms. Stifled by relief, Jenson showered with kisses all over the man's face. “Oh, Jenson. I'm so glad it turned out you.”

“Yeah. You did look happy when you swung that pot. Running out of hair spray?”

“It's easy to tile.” Suddenly Rachel retreated and glared at her cousin. “To you, Jenson, you scared me half to death. You should be on your way to Malang, instead of wandering in the forest like that.”

“And you should have locked yourself inside the house.”

“That's so if you hadn't wandered in the woods. Why?”
