Grandfather Robert's Will

Grandfather Robert's Will
Chapter 07's

There is work that Rachel must finish in the city of Malang, before she will finally be confined to Kekek Robert's residence. Once all his business in Malang is complete, he prepares to return to Jakarta to complete his mission.

The journey from Malang to Jakarta was very pleasant, because he passed through a variety of scenery that was so amazing and he enjoyed it so much.

The trip gave him time to calm his mind and relax. But he lived it his own way, his own pace, and his own comfort. He has a habit of doing everything himself, but this time Grandpa Robert has trapped him in his residence with Jenson, a very annoying man.

The man knew Rachel had to fulfill the terms of the will, not for Grandpa's money. Robert's grandfather was too shrewd to think that Rachel could be led along such a ridiculous path for money. But that's the house Grandpa Robert used to ensnare him.

Now Rachel has to leave some of her activities for six months. Though almost every day Rachel can go back and forth out of town to visit boutiques in various regions that work with her. In addition to work, he enjoyed exploring places he had never visited, and so long weekend, he chose to accompany Grandpa Robert at his residence.

Rachel was raised that way. Enjoy and benefit as much as possible from any environment he is in. His parents were wealthy nomads, they travel around from one region to another or from one country to another on first-class or business-class airfare instead of a horse-drawn carriage, so it's only natural that Grandpa Robert would bequeath prayers to his parents.

Before she was fifteen, Rachel had already gone to over thirty countries. He had eaten sushi in Tokyo, explored the pillars of Cornwall, bargained at a market in Turkey. Dozens of tutors alternated traveling with them, so according to his calculations, he only spent two years in the classroom environment before starting college.

His exotic and adventurous childhood gave him an appetite for all sorts of things like people, food, style. And oddly enough, his experience of coming into contact with diverse cultures and values has made him always long for home and a sense of belonging, especially Grandpa Robert's house.

Although her parents loved to travel to many countries, recording everything with pens and movies, Rachel missed something important. Where's his house? Last year in Mexico, this year in Kalimantan, and next year in Athens. Her parents made themselves famous by writing books and articles about unusual things, but Rachel wanted a root. He decided that he should look for her alone.

He chose to live and buy an apartment in Jakarta, although his job still requires him to jump from one city to another. Some of that activity stopped because, Grandpa Robert.

Now, Grandfather and his home had become something important to him, he agreed to stay six months with a man he could barely tolerate so he could inherit a property he neither wanted nor needed.

But still Rachel would feel better if she could be sure of Jenson. Was it the temptation of billions of money, or the affection for an old man who would tie him up in his residence? He knew that Jenson's Logan’s Run series was entering its fourth year of success, and the man had another profitable venture in the field of television. But money itself is a temptation. After all, even though Uncle Joseph already had more than he could spend, still the man took steps to reject the endorsement of the will. Panam Yosef will appeal to the court to obtain the inheritance.

But that didn't worry Rachel. Robert's grandfather always hired the best people in his field. If Zephaniah had issued a will, he must have issued a will whose defense is strict and cannot be contested. What worries Rachel is Jenson Dirgantara.

Because of the trap that ensnared him, he found himself thinking too much about Jenson lately. Allies or enemies, he's not too sure. Whatever the circumstances, he still had to marry and live with her.

When Rachel arrived, she was very tired from the trip as well as the headaches that afflicted her. His equipment and supplies had been delivered before he left for malang, so today he only carries one small suitcase.

Rachel pushed the suitcase, then looked at Robert's grandfather's house.

Robert's grandfather built it when he was forty, so the house is over and a half century old. The house was heading in all directions, as if it had never been able to decide where it wanted to start and where it wanted to finish. In fact, Rachel's mind, Robert never wanted to finish it. Projects, games, and puzzles, are always more interesting to him than if the last piece is already in place.

Without its wings, the house would probably have been a large, gloomy, desolate late nineteenth-century-style mansion. With the wing part, the place becomes full of walls and corners, height and width. There was no symmetry, but for Rachel the place was as solid as the rock on which it was built.

Some of the windows are long, some wide, some are ornamented, and others are plain. Grandpa Robert decided to choose something then changed his mind again constantly.

The stones were obtained by Grandpa Robert from one of his hunts, the wood from one of his timber sales. When he decided to build a house, he created his own construction company. Robert Inconporated is one of the five largest companies in the city.

Suddenly Rachel gasps when she realizes that she owns half of Robert's stake in the company as well as the others. He also has parts in the processing of baby oil, rocket engines, and cake dough. Rachel lifted her suitcase and gritted her teeth. What made him get caught up in this?
