Chapter 30 Shame

Abhiyasa looked back. He just remembered that he was with Hani.

"Dani!" abhiyasa shouted in shock after hearing Hani's voice shouting to him accompanied by the sound of objects being hit.

His eyes widened when he did not see Hani around him. But his eyes were fixed on the group of people who were swarming something.

Immediately Abhiyasa ran towards the crowd. He sidelined one by one the people who crowded there to see what they were crowding.

"Dani!" abhiyasa exclaimed when he saw Hani already sitting on the pavement with bruises on his hands and knees.

Hani's bike hit the sidewalk and he fell down on the sidewalk. While the bike Hani ride the shape is not the same anymore. 

Quickly Abhiyasa was on Hani's side and said,

"Honey why are you? Is anyone hurt?" 

There was talk of people huddling there. At first glance Abhiyasa heard someone blame him for leaving Hani far behind.

There are also those who blame Hani for not being careful in cycling. So Hani damaged some plants on the sidewalk. While Hani's bike hit a tree on the sidewalk.

Hani just kept quiet and looked at Abhiyasa with teary eyes. Instantly Abhiyasa realized that he had made his lover's heart become sad.

"I'm sorry Honey" Abhiyasa said regretfully.

After that Abhiyasa immediately contacted a taxi to come to the location immediately. He also contacted his restaurant to come to the location to pick up his bicycle and Hani's which was deposited in the stalls around the location.

"Hurry to the location that I have sent and bring the two bikes in the shop to my house" Abhiyasa ordered by phone to the restaurant he was contacting.

Only a few minutes later the taxi that was ordered arrived. Immediately Abhiyasa carried Hani into the taxi.

Hani just kept quiet. He did not say anything even though Abhiyasa repeatedly said his apology to her.

"Honey, I'm sorry. I was too worried about Grandma. So I–"

"Sickness..," whined Hani with her teary eyes interrupted Abhiyasa's speech.

At once Abhiyasa panicked and saw all the wounds on Hani's body while saying,

"What hurts Honey?"

Hani just stared at Abhiyasa with teary eyes. In his heart he said,

I'm just pretending to be Abhi, so you don't blame yourself.

"Honey, who's sick?" ask Abhiyasa again.

Suddenly Hani smiled broadly showing a row of his teeth as he said,

"I'm just pretending to be Abhi."

Instantly Abhiyasa pinched Hani's nose and said,

"Your nak."

"I'm ashamed of everyone" Hani said, pursing his lips.

Abhiyasa chuckled at the words of his lover. He ruffled Hani's hair and said,

"I'm sorry Honey."

Hani smiled and nodded her head. Then he said,

"What about my bike Abhi?" 

"You just calm down. Later I take it to the workshop that I usually go to," Abhiyasa replied with a smile calming Hani.

Suddenly the taxi stopped. Hani looked around. It was obvious that he was confused at this moment.

"Thank you, sir" Abhiyasa said, giving money for the fare.

"Abhi, where are we?" asked Hani by showing her confused face.

"We went to my parents' house. Grandma's waiting for us."

"W-what? Abhi, I. my appearance..," said Hani nervously.

However, at once Hani's words could not continue. Now his body has been floated carried by Abhiyasa.

"Abhi, I'm ashamed. Lower me. What do your parents say?" Rengek Hani on Abhiyasa who was carrying him while walking towards the door of his house.

"Silence Honey or I'll kiss later" Abhiyasa threatened with a faint smile and continued to walk into his house.

Instantly Hani pursed his lips. He just kept quiet and obeyed Abhiyasa's orders. In his heart he said,

How'this? God, I'm really embarrassed. What will his family say? Abhi... is it true that you want to fight for me as your partner? Isn't this how your family would judge me badly?

"Assalamualaikum..," exclaimed Abhiyasa as he entered his house.

"Goddessalam…."

There was a sound of greeting from inside the house. 

Without waiting for them to come out of the house, Abhiyasa unhesitatingly walked into his house holding Hani ala bridal style.

"Abhi?! You've already dat–"

"Oh who is this? Hani?" asked Abhiyasa's mother in succession with her confused face staring at Abhiyasa and Hani in turn.

Abhiyasa lowered Hani very carefully and said,

"Meet you, this is Hani, Abhiyasa's girlfriend. Beautiful right?" 

A red hue immediately adorned Hani's face. She blushed in embarrassment hearing Abhiyasa's praise of her.

Abhiyasa's mother smiled and extended her hand to Hani, saying,

"It's so pretty that mom's future daughter-in-law."

Abhiyasa's mother's words successfully added hue on Hani's face, so Hani was speechless.

"Obviously pretty dong, his girlfriend Abhiyasa..," said Abhiyasa proudly.

Abhiyasa's mother laughed at her son's words. His hands clasped Hani's shoulders and hugged her as he said,

"Welcome to our family Hani. Do not be afraid and do not be afraid of us. Think of us as your own family."

Hani's eyes were back in tears. Abhiyasa's mother's words made him touched. He did not expect that the welcome of his lover's mother who had different beliefs with him could be as warm as his own mother.

"Thank you Ma'am. Hani is very happy," said Hani with a choked voice.

Abhiyasa's mother unravels her embrace. She gently looked at Hani's face and smiled sweetly as her hands gently rubbed Hani's hair.

Unknowingly, Hani's tears were dripping. And that leaves Abhiyasa's mother confused. 

"Why is Hani crying?" asked Abhiyasa's mother while gently rubbing the tears that dripped on Abhiyasa's cheeks.

Abhiyasa approached Hani. His outstretched hand will wipe his lover's tears, unfortunately his mother's hand first rubbed him, so that Abhiyasa's hand can only gently wipe Hani's shoulder with affection.

"Hani is happy Mom" Hani said with a trembling voice and her tears dripping down her cheeks.

Abhiyasa's mother understood the meaning of Hani's words. She smiled and hugged Hani back to calm her down.

"Here you go, don't cry anymore" Abhiyasa's mother said as she gently rubbed Hani's back.

"From this moment on, when was it my turn?" asked Abhiyasa who sounded envious of his mother.

After that Abhiyasa's mother unraveled her embrace and looked at Hani's face with a smile that was able to calm Hani's heart.

Suddenly Abhiyasa's mother remembered something. He looked at Hani from top to bottom. Then he said,

"Then why was Hani carried with you Abhi?"
