Chapter 48 Decision

"Doctors know Hani, my son?" ask Papa Hani who was shocked to hear the question from the doctor.

The doctor smiled and said,

"I happen to be a close friend of Abhiyasa, Hani's girlfriend."

"Oh.so his friend Abhiyasa. I thought the doctor was Hani's friend" said Mama Hani with a smile.

"Please check the doc," said papa Hani as if reminding the purpose of the doctor to the house.

"So sir, I checked first" said the doctor who turned out to be Aulia.

He took a stethoscope from inside his bag and examined Hani.

"Hani just fainted, sir. Maybe he's tired and hasn't eaten. I prescribed the vitamins and let Hani rest and give him nutritious food" Aulia said, putting her stethoscope back in her bag.

Then he wrote down the recipe and gave it to Mama Hani, saying,

"This is the recipe."

"Thank you doc" said Mama Hani as she received the recipe paper from Aulia.

Aulia smiled in response to Mama Hani's thanks to her. Then his eyes rolled through the room. And he said, too,

"Where is Abhiyasa, sir, Mom? Is he not here?" 

Mama and Papa Hani turn to each other as if asking each other to answer the question Aulia asked them.

"It just so happened that Hani was here alone. Maybe Abhiyasa is at work," replied papa Hani with his wise speech.

"Oh. I think Abhiyasa is in the mosque around here. Because I know if he is very devout worship," said Aulia smiling at both parents Hani.

Mom and Dad looked at each other. They stared at each other with incredulous looks. 

Looking at the expressions of both Hani's parents, Aulia felt that what she planned had worked. He was immediately saying goodbye.

"I say goodbye first Sir, Mom," said Aulia, carrying her bag.

"I take the dock," said Mama Hani as she moved from her seat.

Aulia walked hand in hand with Mama Hani until she reached the terrace of the house. After that Mama Hani returned to Hani's room.

She looked at her husband who was sitting next to Hani while looking at her daughter with a look full of sadness.

"Pa, is this all because of Abhiyasa?" ask Mama Hani who is near her husband.

Papa Hani sighed. He felt himself in a dilemma right now. Now he is faced with two things that are very important to him. Confidence and his daughter.

Feeling like thinking and needing a place to be alone, Papa Hani moved from his seat intending to think elsewhere.

"Mmm... Abhi... Where are you? Abhi...Have you gone home? Abhi. Abhi…."

There was a sound of delirium from Hani who was still closing his eyes.

Mama Hani rushed to sit beside Hani to try to resuscitate her. He gently rubbed the sweat on his daughter's temple and said,

"Hani. Hani. This is Mama and Papa. Quickly open your eyes."

Hani, who heard the voice of her mother, opened her eyes slowly. Hani looked at her mom and dad with teary eyes as she said,

"Ma. Pa.. Please bless Hani's wish."

"Is this all because of Abhiyasa?" ask Papa Hani without looking at him.

Instantly Hani is surprised to hear the question asked by his father. He did not think that his father knew the beliefs espoused by Abhiyasa.

"No Pa. That's not true. Suddenly Hani's heart was moved and wanted to know more about the religion. When Hani finds out and learns it, Hani's heart feels comfortable and wants to learn it even further" replied Hani with a trembling voice and her increasingly teary eyes.

Mama Hani held Hani's hand and said,

"Did you learn all that from Abhiyasa?"

Hani sighed. Her tears were dripping along with her breath. Then he said,

"No Ma. Even Abhiyasa did not know at all if Hani studied this religion. He never told Hani to change Hani's beliefs. He respects the religion Hani professes as he respects Hani."

"Then, where is he now? Why would he let you go out all these nights alone?" ask Papa Hani firmly.

"Abhi's on duty outside Pa town. It was already a few days ago her departure," Hani replied as she wiped the tears dripping down her cheeks.

"Think carefully and do not let there be regrets later," said papa Hani while turning her body walking out of the room.

"Hani beg Pa. allow Hani. Hani is sure there will be no regrets until anytime," said Hani in between sobs.

However, Papa Hani still continued his path, as if he had heard nothing.

Now Hani's eyes turned to his mother who was still with him. Hani's hand held tightly to her mother's two hands and looked at her with a hopeful look while saying,

"Hani beg Ma. Please Hani. Hani wants to feel the calmness in Hani's heart."

The sobbing and tearful face of her daughter made Mama Hani sad. 

"What was it because you wanted to marry Abhiyasa, so you decided to follow her beliefs?" ask mama Hani to investigate.

"No Ma.. has absolutely nothing to do with Abhiyasa even though Hani is eager to be united in the marriage bond with him. It's just a matter of the heart. Hani's heart says that Hani is more comfortable there. Nothing is different, Ma. His teachings both taught him goodness. It's just that Hani's heart is calmer there. Hani begs Ma. restui Hani's heart's desire," Hani said in a hoarse voice because of his crying.

Mama Hani moved from her seat. He was disappointed to hear his daughter's words.

Mama Hani looked at Hani firmly and said,

"No Ma. Hani does not play with religion. Hani just wanted to ask for the blessing of Mama and Papa. Hani beg Ma. allow Hani. Restui Hani," said Hani in response to his mother's speech.

As if not hearing anything, Mama Hani left the room without responding to a remark from her daughter.

The cry of Hani became. The tightness that was inside his chest made his cry sound extremely miserable.

"Pa... How is this? Do we have to let our children separate from us?" asked Mama Hani when she was in their room.

Papa Hani just stared blankly at the book he read. Then he said,

"Papa wants our family to walk together into a very beautiful paradise together."

Mom Hani hugged her husband. She felt very lucky to have him as her husband and the head of their family.

"It seems, Papa must immediately decide Ma," said papa Hani as he placed the book in his hand on the table in front of him.

Mom Hani was astonished at her husband. Then he said,

"decided? Decide what Pa?"
