Honey And Toxins (Not a Common Contract)
Chapter 24: Revenge

Nara squirmed a little, then she realized she was not sleeping on a pillow. His heart was beating so hard he could imagine what he had done last night.

He slowly looked up, as Ammar opened his eyes. Their gazes met, the two pairs of neutrals locked up in an instant. The two are silent, is this a dream?

Nara immediately got up when she realized it was not a dream. They both throw their faces away. Nara stood tidying up her hair while rushing to the bathroom. While Ammar still pegged in place with a stiff face.

"What happened.." he muttered while holding the nape that felt stiff and achy.

...~...

Now Nara has arrived at the Detective Agency. Sam and Sandra discover the awkwardness between Irene and Ammar. For that he will ask Nara, is there something that Nara thinks so.

"The eldest son of Damar, he is not the son of Mr. Damar's wife. Do you know this?" ask Sam. And Nara shook her head, let alone about it. Mr. Damar's son Nara did not know.

"The 45-year-old victim who was killed 7 years ago, a famous news anchor. We found evidence that the victim and Mr. Damar had an affair. And the firstborn, now sitting in the Director's chair, is the daughter."

Nara cuts Sam's explanation.

"So Mr. Damar killed his mistress?"

"The woman was killed just as she was about to broadcast exclusive news of the tragedy that killed Ammar's parents. But after we investigate, it's not real news. But the news that he turned around to ruin the good name of the Leader. His headline The chairman embezzled some of the investors' money." Sam showed me the news report that will be brought at that time.

"You mean what Mr. Damar killed his colony for. And maybe our charges are wrong, are you?"

"Exactly.." Sam flicked his finger at Nara. Tumben's brain is good today.

"Then, is Director Ryan?" ask Nara again.

Sam shook his head, "The news has nothing to do with it. We were investigating him about the sedative, but it turned out that he had nothing to do with it at all. He and Damar purely worked together to develop the drug. Damar is just an injector of funds. As for Ms. Mina, she's the one who's laundering money for Director Ryan. And we're investigating deeper, all those killed were people who had worked with Damar. So it's likely that the perpetrator was the third party in the middle of Ammar and Damar."

"Who..?" Nara opened her ears wide.

"So, you know.." Sam is increasingly confused, on the other hand the strong evidence about Damar and the tragedy of the fire is already in their hands. But without the revelation of the serial murder case, the case will not be lifted again. He was sure that the murder and tragedy had the same link. Between an unfinished grudge, or revenge.

"I want you to do an important job..." Sam gives direction to Nara, he believes Nara can do it.

"Huhh..?" Nara thaws, she's not sure she's doing that well.

"I trust this to you" said Sam steadily.

After a day of interrogation by the Detective team, Nara returns home at seven o'clock. When he opened the door of the magnificent house, he found a view of the steps. The lights of the room are brightly lit.

He went straight into the room, but Irene called out to him. He asks Nara to have dinner with Ammar as well.

What the hell is going on? usually if the sun goes down the house is like uninhabited. Why today suddenly want a night tomb together?

Nara sat on the chair, the waiter picked up rice for her. In front of him Ammar sat. Their gazes met for a moment, recalling the faint moment that felt imprinted. Nara was embarrassed to remember the incident. Before long, they threw away each other's eyes again.

Irene who noticed that only narrowed her eyes. He gulped down the Wine with a cold and sharp face as usual.

"So you slept at your Grandma's last night? Why not tell?" tanya Irene made Nara's heartbeat irregular. Is Irene going to scold him?

"But I..."

"Other times tell us first." added Ammar pitched a bit taut. Of course it raises questions in Nara's mind. Did Ammar go there without Irene's knowledge?

"b.good.." Nara nodded, she received a deep look from Ammar that seemed to tell her to keep her mouth shut.

Irene moved her eyes to Ammar.

"You too, I've been looking all night for you. But you slept in the apartment. You always run away from me when you're at odds."

"I'm lazy to argue." said Ammar increased sharply.

Now Nara knew, Ammar left home because he was at odds with Irene. Why should I be at his grandmother's house? He had many more worthy places.

"Tell the Detectives to immediately issue a search warrant at Damar's office. Tomorrow I'll bring you the full proof of the embezzlement he's committed."

"Why don't you just call her?" Nara cut, if to convey such a thing should be in private right?

"You have to be a witness tomorrow, so prepare yourself" Irene said with a mysterious smile.

Nara nodded, though she did not know what kind of testimony she needed. Now he has to play a double role. Doing what Sam asked, Irene also did.

Whatever he will be willing to do. For the sake of investigating the killer of his Grandmother, is it really the work of Damar who has not fulfilled his revenge. Or someone who wants revenge.
