Chapter 40: The Dope

Without informing Ammar, Irene went to see Sam to ask about the progress of their research.

This time it was Sandra who wrote down the chain of how their father got stuck and how Damar could clean his hands.

Irene tried to support Nara's collapsed body towards her. "Quick get him to his room." He added another injection. So that when he woke up later Nara would be dazed by what he saw just now.

Ammar carried Nara very carefully. He was very worried whether the anesthetic Irene injected was not harmful to Nara's fetus.

Irene helped put Nara to sleep in the most comfortable position. Blanket he wrapped, towel on Nara's head he let go slowly and put into the bathroom. So that when Nara woke up she was absolutely sure that all she saw was a dream.

"Is the anesthetic harmless?" ask Ammar worriedly.

"Either.. It'd be more dangerous if he suspected us."

"You sound really worried about her" Irene added a little jealous. Ammar was worried because if Nara were to die they would repeat everything from the beginning.

"I'm afraid he remembers everything." said Ammar sighing. He took Irene away from there.

"What if he remembers?" ask Ammar to make sure.

"I'll kill him." Irene said without hesitation.

The police have found the former staff that Sam was looking for. He was found almost rotting in one of the flats where he lived. Once identified, they identified him as the victim of a serial murder.

Sam and Galih went around, there was no trace and no evidence that anyone else was there. Sam's suspicions are now pinned on Irene or Damar.

"He's really meticulous doing this." Galih said in disbelief. Not even a little bit of the perpetrator's DNA in there.

"This is how he set Nara up." - Sam.

"I started to worry about Nara, my suspicions were strong that they deliberately trapped Nara into the house by killing her Grandmother."
