Honey And Toxins (Not a Common Contract)
Chapter 42: Dream or not?

In her room, Irene was pensive while nibbling on her thumb nails. His face seemed to show wrath that was ready to wash away anyone. It was because he felt annoyed at Damar who could always dodge.

"If this continues, I have to use my own way." he murmured. If Damar's law cannot be caught, he will arrest Damar with his knife.

It was actually easy for Irene to eliminate Damar. But he does not want the freedom of Damar to end just like that. He wanted the public to know what kind of rotten attitude Damar had stabbed his family in the back.

"What are you thinking..?" Ammar came from the secret door, he stroked Irene's head.

"Shall I kill Damar now?" That desire was so deep in Irene's mind.

"We haven't tarnished his name, it would be a waste if he just died."

Ammar sat down next to Irene, resting the woman's head on her shoulder to feel calm.

"I envy Nara's position." lamented Irene as she closed her eyes.

"Why? I don't think he's that lucky."

"She's your wife, people think you're very compatible."

At a time like this it occurred to Irene that she was blaming her parents. Had they not hidden the marriage, his identity would not have been Ammar's sister.

"You jealous?" Ammar's whispers gently caressed the child's hair on Irene's forehead. Their love bond has been in place for a long time.

Irene nodded, "He's kind of nice. And a nice girl. I'm just a crazy psychopath. I'm afraid your love is beginning to fade Ammar..."

Maybe it is called a strong feeling of a wife. Irene felt the signal between them begin to weaken.

Hearing the wife's fear made Ammar stunned again. The love Irene felt was huge. But he himself did not know exactly how much his love for Irene. If love is calculated from the magnitude of comfort and care, then Ammar's love is also equal.

"I still love you Irene... Will always love you." he said. Maybe he deserves to be called a traitor now. The speech was just a baseless sense of threshold.

...~~~...

Today Nara is back in the Detective Agency. Sam tells him to go there, and he wants to investigate Ammar and Irene's real relationship. At once told Nara that the two humans were deceiving him.

"Have Ammar been married before?" sam's question opened the conversation, he looked at Ammar's wedding records on his computer. Nara sat behind the computer screen.

"I don't think so." answered Nara doubtfully, nor did she think of it. Because Irene said Ammar was afraid of being in a relationship, it meant that this was the first marriage for Ammar, right?

"Why..?" Nara was confused as to what made Sam ask that.

"It's okay, I just want to know." Sam shut down the computer. I can't bear to tell Nara now. The matter about the murder is not finished, if he tells the uncertain thing it will not add to the burden of Nara. After all Sandra had not managed to ascertain whether the wedding documents were genuine or not.

"Besides Irene's scar, didn't you find anything strange in that house?" Sam preferred to change the topic initially.

"What kind of weird stuff..?" Almost everything he saw in the house was strange, even the occupants.

"Suspicious scenes, photos, places or something like being covered up?"

"There was a room underground, a dark green iron door. I wonder what's in it..." Nara's words stopped. Like there's something weird.

"Wait, isn't that just a dream? After taking a shower I walked towards the warehouse out of curiosity about the door. Yeah, I'm there, right? Is that a dream too? But when did I fall asleep again?" Nara muttered to herself with the strangeness she was experiencing. He was very sure after taking a shower to go to the warehouse and enter the basement.

Nara raised her eyeballs, "Let's go, I feel like my dream is very real..."

"That door was just a dream?" ask Sam again.

"No, that door really exists. I almost opened it that day."

Sam got up and picked up something, like a small metal slab measuring 10 cm. "Can you go there again? Put this metal in the keyhole, then bring it here. I'll make you a duplicate. Remember to do it secretly."

"ee.. I'm curious, but why are we checking that? You really suspect them of being killers? Why are you so suspicious of them?" Nara is nervous, she does not expect Sam to really suspect Ammar and Irene. It just doesn't make sense to him.

"Why do you think Irene got that scar? Forensics says 90 percent of it matches a scissor stroke at your grandmother's house. Shouldn't we suspect them too? And maybe the answer we're looking for is in that room."

The scars on Irene's thighs, the marriage documents, and their mass really made Sam very suspicious.

"Then what if they're really killers? Are they gonna kill me? Imagine if I get caught, they'll take my life!" Nara shuddered with goosebumps imagining if Sam's words turned out to be true. A house with murderers? really creepy.

"Then I offered you this yesterday." Sam returns with a gun to Nara.

"haiss! You're totally nuts. I'm just an expert at using syringes. Not a gun." He turned to Sam. Everyone he met after his Grandmother's death was nothing normal.

Suddenly Sam's office door opened violently. Who else would have done it if not Ammar.

"Didn't the doctor tell you to rest at home?"

Nara and Sam both looked at Ammar with shocked gazes. Ammar is like a ghost that always appears anywhere.

"Why do you know I'm here?" nara asked inexhaustibly.

Ammar approached with his cynical face, making Nara eager to scratch the man's face.

"Where else would it be if it wasn't here? Do you have any other purpose?"

Nara raised her upper lip, returning Ammar's cynical gaze. His life had no purpose, just as Ammar said. And that's getting him pissed.

"Stop calling my wife for trivial reasons. You're in the wrong place to look for a chance." It is not enough that he blames Nara with his sharp mouth, now Sam is also a target.

Sam was about to answer, but Nara cut him off.

"he..! What wife. We're just getting married on a contract, so stop being pretentious husband and wife." He returned the words of Ammar which always emphasized the limits.

"wahho.. You're talking about that in front of this guy?" He pointed at Sam with a puffed-up face. Didn't he forbid Nara to talk to strangers about it.

"Because he has to know everything in order to investigate why I got stuck in prison and ended up with you."

"Why didn't you tell him that we slept together?" ketus Ammar lowered his voice, his gaze was also no less deep and sharp.

"She did ask me for legal advice about it." Sam interceded.

"What..??" Ammar moved his glare at Sam. While Nara bowed while biting her lips. Get him this time. Inevitably it must be admitted that he broke some contract rules.
