27. Anti Submarine

“CIC commanders get Torpedo movement towards us amounting to two Torpedoes!” Hikari and Yosuke Kadomatsu got a report from the CIC.

Hikari is not in the CIC because Commander Izumo is in need of his ability to identify Ships, Aircraft, and others. The ocean could be that unexpected danger that is currently on Hikari's mind, JS Hatakaze Not Yet On his Combat Mode. Sh-60 Anti-Submarine Helicopter in the air, the Helicopter is equipped with Seeker Sonar capabilities that can detect any anomaly under the sea including WW2 Submarines that have not implemented the Demon System.

“Ship Dive detected! 3900 Yards from JS Hatakaze! Submarine Type unknown due to lack of data!” The Sh-60 pilot managed to detect where the Submarine was located.

“Stupid! That's because you guys lack training! We take action to survive by avoiding the torpedo! Identify where it is!?” Masayuki Kikuchi scolded the crew who lacked the necessary training because they often ditched.

“Already Masayuki! This is a Real Time Event, we need to know how things are outside now!” Iori calmed down Masayuki Kikuchi patiently.

The torpedo approached but could have been avoided at the critical moment, almost exposed to the torpedo. Meanwhile in the USS Gato, the Submarine Captain was astonished because he said the ship was damaged, but why 30 seconds later after blaming the engine, the ship was able to avoid death.

“Even 30 Seconds after faulting the machine, they can avoid Mk 14?” The captain did not think that the Mk 14 Torpedo launched could have been avoided.

“I've never heard the sound of such a machine before! You said they were dead machines, right?” Crews using headsets hear the engine sound like a loud but smooth roar on their devices.

“Hey don't blame me dong? Why don't you try yourself to be a master ship engineer like me! Surely you wouldn't expect these things either, Captain I suggest opening valves 3, 4, 5 and 6! They would not be able to escape with the Torpedo spreading.

The shoom! The Mk 14 torpedo spread out in four directions, aiming for JS Hatakaze once again. Mk 14 Using CO² (Carbon dioxide) Booster. By the end of World War II, the Markus Torpedo was a reliable weapon that could eventually operate for nearly 40 years in the U. S. Navy, and even longer with other navies.

Markus' design began in January 1931; the Navy allocated $ 143,000 for its development. Markus 14 is to serve on the new “Armada” submarine and replace Markus which has been in operation since World War I and is standard on older R-and S boats. Despite the same diameter, the Mark 14 is longer, at 20 feet 6 in (6.25 m), and therefore does not correspond to older submarines ’15 feet 3 in (4.65 m) torpedo tubes. (Later in the war, the Ordnance Bureau (Buord) stopped producing Markus for the S-Boat and gave Mark's torpedo a shorter subsystem, and the subsystems evolved over time. Torpedoes are also customized for their applications. Submarine torpedoes, such as Markus 14, are limited by the dimensions of the submarine's torpedo tubes: 21 inches in diameter and a certain maximum length. Submarines are expected to close with their targets, so torpedoes need not be long-term. Conversely, torpedoes fired by destroyers require a greater range because their approach will burn from their target. Improvements in the power output of the propulsion engine allowed the Mark 14 to have a top speed of 46 knots compared to the 30 knots Mand 0 MOD 0. The steering is controlled by a gyroscope; the Gyro on the Mark 10 MOD 0 is rotated on the Torpedo Tube and is not powered after launch; the Gyro on Markus continues to be powered by an air pumpkin. Depth control on Mark 10 slow – depth will not be stable quickly; Mark 14 depth stabilization is improved.

But for Aegis Destroyer Like JS Hatakaze, Mk 14 Torpedo is not a serious problem if it is not hit. The Hatakaze-class guided-missile destroyers are third-generation vessels operating with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF). They were the first JMSDF ships to have gas turbine propulsion. The core weapon package is similar to the previous Tachikaze class, but various upgrades are made in many areas. The most prominent is the one that allows Hatakaze classes to serve as the mainstay of the group. Usually this task is on the larger type of ship, but if they are absent due to repairs, accidents, or combat damage, Hatakaze's design allows it to serve as a command ship.

The destroyer Hatakaze operated the OYQ-4-1 type tactical control system. Its weapons systems include standard surface-to-air missiles, anti-submarine rockets, RGM-84 Harpoon anti-ship missiles, two Mark 15 20 mm CIWS gun mounts, and two Mark 15, two torpedo mounts in three-tube configuration and two 5-inch/54 Rapid Firing Mark 42 cannon mounts.

“Launch ASROC! Don't let the Submarine come back and bring information about us to the United States!” Izumo took firm steps against the Submarine.

“Sfx: Shoom! Wussh!” The VLA missile carrying the Anti-Submarine Torpedo to the Submarine's location.

“Feel it! Unknown Submarine!” Hikari being outside the Bridge became excited.

Then one Torpedo Mk 14 Torpedo hit the hull and JS Hatakaze did not suffer damage which means it only leaked in the middle. But it can be closed well for a while so as not to drown.

“ASROC hit target! Target Destroyed! Some of the Submarine Crew are safe!” Hikari told his father The results of the ASROC launched earlier.

“Alright Combat Mode is complete! It's time to head to our destination in Malaya! All Crews depart!” Iori while wrapping the bodies of Some Crews who became Victims of Torpedo Mk 14 earlier.

JS Hatakaze Rapidly Towards the Malay Peninsula, with the condition of the Hull patched by Electronic Counter Measures Damaged and Fall into the sea. Passed Leyte Bay in the Philippines and they stopped to repair the damaged tools. Then they were approached by the Indonesian Navy with Several Antasena Tank Boat, 2 Guided Missile Destroyer and Cargo Ship coming from Samarinda as it detected the presence of a stopped Ship.

“Commander of several Indonesian-flagged Ships and not Japanese ones highlighting us with spotlights!” Masayuki Kikuchi reported to Commander Izumo.

“Indonesia? Isn't Indonesia independent in 1945 right? Let's hear what they mean!” Izumo calmly and patiently waited.

“True Father Eh Commander, it is Indonesia! But their ships are more advanced than we all know, right? It's not a Sigma-Class Frigate but I'm sure it's Indonesia!” Hikari guessed it exactly but still wrong a little.

Then the Voice of the Indonesian Caliphate Navy was heard.

“Hei You! Your ship is wrecked, right? We will help and repair your Ship! Follow Us to our Military Base!” They requested that JS Hatakaze join the Indonesian Military Base in the Java Sea.
