Construction of the Zumwalt class began in February 2009 and the main ship of the class, the USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000), was launched in October 2013 and commissioned in October 2016.

Each Zumwalt-class destroyer is 186m long and 24.5m wide and can equip a crew of 158. Advanced surface combatants are equipped with stealth features and can perform coastal operations, as well as anti-air, anti-submarine and anti-submarine. Surface warfare missions sail at 30k.

The ships are armed with an 80-cell vertical launch system (VLS), two 155mm advanced weapons, and two 30mm melee weapon systems (CIGS). Critical technologies such as integrated electric power systems and damage control systems are also incorporated into the ship. Flight facilities aboard the ship include a large flight deck and hangar.

Type Destroyer class 055

The full load displacement of about 13,000 tons makes the Type 055 class destroyer the largest and most capable surface combatant currently being built by Jiangnan Shipyard and the Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company (DSIC) for the Force The People's Liberation Army (PLAN) Sea.

The first ship in its class, the Nanchang (101), performed in public during the PLAN's 70th anniversary parade held in April 2019. Each Type 055 ship has a stealth hull measuring 180m long and 20m wide. Its combined gas turbine and gas turbine (COGAG) drive ensures a maximum speed of 30k.

The Type 055 destroyer is armed with the H/PJ-38 130mm dual-purpose naval gun, H/PJ-11 short-range weapon system, HHQ-9 surface-to-air missile, anti-ship / the YJ-18 ground attack cruise missiles, CJ-10 land-attack missiles, and anti-submarine torpedoes.

Atago class crusher

The full displacement of over 10,000 tons and the carrying capacity of a crew of 300 marines make the Japanese Navy-operated Atago-class guided-missile destroyer (JMSDF) one of the largest destroyers in the world. The Atago class is an advanced version of the Congo class and measures 165m in length.

The first destroyer in its class, Atago (DDG-177), was commissioned in March 2007 and the second warship, Ashigara (DDG-178), entered service with the JMSDF in March 2008.

The weapon system in the Atago class consists of the Aegis combat system, Mk-41 VLS, two 20mm guns, Mark 45 Mod 4 127mm guns, anti-ship missiles, and type 68 torpedo tubes. The destroyer has a landing site and hangar for one helicopter. Its gas turbine propulsion system delivers a maximum speed of 30k.

DDH-III Sejongdaewang/Sejong the Great Class (DDH-Aegis)

The Sejongdaewang (Sejong the Great) class, also known as DDH-III, is a new class of three guided-missile destroyers operated by the Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN). The DDH-III class is the largest destroyer in the ROKN fleet and is the only Korean destroyer to carry the Aegis combat system. Each ship has a full load capacity of 10,000 tons and equips more than 300 crew members.

The DDH-III Destroyer was developed under the Korean Destroyer eXperimental (KDX) program to implement blue water operations. Three Sejong the Great destroyers built by Hyundai Heavy Industries and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering were commissioned between 2008 and 2012.

The Sejong the Great-class destroyer carries the Mk-45 Mod 4 naval gun, the Goalkeeper short-range weapon system (CIWS), anti-ship/anti-aircraft missiles, as well as anti-submarine rockets and torpedoes. The destroyer offers landing facilities for two helicopters and has a combined gas propulsion and gas turbine (COGAG) system that ensures a maximum speed of 30k.

Kee Lung class crusher

The Kee Lung class (formerly KIDD class) is a class of four destroyers operating with the Republic of China Navy (Taiwan Navy). The destroyer was delivered to the People's Republic of China Navy between 2005 and 2006, and is the second largest warship of the Taiwanese Navy.

The Kee Lung class has a standard displacement of 6,950t and a full load displacement of 9,574t. Each ship can equip a crew of 363 marines and is equipped with modern combat and communications capabilities to be the main task ship.

The Kee Lung armament consists mostly of two 127mm guns, two CIWS, two three Mark 32 tubes, surface-to-air missiles, and long-range anti-ship missiles. The destroyer supports operations of up to two helicopters and can reach a top speed of 33k.

Arleigh Burke (Flight IIA) Class Destroyer

The DDG 51-class guided-missile destroyer Arleigh Burke was the first destroyer to use the Aegis Combat System. The first Arleigh Burke-class destroyer entered service with the U. S. Navy in 1991.

The latest version of the Arleigh Burke-class (Flight IIA) is armed with Standard Missile, vertically launched ASROC missiles, Tomahawk missiles, Evolved Sea Sparrow Missiles (ESSMs), MK-46 torpedoes, CIWS, and so on, and MK 45 guns. Four LM 2500-30 gas turbines driving two shafts allow the ship to sail at a maximum speed of more than 30k.

Congo Class Crusher

The Congolese-class guided-missile destroyer, with a full load capacity of 9,500t, is comparable in size to cruisers. The warships are operated by the JMSDF and integrate the highly advanced Aegis combat system.

The main destroyer in its class, the Congo (DDG-173), was commissioned in March 1993 and the fourth and final ship, the Chokai (DDG-176), was commissioned to operate in March 1998.

Congo's main weapons systems include a vertical launch system, anti-ship missiles, two 20mm guns, a 127mm fast-fire cannon, and two three-tube torpedoes. The destroyer is powered by a gas turbine propulsion system, delivering a top speed of 30k.

Project 1155.1 Udaloy II class Destroyer

Project 1155.1 Udaloy II is the largest destroyer class of the Russian Navy. Udaloy II is an upgraded version of the Udaloy class I anti-submarine destroyer and has a full load displacement of 8,900 tons.
