Kan Kukejar Dreams
You are blind, right?

The clock has shown at 7 am West Indonesia time. Nicholas opened his eyes because his alarm clock had sounded as if he was yelling to wake the master.

The man squirmed for a while, then sat down and stretched his stiff muscles. Then, he grabbed his phone that was on the nightstand that happened to be ringing a sign that someone was contacting him.

"Papa? why did you call me at this hour? isn't it still there at 1am? or maybe something happened to my mom?" inner Nicholas with a wrinkled forehead.

"Hello, Pa!" greet Nicholas.

"A long time you answered the phone? From earlier Papa has contacted you many times, but you did not respond. Did you just wake up?"

"Yes, Pa, sorry!" nicholas rubbed his chin. "What's up, Pa? it's still 1 in the morning, isn't Papa supposed to be sleeping now?" nicholas continued back while leaning his body on the back of the bed.

"If Papa calls you at this hour, that means something important,"

Nicholas's eyebrows were tangled, hearing his father's words. "What's important? is this about the company job? if the problem is, Papa calm down, I can handle everything well, especially now there is an apprentice Renata in my office," said Nicholas, smiling, although his smile could not be seen by Rehan papa.

"Nicho, it's not about work. It's about Nathan. He had an accident and as a result of the accident, his cornea was damaged and blinded" Rehan said.

Nicholas' eyes grew and his mouth was open to the news that had just come out of his mouth. Even from being too shocked, the phone in his ear almost slipped out of his hand.

"Don't joke, Pa! papa is lying right now, right? it's really not funny, Pa. This kind of thing was not very suitable to be used as a joke," Nicholas shook his head in disbelief.

"Papa wasn't kidding at all. It can't be a serious thing like this, papa make it a joke,"

Nicholas's body sagged limply, hearing his father's words.

"Why did that happen, Pa?" ask Nicholas in a clean voice.

"That's indeed an element of deliberate. There was a British girl who liked Nathan very much, but Nathan never responded. Unaccepting, the girl ended up planning this all. Coincidentally, Nathan was walking to calm down around the London Eye. His mind was empty, so he did not have time to dodge," Rehan said at length without pause.

"Sobbed? empty thoughts? why is it like that?" Nicholas scrunched his forehead.

Rehan did not answer. The middle-aged man took a deep breath first, then exhaled it back long and heavy.

"That's because he knows that you and Renata are engaged,"

Nicholas was stunned, silent a thousand languages. Immediately a feeling of guilt came over his heart. Actually he wanted to ask who Nathan could tell from, but the man kept him out, because he was sure that Nathan knew for sure from his mother.

"That is, indirectly I was the cause of this accident? I shouldn't have continued this engagement. She must have thought that I had taken her mother, but why did the woman she loved take me?" nicholas said with a clean slit.

"It's not your fault. This has become a destiny that we cannot escape. Had you not been engaged to Renata, it was likely that this accident would still have occurred. The girl named Jeslyn had planned to harm Nathan, in advance. He hoped that Nathan would be disabled so that no woman would be his partner" Rehan said, calming his son who he believed would be devastated.

"What, Nathan's eyes are still curable, Pa?"

"Nathan can see again, if there's an eye donor. If it wasn't there, he probably wouldn't be able to see again. That's what made mama drop now," this time Rehan's voice sounded soft.

"Your mama is now calm, because she was given a sedative by a doctor. From there your mom didn't stop forcing her corneas to be taken and given to Nathan,"

Nicholas closed his eyes at a glance, feeling sad to imagine how the condition of his mother was now.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

Nicholas walked gontai towards his room. The man's gaze looked empty, even the greetings of employees who passed by him, he did not respond at all.

The look on Nicholas' face caught the attention of employees, not least Anisa.

"Why this haughty guy? why is the look on her face no different from Renata's?" Anisa remembers the look on Renata's best friend's face that makes no difference at all to Nicholas.

"Are they both fighting?" Anisa whispered to herself.

Meanwhile, Nicholas who had almost reached his room, almost collided with Renata who had a look on his face as said by Anisa earlier, 'sour'.

"Haish, my mood has been shattered, further shattered once I see your face. The face that made everything go awry" Renata said, looking at Nicholas with a face full of hatred.

Nicholas did not reply at all, as he usually did. The man instead passed from before Renata and entered his room.

Feeling unheeded, Renata felt upset and followed into Nicholas' room.

"You didn't hear me talk? why did you just pass by. You blind don't see me or you deaf?" renata said with a hunting breath filled with anger.

"Hey, you hear me? why are you quiet?" renata's anger was further ignited by the apathy of the man in front of him.

"Last night, Nathan called me and he already knew about our engagement. That's all, surely you're the one who told him? you must have threatened him, and asked him to avenge all your slaves. You really, sneaky! just so you know, no matter how you get me, my feelings for Nathan will never change. I will hate you all my life, if you continue to impose your will" Renata vented all her anger in a high voice, not caring about Nicholas's attitude as if he did not exist.

"Nicholas! are you blind? you don't see anyone talking in front of you?" it wanted Renata to tear the face of the man in front of him, because the man seemed to think it did not exist.

Nicholas finally looked at Renata's reddened face.

"You're done talking? if I just wanted to say, you said I was blind, for now I may not be blind, but chances are, soon what you say will come true" said Nicholas, ogre.

"What do you mean?" this time Renata's voice weakened, failing to understand Nicholas' words.

" Do I need to be straight again? didn't you say I was blind? for now I may not be blind, but not for a moment. Explain already? now you can get out! if you don't want to intern in my office, that's okay too! you are free to choose,"

Renata muttered unmoved, completely bewildered by the change in attitude of the man before her.
