Kan Kukejar Dreams
Unpretentious

The arrival of Nathan's extended family is welcomed and happy by his mother Lina Renata. But not with Rajendra. The face of the middle-aged man looked flat, hard to read. I don't know what that guy was thinking. It seems like something is bothering her father Renata's mind.

After making small talk, Rehan finally opened his voice to express the intention of their arrival to the Rajendra residence, which is to propose to Renata officially and also want to talk about the wedding date Nathan and Renata.

Renata's face looks radiant, because it is very happy, as well as Nathan.

"Pa, why shut up? give me dong's response," whispered Lina right in Rajendra's ear, who looked out of focus.

"Emm, okay! Mr. Rehan, Naura's mother, thank you for your goodwill to immediately formalize the relationship between our two children to the marriage stage. I was very happy because the goal was very noble, but before I answered I wanted to ask Nathan one question," Rajendra turned his gaze to Nathan.

"Son Nathan, Om ask, after you're both married, where are you two going to live? are you going to take my daughter to London?"

Nathan scrunched his forehead, feeling his prospective-in-law's question was a little strange.

"Why ask like that? isn't that a certainty? there's no way I'm leaving him in Jakarta" Nathan whispered to himself.

Although Nathan felt Rajendra's question was a little absurd, the man did not say it. He kept trying to smile.

"Emm, Yes, Om. I can't possibly leave it in Indonesia" Nathan replied straightforwardly.

Rajendra took a deep breath and threw it back out.

"This is what makes me heavy. Because I don't want you to take Renata to London, exactly,"

Everyone who was in that place suddenly gasped in shock at the words that had just been thrown from Rajendra's mouth.

"What does Mr Rajendra mean?" it was not Nathan who asked but Rehan who opened his voice.

"Sir Rehan, you know clearly that I only have one heir daughter from my company, if she comes to London who will be in control of my company later?" sahut Rajendra's.

"Why are you thinking about it now? didn't you know from the beginning that your future son-in-law was pursuing his dream on another continent? don't you know that Nathan's company is in London? why after coming this far, do you seem to mind? you should be firm in this matter from the beginning, not after everything is well planned, you change your mind" said Rehan who had begun to grow furious.

"Pa, relax! hold emotions!" Naura stroked Rehan's chest.

"Pa, why is it like this anyway?" Renata began to protest.

"Sir Rehan, I'm sorry I messed up! but, try to pull myself into you. You only have one child, and it's a girl, I think you'll be __" too"

"I'll never be you! even if I had to pull it to myself, I would definitely not be as wishy-washy as you. And to be sure, I would have thought about it carefully from the beginning, what were the consequences to the worst of it," Rehan quickly interrupted Rajendra's words, before the man finished his words.

"Please watch your words, Mr. Rehan. I've never planned!" Rajendra began to be lured.

"So, if it's not wishful thinking, what do you call your actions now?" Rehan had begun to be impatient again, although Naura had been trying to calm her husband.

Why did Rajendra, in the past, reject Nicholas on the grounds of giving Nathan a chance, when it ended up being this way? why after Nathan can really prove that he can be successful, Rajendra just thought about the consequences, why not from the past? Rehan is really angry, because he feels that Rajendra is playing with the feelings of his two sons.

"Pa, why did you become like this anyway? shouldn't you be happy, if your daughter gets genuine love from a man? I'm disappointed in you, Papa?" said Lina who is now starting to get emotional with her husband.

"I'm disappointed in Papa too? how many times, though,.Papa let your own daughter down?" Renata reopens the sound.

Meanwhile, Nathan was silent. He did not want to make things worse, even though deep in his heart, he was very disappointed with the attitude of his father Renata. But behind Nathan's silence, the young man was thinking hard what the solution to this problem was.

"Why do you all blame me? you all have absolutely no idea what I feel. I didn't reject Nathan's proposal at all, but I just asked him what would happen next. Whether Renata was taken to London or not, that's all!_ Rajendra's voice starts to rise and vibrate. It seemed like the man wanted to cry, but he put up with it because he did not want to look weak.

"That's exactly the problem, your question, Mr Rajendra! is it not the duty of a wife to follow her husband? if you don't want Renata to come with her husband, you marry him from the beginning with someone you can control and don't ask him to succeed first," rehan's anger is growing.

"Father, Wicked!" pekik Renata suddenly while running up to his room.

"Nathan, let's go home!" tell Rehan, be firm.

"But, Pa I ...."

"If you don't want to go home, whatever!" Rehan left, and was immediately overtaken by Naura. It seemed that Rehan was indeed very angry. The middle-aged man, felt his efforts and his son had all this time been in vain.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

"Pa, why are you like this? why aren't you consistent with what you say?" Lina returned to protest, after their living room was quiet.

"Ma, just try to understand a little about my feelings. I just suddenly felt sad, when I imagined that I would have to suddenly part with my daughter. With this hand, I held her for the first time. I was the first man he saw. With this hand, I helped him learn to walk, run and play with it. But as soon as I grow up, I have to part with him. If I split up but still in one city I won't be able to be this sad, but this is a different country, Ma. That's a dozen hours away, on a plane. For some reason, my chest feels claustrophobic thinking about it, Ma. Did you think I wasn't sad when she saw her crying? but what makes me sad when she cries is not that she's going to part with me. She was crying because of another man she knew as soon as she grew up. It hurts, Ma!" Tears that had been detained by Rajendra, now spilled in front of Lina the wife.

Lina, budging. The woman's tears, now dripping down her cheeks.

"I didn't think our daughter was an adult. But even though he's an adult I still think of him, still like a child. Honestly, I missed his chatter first, he cheered when I got home from work. I miss joking with him. I realized that it was my fault, I always ignored little things like that. I always limit what he wants to do. Now, as soon as she wants to get married somehow I miss her childhood moments so much" Rajendra continued.

"But, Pa. This is the consequence we have to face, where when a daughter is married, she has to go with her husband. We don't want to have to accept that reality. Papa should be ready for that," Lina now opened her voice.

"Papa himself said that Papa was amazed by Nathan's strong and passionate person, and never gave up. Isn't she the daughter-in-law you so desperately wanted to replace you to make your daughter happy? We're getting old, Pa, and isn't Papa convinced to give up the job of protecting Renata to Nathan, take your place? rest assured, Pa, even though they will be living in London, Nathan will never intend to keep you away from Renata" Lina continued, trying to persuade her husband.

Without them realizing Renata, hearing all the outbursts of a man's heart is arguably his first love. A father is the first love for a daughter. Those words are very true. Renata went back into the room and cried sobbing.

Meanwhile, as soon as Renata re-enters the room, Nathan, who has not returned, re-enters Rajendra's residence.

"Om, can we talk?" nathan said, without further ado, to make Rejendra and Lina startled and stare back at Nathan standing in the doorway.
