Nathan attended the Event

The night is approaching. The back garden of the Rehan family residence looks beautiful with decorations filled with colorful flowers and light flickering lights are very beautiful.

"Son, where's Nathan? why hasn't he come yet? didn't you say Nathan was coming?" naura asked Nicholas as she spread her eyes looking for her son.

Renata gasped in shock, hearing that the ex-lover he still loved would be present. His feelings were now completely indescribable with words. His heart beats twice as fast as a normal heartbeat.

"Yes, Nich. The show will start soon. How can we start if he's not here yet?" Rehan opened his voice chiming in the words of Naura, his wife.

""I don't know either, Ma, Pa. He himself said he would attend. Try me to call him!" Nicholas who looked dashing with his tuxedo raised his phone and put it in his ear.

When she wanted to shake Renata's hand, the girl suddenly looked up and passed to her parents. The girl acted as if she didn't recognize Nathan.

Nathan let out a heavy sigh as he retracted his hand and put it in his pants pocket.

"Sister, look at me already coming. Did you believe in my sincerity?" nathan whispered in Nicholas' ear.

"Thank you! now that I believe," Nicholas published a smile on his lips.

Later, Nathan again approaches Naura and Rehan. "Ma, Pa, me and Arsen's sister asked for permission to sit in the guest chair?"

"All right! but don't go far!" Naura gave a warning.

" All right!" Nathan swung his leg, stepping towards the guest seat in the front row. Meanwhile, the tail of Renata's eyes could not escape glancing towards Nathan who was now sitting on a chair, while staring at the stage.

"Are you okay?" whisky Arsen.

"As you can see. I'm okay, right?" nathan replied, showing his smile.

"But what I see in your heart is not okay. Your eyes can't lie, Nath!" arsen.

Nathan didn't answer at all. He did not dispute his brother's words which were true. His eyes remained focused looking forward, as if to show that he was very enthusiastic about seeing the inauguration of the engagement of the girl he loved with his sister.

"Patiently yes!" Arsen patted Nathan's shoulder.

"Hi, Nathan! do you remember me?" suddenly Anisa was standing near Nathan with a sparkling face.

Nathan scrunched his forehead, trying to remember the girl who had just greeted him.

"Sorry, who are you? I don't remember at all that I ever knew you,"

Anisa instantly pursed her lips, feeling annoyed by Nathan's reply. Although at first he could have guessed that the young man would not recognize him. But, somehow he still felt annoyed with the charismatic man.

"I'm Anisa. I had us help when I was chased by two thugs. Do you remember?" Anisa tried to remind me.

Nathan again squinted his eyes trying to remember Anisa's face.

"Did you remember?" anisa cheers with passion.

"Emm, actually I don't really remember. Pardon me! there are some people I have helped. Which one are you?" nathan asked, honestly.

Hearing Nathan's reply, Anisa's lips moved forward. Meanwhile Arsen laughed feeling funny with Anisa's expression.

"Yes, if you don't remember. Emm, can I sit here?" Anisa pointed towards the empty seat near Nathan.

"Please! anyone can sit there, while it's still empty" Nathan said, cold.

From the stage, the look on Renata's face that could not cover her jealousy saw Anisa talking to Nathan. Yes, Renata already knew that his best friend was keeping a heart on Nathan for a long time.

"Why should I be upset? I have no relationship with Nathan anymore. But instead of being a friend, she should understand how I feel now? he shouldn't have taken a chance in the midst of my relationship with Nathan" Renata whispered inwardly.

Not only was Renata staring at Nathan's desk, but also with Nicholas. However, the look on the man's face was really hard to read.

"Looks like he's trying to flirt, Nathan! He thinks Nathan's easy to seduce" Nicholas smiled cynically.

Nathan returned to focus looking forward ignoring Anisa who was busy chattering, as if they were very close.

"Ish, it turns out Nathan is very cold. But, he's really very handsome. Worth it, Renata couldn't forget it. His attitude is cool like this," said Anisa who of course only dared to say in her heart.

"Sister, is brother cold?" asked Anisa while leaning her body towards Arsen.

"Yes. It was like being in the North polar region" said Anisa with a tail of eyes that glanced towards Nathan.

Arsen immediately chuckled, because he understood what Anisa said that turned out to be insinuating Nathan's cold attitude.

"Haish, mentally from Nathan, is now in the attempt to tease Arsen," Nicholas grumbled, staring dumbly at Anisa.

Meanwhile, Anisa subconsciously looked towards Nicholas. The girl was shocked to see Nicholas' extremely sharp gaze on her.

"Damn it! how dare he challenge me" said Nicholas who could read what Anisa said.

"Good night everyone!" it was Rehan's voice that decided to start the event immediately.

" We sincerely thank you for your willingness to take the time to attend the engagement of our son Nathan and Renata, daughter of my colleague Rajendra,"

Nathan, who had bowed his head, suddenly lifted his face, shocked to hear the words that were thrown from the mouth of Rehan his papa. Not only Nathan, Renata was no less shocked.

"It seems, Papa Rehan mispronounced the name," Nathan's inner still sat in his place.

"As you know, my wife and I both had a son before we got married, and Nathan was my best friend. My wife's son, my son too, right? so in addition to announcing Nathan's engagement to Renata, I'd like to introduce him to all of you, too,"

Again Nathan, gasping in shock, confused by what really happened.

Because Nathan was not standing, Nicholas finally got off the stage and approached Nathan.

"Nath, did you not hear Papa calling you? let's go ahead!" Nicholas took Nathan's hand.

"What does all this mean, brother?" nathan asked still sitting in his place.

"Later you'll know for yourself! come stand!"

Nathan finally stood up and walked along with Nicholas towards the stage, accompanied by applause and amazed gazes from the guests.
