The senior laughed even louder and more satisfied. I shriveled as well as Savanna by my side. Still with his laugh, the senior then said. “Of course. As your seniors, we won't let our level siblings just shirk the rules. After all, today is your orientation schedule in Beta class. We have to treat you guys well, don't we?”
“Thanks.” Savanna replied with a gentle look on her face that she could show. I know that he was eager to curse the senior.
“Well, then you should catch up with your friends. Follow me. If you lose track of me, either punishment what else you will get here.” The senior finally flashed a real warning with a serious face.
I prepared my horses instantly, Savanna and Helen did the same. Sure enough, the senior suddenly darted flying into the front courtyard of Beta Castle. We ran tailing behind trying to keep up with the winged senior's flying speed with our run. Of course it's ten times harder. We had to ascertain the senior's direction while continuing to avoid the Beta witches that were milling around inside the castle.
We simply could not pay attention to the surroundings as it was busy chasing and paying attention to this winged senior. Some of the Beta witches we passed by several times called for a word of ridicule or a word of encouragement. I also heard them shout our names out loud in mockery. With this I am more convinced by Savanna's statement that the call for us was really listened to by all the residents of Lixorth Academy.
Subsequent to
surrounding every corner of this castle, the winged senior finally took us
into a large empty room where the Beta witches were training. There, I
I could see my fellow soldiers watching the duel between the two
beta Witch in the middle of the field.
“Friends, we have guests.” The winged senior yelling echoed inside there making the fight of the two Beta witches stop. All the disciples turned to look towards me, Savanna, and Helen, as well as the two seniors who were competing there.
“That's great, Elsie. You arrived at the right time.” One of the seniors in the middle of the field applauded the circus. The young man had large muscles despite not being very tall. His arm muscles were sticking out behind the short blue T-shirt he was wearing. His skin was matured in harmony with his brownish-black eyeballs.
The group of first-year friends that shrouded the two senior witches muscled Beta began to unravel. They gave us a way to stand in the front position. Savanna was the first to walk through the crowd, Helen was after and I was last to walk reluctantly.
Senior Elsie finally landed on the second side of her teammates, waving our hands to the center of the field joining the three witches. I snatched in my heart. It seems like the earthquake was the beginning of our suffering.
“You came right in the middle we were doing a simulation of a match.” Said Bodhi, one of the muscular seniors. He pulled his smile up. “You should do the task of analyzing our magic like your friends. But, since you guys are late I want to give you a different task.”
I've guessed.
Elsie and one other senior retreated slowly and stood close to my other friends. Bodhi arranged our positions so that we faced each other in a circle that we made ourselves.
Oh gosh. I know what that means.
“You will do a live match simulation with me, Bodhi McCallan, The Coolest Beta Witch. I suggest you do this in earnest. Our homeroom teacher, Whitney Quinn is also watching this orientation.”
Me, Helen, and Savanna stared at each other for a few minutes. The other children watching from the side also kept their mouths shut as if they were also fighting with us. Bodhi, this damned senior is smiling gleefully like a madman.
“Who started first? The famous first year kid? Or you? Or you?” Bodhi pointed at us one by one while giggling. Oh, my God, I want to drown him.
Bodhi grinned and that very second he jumped high. “I'm kidding. In the fight, there is no cue to start.”
I looked up to see Bodhi's high jump. He's like a super frog. The jump is high. Perhaps he had only strengthened his jump with acceleration magic. I was just taught that mantra a few days ago, but it's only a theory. Bodhi then hung on the roof with one hand attached to the ceiling. Waw. His magic talent is good.
Suddenly my body was hot. Waves of fire danced around me, Savanna, and Helen and locked us in them. I looked up again to see Bodhi who was still hanging while laughing with satisfaction.
The element is fire?
My sweat began to wash over my uniform. The longer this fire got bigger and kept going up almost covering my vision.
“Focus!” hardik Savanna. The three of us now turned our backs on each other, so our shoulders and backs stuck to each other. Cornered. “She can glue herself.”
“Until when will you shut up, huh?” the screeches of Bodhi sounded again. This time the crazy senior leaped from above and swooped sharply towards us.
“Alison, water.” Savanna started to panic.
I'm nodding. I felt the water in my right palm then with not too much confidence, I forced out even more water with my magic.
THE BUSH!
Justright. Fire is impossible to extinguish with that little water.
Savanna grumbling. He stayed silent for a while and then turned around. A big wind started to form and the flames around us were extinguished instantly.
Greatable. The wind Savanna was putting out was quite large.
Not yet I was amazed, Bodhi suddenly landed smoothly in front of me. The man smiled cunningly and then swung his fist. I thought quickly and hurriedly took out my wind magic hoping to give it a gap before Bodhi struck, but no. My water blob broke just like that and I bounced from the blow on my cheek.
The earth shook and Helen painstakingly tried to ambush Bodhi with the pitfall trap he made. But, the Bodhi movement was too agile. Not to mention, he could glue himself on almost anything. So, before he could fall, his feet stuck to the ground and thwarted everything.
Savanna stared at Bodhi fiercely from behind Helen. He lets Helen experiment with trying to make holes in the ground while she waits for the right momentum to shoot Bodhi with the wind.
I'm rising. Am I the only one who's useless? Alright.
The holes in the ground close on their own and then open again somewhere else. I ran small trying to get closer to my two friends while continuing to pay attention to the hole, afraid that later even I was falling.
“Where are you going?” Bodhi tau-tau was in front of me and again kicked me slowly. Of course I lost my balance. He then leapt agilely closer to Helen and Savanna.
God fucking.
BUKS! BUKS! BUKS!
The wind reappeared. This time it was wild. Bodhi who had the talent of adhesive magic could of course be safe. He just needs to stick anywhere then his body will not be dragged. Instead, me, Helen, and the other kids watching were in trouble.
BRUK!
Aw. I pored around while rubbing my eyes. Oh, excellent. I was in Helen's hole. The hole was neither too shallow nor too deep. But I can't get out with a jump. How'this? The wind is still roaring there. Savanna's wind magic is cool too. He might be able to get into Alpha Class.
Wait for. I have to take advantage of the situation. Also true. I have water magic. Just fill this hole. The advantage, since I was kept away from the battlefield, I became a little more relaxed in controlling my magic.
The sound of Bodhi's laughter rang out again up there beating the sound of the roar of the wind that was still raging. He's a real crazy guy.
Water started to form on my feet. My magic works too. I continuously summoned the water waves with magic. Work, anyway, but long enough because I haven't been able to master it yet or maybe my water magic is this bad. Mathias says magic is easy. Over time, our magic talent will work like a reflex I raised a hand.
Okay, great.
The water kept rising and rising. I looked up at the surface. Sometimes I see Bodhi who is jumping around with agility in the middle of a windstorm. Then, the ground crackled again.
This is no good. Helen's not gonna bury me alive, is she?
Finally, my head poked to the surface. My water has filled the hole and I can float on the water. Cool, right? Not only Mathias can fly, I can do something with my water magic. I stared around carefully. Helen fell on the floor holding her stomach. Savanna's somewhere, anyway,
I couldn't find the girl.
“It's enough
play hide and seek?” Savanna. I'm looking. The girl was standing right in front of the hole where I fell. The wind was still around and Savanna was now flying all the stuff blindly. With this Bodhi will not be able to approach for a while.
“You have an idea?” I painstakingly climbed to the surface.
My roommate looked at me without speaking. She wishes I could read her mind or what? Huh. At the end of my eyes, Helen ran over. He looks better.
“Yes, I have an idea.” Savanna at the end. He explained his idea as clearly as he could. This plan is quite risky, but worth a try. Besides, the three of us are already bonyok. Why not just fight these bars?
“Until when will you avoid me?” peekkik Bodhi's. “Then this is the story, your stamina will run out and you will give up on your own. That's not exciting, you hear?”
Savanna,
Helen, and I'm getting ready. The next second the wind stopped, stuff
who come flying falls in any place in this gor. Bodhi crawled
upside down on the roof still with a shitty expression.
The wind shot back directly towards Bodhi. But, in vain Bodhi jumped down and dodged easily. Savanna did not stop, she continuously shot forcing Bodhi to move. Savanna also flew downed tools, such as sticks, pipes, and nets, and shot them at Bodhi. Like a cannon filled with bombs in the form of makeshift tools. Bodhi continued to dodge easily. The man finally got off trying to get closer from the ground. He jumped small while dodging the hole Helen made and shot towards Savanna.
The girl faced Bodhi and continued to send wind shots, but this did not slow down Bodhi's run. He was like an athlete running a race with a barrier.
Getting close. Getting close. At a distance of only a few meters, Savanna once again blindly let out her violent wind as if she was making a wind shield to keep Bodhi from approaching.
“Absolutely weak. What was? You exhausted?” tease Bodhi. He's getting closer. “Because you are the most troublesome, I must defeat you first.”
“Now.” Savanna gave the order. With that, the wind suddenly stopped spinning. The wind shield made by Savanna is gone. Bodhi's figure was there, grinning as he prepared his fist.
Then, I appeared on the right side of the man lunging straight at him. My right arm was raised, I could feel the spin of a basketball-sized water ball spinning in my palm. In a split second, I could see the shocked expression of Bodhi. He didn't expect me to be there that close to him.
BYUR!
I ambushed my senior's head, letting the round water ball hit him right in the face. Bodhi will not be pleased. Who likes to be dipped in a bowl of water all of a sudden? Our ambush effort was apparently a success. Bodhi was unable to regulate his balance due to frantically trying to catch his breath. He was then pushed back where Helen's hole had appeared.
Reflexes, Bodhi's right arm reached for my shoulder violently. I felt like I was being ripped off or forcefully pulled with hardened magic on his arm. A second later, I was thrown.
I smile. Bodhi finally fell into the water-filled hole we made. The wind again appears in the hole that makes the water go round. Bodhi inevitably maintained his body in the hole
if he does not want to be drawn into the wind that has been filled with training sticks. It was like he was surviving in the middle of the waves.
Savanna held back the wind for a few more seconds then she fell in a sitting position, her entire stamina drained, and she was pale. It was probably the worst of the three of us. Luckily he didn't fall unconscious. I saw Helen running up to Savanna trying to get help.
Ha-has. And here I am. How many times in total have I been thrown here and there?
“Not bad.” Elsie flew closer breaking the silence. I just realized that my friends are watching this fight too. My head looked in all directions. Oh, my gosh. This sport is chaotic. Exercise tools mill around almost every corner. Inevitably, I glanced at Savanna. He's cool. His wind magic might be better than Mathias? I don't know, I don't see Mathias using that magic very often. But, I'm sure Savanna is very strong.
“Ah, I'm off guard. Sucks.” Erang Bodhi The man was already on the surface and he was soaking wet. He then examined our circumstances in turn. “You realize that in a precarious state, I must have used my ad magic, huh? That's why you guys cornered me, cocked me with water so that all my concentration was up and I automatically had to get rid of the water boy away.”
“And because of that, you didn't realize that another hole formed there.” Elsie giggled to see the disheveled look of Bodhi. “Not to mention, you got cornered in there. There's no choice but to stick yourself under. They can too. Rough, but not bad.”
Bodhi clapped his hands. He wanted to praise us, but he was actually very upset about being defeated by a first-year disciple. The man let out a long sigh, “It seems, one of you will be a prospective student of Alpha.” class
