“Your first patrol, right?” Zavier flew with his broom on my side across the Chilean sky while trying to find the topic of chatter. It's probably been more than five times that Zavier tried to melt the atmosphere between me and the other two Witch Security Forces who also patrol with me and Zavier.
I flinch not to answer. Looking at the cityscape down there attracted more of my attention than chatting with Zavier.
“Bancroft is already on a short trip with the community, Zavier. This is not his first patrol.” Reply to the members of the Witch Force who wear glasses with transparent white frames. The man spun a little in the sky ahead of me and Zavier then moved to the other side of Zavier. “Look at it, she is very confident.”
"Well, I'm not surprised, anyway.” Said Zavier nodding as if understanding.
“He's got Francis' side, right? That level of confidence belongs to Francis Bancroft.” It was Tedd who made me want to throw him straight into the Amazon jungle of the sky. I took pains to hold those emotions out even though I had to bite my inner cheek.
“You're right.” Sahut Zavier who is now even researching the look of my face from the side. Oh, dearGod.
“Two of you, focus.” Struggle Joseph from my side. Finally, someone stopped the unimportant chatter of Zavier and Tedd. “I heard something from radio.”
I want to not want to come see Joseph who was touching his ear trying to fix the position of the mini radio that he put in the ear. Hearing the reprimand, Zavier and Tedd suddenly focused. My gaze shifted from Joseph to Zavier and Tedd took turns waiting for further instructions. Yeah, because I'm the only one who doesn't
radioed.
“El Morro.” Joseph spoke almost simultaneously with Zavier and Tedd when mentioning one of the places in Chile. They immediately flew in at high speed, not bothering to drag me or perhaps threatening me in case I ran away if they just left me.
Or maybe not. They already knew I wouldn't run if something happened before our eyes. I'm so upset about my habits. I cursed myself as I flew through the Chilean night air following the three Witch's Royal Troops.
The way the three of them flew was truly amazing. They nimbly meandered in the air like they were doing a flying attraction with their brooms. Not to mention they were flying at full speed, how did they do that with such an incredible balance? I can do that because I don't need a broom to fly.
After painstakingly following the insane pace of Zavier, Tedd, and Joseph I was finally able to see where we were headed. An arid region in Chile with huge rocks resembling towering hills delimit the city and coastal areas. The flag of Chile fluttered over the hill amid the roar of the night wind.
On top of that hill I could see some goblins coming out and running around. It's like what I saw in Machu Piccu. The goblins were shouting words of freedom while circling and dancing like crazy.
“That's her target us.” Joseph announced. We flew up a few meters from the rock hill trying to keep our existence hidden, unknown to the goblins.
“Yeah, why lately goblins often try to escape?” Zavier.
“The warden seems to have to be taught a lesson.” Tedd muttered instantly looking excited. Though from earlier he only cared about unclear patrols and wanted to return to the post without having to fight and sweat.
“The goblins were agile, some of them could secrete mucus like an acidic liquid.
Careful.” Joseph's advice examined us one by one. I see, Joseph actually just wanted to commemorate me. Zavier and Tedd need not be given advice like beginners.
Zavier and Tedd held the broom tightly to the point that I could see their veins poking out onto the surface of the skin. Seeing this burning spirit somehow I became excited. I positioned myself at the end of the line, by Joseph's side. My gaze was fixed on the nine free goblins with focus.
“Forward.” Joseph gave the order in his usual tone of voice. Not as loud as Silas when we hunted goblins at Machu Piccu. But, with just that short order, Zavier and Tedd sped at incredible speed towards the top of the hill. I tailed behind the forwards no less quickly than them.
First I saw Zavier darting so fast that I couldn't see the man's movements at all. I had to hold myself back from opening my mouth with a big O shape so amazed. Zavier has a super speed magic talent. In fact, there is magic that can make ourselves twice as fast, twice as strong, twice as sharp, but it can be a massive drain and there's a time limit until your speed gets back to it. Unless it was the magicians who were endowed with the talent of speed.
Tedd chuckled at the gawking expression I showed. I must look stupid. Tedd stretched his arms first then he also darted forward. I shook my head quickly trying to throw away my stupid attitude and flew after them.
I focused my gaze on the situation on the hill, occasionally I also followed the movements of Tedd who also flew agile without acceleration magic.
Wush!
I gawk. My movements stopped too. What the fuck?
Unbelievable. Tedd who was originally flying in front of me, suddenly his body evaporated slowly into smoke and his existence vanished in the middle of the night sky.How could I not be surprised to see it in front of my own head?
“Focus, Bancroft!” joseph's screams spread my shock at Tedd's body changes. He flew across me and swooped towards the battle then shot out a huge fireball.
Is correct. This is not the time I was even flabbergasted to see the magic power of the Witch Security Force. It was appropriate that they had magic of this magnitude. I hate this duty, but I still have to obey it.
After regaining my consciousness, I rushed into the fight. I flew through the thick smoke that appeared due to the explosion of the fireball sent by Joseph. Two goblins sprawled a little
gosong, Joseph floated not far from them while researching the two.
I checked the surroundings, about five goblins still running around looking panicked. Tedd's nowhere, rather I can't see the guy at all. Likewise with Zavier who may be darting out of nowhere.
“Catch them, Mathias. Take out your magic.” Joseph did not move a single inch from his place.
I flew slowly over the five goblins who were planning something while running away from me or Joseph. It's too quiet. Where are Tedd and Zavier? Shouldn't they be helping to catch these goblins? Before the raid, I clearly saw that there were nine goblins that had escaped. Two have been knocked out by Joseph and five are in front of my eyes. Then, Zavier or Tedd only has the remaining two?
And again, Joseph's shot was huge. It was impossible if only two goblins fell.
“Quick, Mathias! Don't let them attack you!” joseph snatched from his place. There was an urgent tone from Joseph's exclamation. I see, I should have ended the hunt tonight quickly, before it became a boomerang for myself. But, this is weird.
One thought came to my brain. An answer. Why don't I think there?
I flew a few meters higher until the goblin resembled a dot in my eye. Then, I swooped down at high speed. My face was pulled back and my tears also slowly appeared in the corner of my eyes so fast I darted.
I could see the whole hill. Joseph was still in his place holding two goblins while watching me. The five goblins that were my targets were still discussing while running in a hurry looking for a way down from the hill in addition to jumping.
After getting close enough, I swung my right arm like I was waving a fly into empty air.
WOOSH!
The huge wind I summoned with my elemental magic appeared dispelling all that was in front of him. I heard the shrieks of goblins that were crashing in all directions simultaneously except for one goblin that managed to survive. The goblin slept face down as if he could hug his ground, but he managed to dodge from the gust of wind I sent.
In a moment, I will have to take care of the four goblins that were thrown off my magic first. Quickly, I researched the surroundings. Two goblins were screaming as it fell from the hill while the other was rolling on the ground. I sent a small wind round towards the two goblins that were plunging so they were flown back towards me.
Without wasting much more time, I pushed the other two goblins that hit the rocks in the same direction. The five goblins I had gathered were grimacing in pain. Not to forget they also threw curses and swearing at me which easily separated the five of them together. I thought they would just attack me, but they didn't. They even stroked the parts of their bodies that were bonyok because of the impact. In fact, the two goblins that were about to die from freefall were gawking with blank gazes.
“I've caught them. Then, what?” I asked half-screaming as I turned towards Joseph who was standing not far from where I gathered these goblins.
“Don't be happy, son. We're not going back to that stinky prison.” Hit one of the goblins. His voice was deep and deep. I turned around and found the goblin who had not crashed everywhere got up while preparing with his strange horses.
What's he want? Was he among the goblins that could spit out that mucus?
Just in case, I again floated a few meters above the goblins I caught. It seemed that they had all recovered from the shock and panic as they were suddenly excited. I just reply to him flatly.
I clenched my hands and gathered my wind magic there. A wind started to show in my fist. The longer the bigger. The goblin looked a little wary of my movements. He almost chose to run away before one of them seemed to convince the rest and ordered to retaliate against me.
The big wind made my fist a little heavy. I raised it slowly while smiling a little. The faces of the goblins suddenly pale. I don't know what they planned before, but now they prefer to be quiet and slowly run away.
“Where are you guys?” I said with a voice that could defeat the roar of the wind. It turned out that fighting using my elemental magic was quite fun. I don't really want to use this talent to be honest. It just sucks to fight with the same talent as Dad.
I adjusted my position so that I was right hovering above them.
BOOM UP!
The high wind pressure fist I finally let go and hit the goblins. I faintly listened to the screams of goblins who had truly resignedly accepted the situation they were in. My wind ended thirty seconds later. My vision was blurred because of the flying sand.
“Soever?” tedd's voice rang out in my ears. Then, Tedd's figure slowly appeared solid from the tip of his foot to the head. He checked on me for a moment and then inched closer to the goblins. I'm glaring. A rough hole formed there that I was completely unaware of. I made a hole in the rock? Wow, great too. In it, the five goblins lay unconscious with a very, very unkind appearance.
“Where have you been?” I told him I was upset.
Ted turned his eyes on me. “You didn't use your rare magic? Wh why? It's too easy for you?”
I've guessed. They did deliberately make me clean up these goblins because they wanted to see for themselves my natural magic talent. Is this how they judge my abilities? You know, this makes me even more arrogant. The more they want me to cast that magic, the more I don't want to take it out. You can call me a wayward, but it sucks.
“Lumayan.” Zavier suddenly appears while carrying two goblins in his right and left hands. He took a quick glance before nodding and throwing the two goblins he had brought to the ground.
“It looks like that was too easy.” Now Joseph is telling. The man also approached. “Saking is easy to the point that Mathias Bancroft prefers to solve this all with his weak elemental magic.”
Ha-has.
Thanks for the insinuation.
