Losing Us

Losing Us
Sudden Attack

After spending time lamenting Arsenio's unpredictable attitude changes altogether—persis mood of women who are coming in month—Anara finally complied with the man's request to cook dinner. And because she was lazy if she had to go out to buy groceries, Anara also ended up just cooking with food ingredients available in the refrigerator.

Not many. Ala. Just a bowl of mustard chives with extra chopped garlic, a large plate of egg tomatoes, a few slices of vegetable buds and a small bowl of ground sambal. Whatever. Anara did not care much whether the food menu was in accordance with Arsenio's taste or not. Because, didn't the man himself say it was up to Anara to cook what?

After cooking and washing all the dirty equipment from the battle, Anara went up to the room. The sweat that soaked his entire body and face had presented an unpleasant scent that was uncomfortable to inhale even by his own nose. So, Anara decided to take a shower immediately.

Before entering the bathroom, Anara first took a change of clothes. It has been a habit since a long time ago. Because she was reluctant to get out of the bathroom just by wearing a regular towel or bathrob, Anara always prepared a change of clothes and took her into the bathroom.

Not yet had time Anara put dirty clothes into the washing machine to make only a few clothes left in the closet. His sleeping suit which amounted to 6 pairs was all in the basket of dirty clothes, even with casual clothes that he used to wear for a substitute for sleepwear.

That led to not many choices Anara could make. The girl ended up picking up one black body-fitting T-shirt and one over-the-knee shorts. Relax, it will not look sexy at all because in addition to the thin body notched flattened (according to Anara himself), the shorts are also loose, too, not a typical body fit like the jerseys he chose before.

The matter of the change of clothes had been solved, Anara rushed into the bathroom. One by one she undressed, then the shower was turned on. Instead of cold, the water that flows from there actually feels warm. Good news, because it will be surprising for a body that sweats if it comes into direct contact with cold water.

Washing her whole body from head to toes, Anara hummed softly. The songs were random, jumping from one title to another seamlessly without a hitch. Either just him, or some people do too, but Anara does tend to just sing certain verses of a song—even though she actually memorizes the entire lyrics.

The private concert that took place during the shower ended when Anara's shower turned off, and she moved to take a towel to dry the entire body. Fresh, of course. No more sticky and annoying body odor. Now his body is full of the smell of sweet rose-scented soap.

Quickly Anara changed clothes, then wrapped a special towel head to absorb the remnants of water in the hair she was shampooing. Then, she walked towards the dressing table and immediately turned on the hair dryer to dry her hair.

Usually, if you are not in a hurry to go somewhere, Anara will let her wet hair dry by itself. Mama said, hair will cry if too often exposed to hair dryer, so she was reluctant to use it as often.

Nevertheless, even though this time Anara was also not in a hurry to go anywhere, she still chose to dry it using the help of a hair dryer because after this, she wanted to break down. Just rest your back and waist that feels sore because it is struggling with the cooking agenda in a long time.

At 6 in less than 15 minutes, Anara finished. The hair dryer he turned off and he put it back in place, then he moved towards the bed. But unfortunately, when Anara will just land the buttocks into a comfortable soft bed, the sound of the roar of the car from outside.

Anara thought it was Arsenio, and she would not intend to open the door of—because yes to what she welcomed the man. However, when Anara realized that the roar of the car was not followed by the sound of the gate opening, she knew it was not Arsenio's car.

Sure enough, shortly after the sound of the car disappeared, the bell at the front door rang. Anara rushed down to open the door.

Turns out, it was Mother. Well, his arrival was not at all strange. She has been to this house several times on weekends like now. But the question for Anara is, the presence of a large enough tote bag that comes along with the woman.

Usually, when he comes to visit, his in-laws at most only carry a small handbag that only fits for wallets and cellphones. Sometimes he also likes to bring fruits or cakes that he makes with his own hands. But, tote bags....

“Hai, An.”

The greeting threw Anara out of all analysis. He can only offer a sweet smile and return your embrace.

“Arsen there?” ask Mother after releasing her embrace.

“Again, Bun. Back home, kok.” This time, no lie. Arsenio said she would be home before dinner. So Anara can be a little calmer and doesn't have to find time to call Arsenio to come home in secret.

“Where to go? Does he feel like he goes every weekend? Almost never at home when Mommy comes.”

Ke Olin's. “Ke counter clock, Bun. Clock he's broken, want to be cleared.” Haha. So great idea Anara looking for an excuse. But, yes, let it go. That was all he thought of in his head at the moment.

“Hour him a lot, why defend to the counter for real on weekends, anyway?”

“Wah, less know, Bun.” Anara is riding a horse. In order not to become more so, this mother-in-law must be immediately given distraction. Anara then blatantly grabbed her arm, bringing her inside the house.

“Omong-by the way, Mommy tumben bring a bag?” asked Anara while glancing towards the tote bag from earlier seized her attention.

“Oh, this is a change of clothes.” Even with pride, Mommy shows the tote bag up to the chest level.

“Shirt replace?”

Mother nodded in spirit. “Download to nginep, a week.”

Doengggg. Dizziness. Giddy. Heat. Everything comes together as one. He would faint if he could.

“Nginep, yes?”

“Iya. Can, dong?”

“Hehe..” Anara laughed awkwardly while scratching her neck. “Yaa .. can, anyway, Bun.”

Anara's hesitant answer invited a suspicious look from Mother. “Bby, anyway, but?” toodong.

But where do you want to sleep? The guest room was An....

...🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀...

“Hah?!!”

The sound of Arsenio blaring like lightning in broad daylight makes Anara have to keep the phone away from the ear. The buzz left behind was still left for a few seconds after he took a pause to not respond to his screams.

“Lo serious?”

Anara turned the eyeball lazily, even though she knew Arsenio could not see it. “You think I have time to make jokes like gini?” he said turn the question around. Occasionally, he still tilts his head to check the situation where Mother is now sitting in a henchman on the sofa of the living room while watching television. The carrying case belonged to the woman he had stored in the guest room with the reason that the room needs to be cleaned first before being used to sleep later tonight.

“Go home, deh. I'm confused about what to do.”

“Bawels. I reached the front gate of the complex. Anyway lo alihanin first aja attention Bunda.”

“Buruan.”

“Iya, Anara. Don't take it, I'm also the head of lo.”

Oh, there's no soft-spoken man. Super duper sucks.

Anara did not answer and immediately turned off the phone. After that, he walked over to Mother while setting a fake smile to convince Mother that everything was fine. Let's play again, and see what steps Arsenio will take this time.

“Udah where is he, An?” ask Mommy even before Anara joins sitting on the sofa.

“Udah to complex gate, Bun.” Anara answered honestly.

Mommy just nodded, then they engaged in a pleasantry conversation for a while before finally the sound of a car roar was heard entering the yard.

Anara rose again, eager to be a good wife, who welcomed her husband home with their smile as the sun in the morning. Though it is clear the real motive is to make a plan with Arsenio for the survival of both of them.

“Day wait here aja, do not go anywhere.” Anara said, then ran as fast as lightning towards the front door.

Just when Anara arrived, the door was opened from the outside. Arsenio appeared with an ordinary facial expression, there was no panic—paniknya at all even though on the phone earlier sounded excited itself.

“We have to what?” todong Anara direct. No. He let Arsenio waste too much time.

“At least I'll make a breath first.”

“You already. From earlier, you've been breathing.” Anara knew it was just a term, but the term was so useless again in the crucial moments like now. “Buruan, we should what?”

Anara heard Arsenio snort loudly, followed by a change in the look on her face that illustrated how much her current attitude was teasing the man. However, Anara did not have time to pay attention to that. What step they should take now determines their lives in the future, so it should not be a waste of time.

“Arsenio,”

“Lo noisy, An, kayak duck.” Cut Arsenio while moving her hand like she was mimicking a babbling duck snout.

Anara. Is that how he is likened to a duck?

“Lo's room is locked?” arsenio asked a few seconds later, ignoring the change in Anara's expression at all.

“I key.”

Then, Arsenio raised a hand. “Which is the key, I want to enter.”

“You what?” ask Anara suspiciously.

“Not to think strangely. I want to move your clothes to my room, so Mother can sleep in your room later tonight without suspecting.”

Makes sense. But, why isn't Anara the only one to clear things up? Why did Arsenio leave?

Like being able to read minds, or maybe the question was drawn too clearly through the look on Anara's face, Arsenio quickly replied, “Because lo slow.” Short, dense, painful. Oh, yeah, of course. Anara should not forget that Arsenio's tongue is indeed a lot of whispers. POISONOUS!

Feeling no choice, Anara handed over the key to the room she was holding to Arsenio. Then without saying much, the man left himself, hurried to carry out the task.

“Arsenio Ngeselin Galandra.” Anara said, before finally closing and locking the front door and then leaving after Arsenio.
