“You really can't get here?”
With a heavy heart, Arsenio replied, “No way, Lin. Mommy wants to come here today, so I can't go anywhere.”
A disappointed bellow sounded from across, but Arsenio could do nothing. This is not his will either. If given a choice, he would obviously be happy to spend time with Olin in her apartment rather than having to stay in the same house as Anara. The interaction that happened between them since last night meant nothing to Arsenio, because to be honest, he did it all just for the sake of Mommy. So that the woman who gave birth to him was not disappointed.
When Mommy visited a week ago, with her eyes, she asked Arsenio for help to at least not be bad towards Anara. Because he said, only they—Arsenio and Bunda—the woman had now, and it was fitting that they take care of Anara as they should.
Arsenio did not have the heart to refuse Mother's request, especially when the woman even said, “It's okay if you still can't leave Olin, Mother knows. But at the very least, please don't hurt Anara.” That makes Arsenio's heart like it's just been split in two.
Yes, Mother knows everything. Arsenio's relationship with Olin that has been going on for a long time is not they do secretly from Mother and both parents Olin. They openly show a relationship, although Olin's side is clearly strongly opposed because Arsenio is considered not worth marrying their perfect daughter.
Mother herself never forbade, but the woman always reminded her son that being accepted in the family of the couple is something important. So for many years together, Mother only always reminded Arsenio about the possibilities of what she would face if she remained desperate to marry Olin someday.
“Your mother will be there all day? What about tonight? Can't stay?” presumably, Olin was still hopeful.
Arsenio did, actually. He also hoped that Mommy would not come so that he could go to see Olin to hold her tighter, instead because last week Arsenio had to leave in a hurry because Anara called.
“Can't really, Gal?” tagih Olin again.
For the umpteenth time, Arsenio let out a low sigh. Olin is not typical that can be given false promises, so all Arsenio can say next is, “See later, yes. If you have the chance, I go straight to you.”
“If any chance.” Olin was heard muttering, then shortly after, a discordant laugh followed. “Then, we do not need to wait for a chance if just to meet.”
“Lin,”
“I know.” Olin interrupted. “I'm just sad because now I can't be that free with your same time. Natural, right?”
Excuse me. But Arsenio did not say it. Since he had promised, the apology would not come again.
“I to you.” The final of Arsenio. Mother said, it's okay if he still can't leave Olin, right? So, shouldn't he still be able to go there, as long as he doesn't do anything bad to Anara? “I'm there.” Repeat Arsenio, then he turned off the phone and rushed out of the room.
Arsenio was somewhat astonished when her footsteps reached the living room, but she did not find the whereabouts of Anara at all. Was the woman sitting in her room? Oh, not because he cares. Arsenio just wanted to make sure Anara wasn't making a mess in this house.
“Arsenio?”
As soon as he turned around, Arsenio found Anara walking from the direction of the central room. And when the woman was already within close proximity, Arsenio only realized that most of the clothes Anara was wearing were wet. Not just his clothes, but his hair and face.
“Lo done what?” arsenio asked, starting to get suspicious. According to his observations, Anara was careless, it was not impossible that the girl was making trouble right now. “Why get wet?”
Instead of quickly answering, Anara even grinned while paying attention to her own appearance. “So I ran out of flowers in the backyard.” He said later, pointing towards the backyard.
Arsenio knew this was stupid, but she was actually following the direction of the girl's index finger. Although not long after, he looked back at Anara with sharp eyes.
“Where is the flower sprinkled but instead drenched?”
“There. Here, I proof it.” And pointing to himself. The wide grunts that Anara was treating managed to make Arsenio growled. He wanted to make the little face of the girl stop showing such a stupid face.
“Any.” Cibir Arsenio's. He was about to turn around and try not to care, when then remember that Mother could have been on her way here. Clearly, Arsenio did not want Mommy to find Anara in such a state of chaos. Or he might be an easy target to accuse.
So, Arsenio undoes the intention to just pass by.
“Change clothes there, later catch wind.” Said the man sniffling. Arsenio hope, Anara's brain which is only as big as a coriander seed will not misinterpret her speech as a form of attention.
But as still unsure, Arsenio then continued, “Don't ge’er. I just don't want to diomelin Mommy.”
“Tahu.” Si Anara. His lips pouted. Maybe he thought it was funny, but for Arsenio it was not at all.
“If you already know, why is it still here? There go up, change clothes. I'm going to go first. Beware, do not mention the strange to Mother.” Threaten Arsenio while removing the index finger to the front of Anara's small face.
Instead of being afraid, the little girl even clucked while turning a lazy eyeball. “Quietly, I won't be that low for lamb mom with son.” Then, the girl nodded with her comfort.
Arsenio's overly lenient attitude towards Anara over the past few days seemed to have made the girl so big-headed. Because Arsenio still clearly remembered, when she first came here, Anara did not even dare to meet with him for quite a long time.
Ah, what was he thinking? Why would he care? As long as Anara's attitude didn't interfere with her relationship with Olin, why didn't she just ignore it? Not important.
“Ah, up.” Arsenio said as she flicked her hands into the air. Then, not wanting to waste any longer, he continued. Olin was waiting, so he had to hurry.
