LOVATY 1.0
Reminders

Arion releases all the burdens that are confined within him, being honest about his feelings. Usually, emotions released suddenly can trigger new problems. Especially if the interlocutor is a person who often fights. Fortunately, not this time. The first time the woman seemed to hold back from directly expressing her opinion straightforwardly.

Calya was silent for a while. Either he is sorting out the appropriate vocabulary or weighing whether his current thoughts are worth speaking. But after a while passed, the woman decided to remain herself. “Then? Are you going to use that excuse to run again?”

Now it was Arion's turn to be silent. His mind was still focused on the past, where he began to feel regret and the words Calya said just now added another regret in him. Regrets about how he never really tried to get out of his suffering, but instead avoided being afraid of getting hurt. But on the other hand, these words may be a reminder that he does not repeat the same mistakes and re-create other regrets.

...***...

“So? Any issues you want to discuss?” calya asked as soon as the main agenda of the meeting was finished discussed. Everyone in the meeting room looked at each other, looking for a face that wanted to talk.

“The size of the problem is better discussed together here, so that all team members know and can give each other input.” explained the team leader as long as no one has spoken. “Whatever your difficulty, if it is related to work you can discuss. Don't wait until the problem arises. The sooner you discuss it can even help prevent big problems from happening.” he added. There was still not a single person who started talking, only their eyes were busy trying to read each other's facial features.

“Alright if there is none, we end here.” Calya packed up some of her files and left. Just before the woman started to step, the voice of someone stopped her. “I.. want to talk, mba.” Wikan looked very nervous about saying those words. There was clearly doubt in his tone, either about what he wanted to say or because of the place where he was saying it at the moment. The nervousness multiplied with all the pairs of eyes now pointing at him, making his mouth even harder to speak.

Doubtfully the young man began to speak, explaining the situation he had been in not too long ago. Exactly a few days ago when their contractor sent him a message.

‘Do you have time? Anyone I want to talk to.’

With that one message Wikan took his time specifically to meet with the contractor. At one of the suburban bars where they met at the time, many middle-aged men were looking for fun in every corner of the room.

The two men sat together at a table, beginning with a formal greeting and continuing into casual conversation. Several tens of minutes passed and they were still talking about things outside of work. There was confusion in Wikan's mind. As an inexperienced apprentice, he began to question the intent of their meeting. But the spirit of wanting to give the best performance in the work to hold him to ask, the man is still trying to be patient and follow the flow of conversation from the contractor.

“You have a good personality, Wikan. I am sure you will be successful in this field someday.” praise the contractor.

Wikan smiled in embarrassment at the compliment. In his heart he also hoped that the words would come true. Thinking that he was now known not only as an apprentice, instantly increased his spirit. But it also lowered his focus on figuring out the true intentions of their meeting that day. Wikan has been lulled in those words of flattery.

“Very nice talking to you, Wikan. I think we will not have any communication problems in the future, it would be great if we could work together for a long time,” said the man.

“I hope so too, Sir.”

“But I know, you can do more than hope. Our cooperation will be very profitable, I can guarantee it.”

The man casually thrust the brown envelope towards Wikan. Smile with confidence. He was very confident that his trick would not fail. While Wikan was glued to his seat. It took some time for him to understand the situation he was going through right now. That this meeting was not what he thought, that all the praise was just a sweet word, that he had been trapped in a dangerous situation.

“Okay,” said Calya, she was silent for a while before she started talking again.

“Once again I remind everyone. Our work requires us to connect well with many people from various fields. But only job. So it is only about work and at work hours we are required to get in touch with them. Because we are paid by the company, so only the rules and codes of ethics in the company that we must obey. Not rules or even orders from outsiders. That is the value that you should always hold while still working here.”

Silence for a moment until the woman again asked, “There's more to say?”

There was no audible response to the question until Calya finally completely ended their meeting and stepped away.

...***...

Wikan has looked listless since the department meeting was over. The man was silent without a sound, until his two apprentices took the initiative to invite him to lunch with the intention to cheer him up.

“Haahhh...” somehow for how many times a heavy breath came out of his mouth.

“Relax Wikan, take the silver. You’ve been telling the truth, the rest stay handover to mba Calya,” entertain Davidya initially “although the results could have been bad.” he added skeptically.

“Perhaps miss calya won’t be that cruel.” connect Rana

“But what I heard, he once got rid of a sub contractor who was trying to do a bribe. So, if he can get rid of sub kon as easily as that, it's possible.”.

The two girls carefully looked towards Wikan.

“You two really. Are you sure you invited me here to cheer me up, or is this our farewell lunch?” This man looks more stressed now thanks to the words of the entertainer of the two girls.

“That's the past, we all know how wise our leader is.” Rana tries to encourage Wikan.

“Although he is very very firm, but he will definitely judge this situation wisely.

The two girls looked at their friend seriously. “You didn't take it, did you?” say them simultaneously.

“Are you kidding me?” wikan was getting frustrated.
