Chapter 212 the new CEO
A week passed, but Dina had not given any answer to her future father-in-law. Dina has resigned whatever decision his parents will do.
Early in the morning, Dina had already called Vanya to leave early because there was a sudden meeting in the company. Dina is a little confused usually whatever meeting she is the first person to know, but this time the opposite, her boss who knows before her.
Dina left early for the office to prepare for all the meeting needs this morning. He was only told there would be a board meeting with shareholders. I don't know if Dina wasn't told the details.
At about half-morning, all those invited to the meeting were present. He sat next to Vanya. However, there is one empty seat that is still uninhabited. The seat was reserved for his future father-in-law as the largest shareholder in Wijaya Group.
Suddenly the door was knocked on and an OB carried one extra seat and placed next to Yanuar's seat. Dina frowned, she did not know what the max was to add the chair.
Ten minutes passed, the sound of footsteps entering the meeting room. The door opened, everyone stared at the door and it turned out that Yanuar came but he did not come alone, there was Toni who followed him from behind.
Dina rounded her eyes, she felt today Tonu looked different, wearing a formal suit that she rarely wears while working. Yanuar sat down on the chair and Toni sat next to him.
"sorry I'm a little late" said Yanuar looking very dignified
"we're straight to the point...." Yanuar paused his remarks "as you know, the last few days Vanya my eldest daughter while filling the position of CEO in Wijaya group"
Dina's heart beat faster, she knew where her future-in-law's talk was going. But he kept trying to calm down.
"today, I announced that the CEO position would be occupied by my son Toni Wijaya" Toni stood up from her seat, staring at Dina who looked very upset.
Everyone present at the meeting applauded the announcement. Toni bent her body "I'm still new here, so please cooperate" said Toni looks authoritative like her papa.
"and to help smooth out the new CEO's duties, he will be helped by his fiancee as his assistant" the meeting room suddenly boisterous with voices present at the meeting. They wonder who their new CEO fiancee is.
Dina was bowed, so far not many know if Dina is Toni's fiancee. All they know is he's just friends with Toni.
"Dina you come here." said Yanuar, Dina stood up and walked closer to Yanuar "introduce, Dina who you know as Vanya's assistant is Toni's fiance who will help her take care of this company" yanuar said with a proud face.
The introductory meeting was over. Yanuar asked her two children and Dina to go to her room. Dina walked with mixed thoughts.
He deliberately walked the back, while Toni walked along with her papa in front. Not a single word came out of their mulit until they finally entered the Yanuar room.
The room he used to occupy now he will leave everything to Toni. There is no reason to be in the office anymore. He still works but from home.
"you must be confused" Yanuar looked at Dina "i've asked both of your parents to hasten your marriage, but they refused, so...." Yanuar paused his speech staring at Dina's face deeply as if Dina didn't like her decision so much "I took the decision to choose the second option"
"how about Vanya's leg?" Dina looked at Vanya
"don't tell me, you know I don't like to work too seriously, I already have a boutique and a beauty salon that's enough for me, and again...my plan to vacation around Indonesia was delayed" said Vanya annoyed when calling Toni as the cause of her ending up in the office.
"yes already..if it's papa's decision" said Dina lirih while bowed.
"sad...you don't like working with me?" Toni approached Dina
"that's not it. I'm just afraid I can't work professionally" Dina looked at Toni.
"we've done it before, so I'm sure you already know what he's doing" Toni said, staring at his fiancee
"all is clear.papa wants to go home first..." Yanuar got up from his seat and left the room.
"i also.. my plane in two hours.ah...ah fun finally I can take a vacation..thank you my sister dear...because you papa gave me the gift of vacation as much as possible..." Vanya develops her smile then she leaves the couple.
Dina also moved from her seat also "where do you want?" Toni blocks Dina's hand
"sorry boss, I have to go back to work" said Dina cool.
Toni just sighed and then she let go of the check. He knew he was guilty, he could do nothing but wait for Dina's emotions to subside.
Dina walked out leaving Toni staring at Dina's back. He rubbed his face rough, because he let the caterpillars that will stick to him, his relationship with Dina back tenuous when their marriage is only three months away.
