Chapter 49 Yellow gift
Toni opened the door of her house, then they both went inside the house. Roy headed straight to the dining room, mbok Nah just bobbing his head to see Roy's behavior.
"take it, I'm hungry" said Roy casually then he pulled the dining chair
"mas Roy's.... This hour is hungry" said mbok Nah take a plate for Roy. Roy opens the food hood at the dinner table and picks up food.
While Toni goes into her room, she searches for a gift box for Dina but does not find it. Then he went down and looked for mbok Nah.
"pull...pull....take...." cried Toni from the stairs.
"iya mas.." mbok Nah rushed to Toni.
"look at the yellow box with the ribbon?" tanya Toni while walking to the dining room
"save the mas.tadi left behind at the dining table, take a moment mbok take first.." said mbok Nah.
Toni approached Roy who was busy eating, then he pulled a chair and sat down opposite Roy who was eating.
"so, how do you get back at Bian?" roy asked as he put food into his mouth
"i'll follow her game, I'll follow her will." Toni said with a look of anger.
"lantas Dina's?" Roy put down his spoon
"for a while I'll stay away from him, but I'll keep an eye on him from afar" Toni said in a sad tone
Mbok Nah walked on and approached Toni who was chatting with Roy
"It's mas.." mbok Nah handed the city the yellow color to Toni
"thank you, I went back to school first" said Toni then she moved from her seat and jammed out followed by Roy who had finished his meal.
Toni followed the lesson with a heart that returned unsettled, she remembered Dina who was angry with her. The fear of Dina moving away from him re-entered her into her heart and mind.
Toni thought, by the time she had fully realized all her mistakes towards Dina, it was too late. By the time Dina had started to talk to him again, unexpected events had happened.
Toni's thoughts drift between Dina and how to reply to Bian without him having to keep his distance from Dina. The more he thought, the more afraid he was of everything not as he expected.
The school-going hours felt really long for Toni. He wanted to see Dina back to give her chocolate as a sign of his apology.
He deliberately waited when he came home from school because he did not want Bian to know if he and Dina were not okay. The bell has rung but the teacher who taught has not yet ended the lesson.
Toni is upset, she is afraid that Dina has gone home first. Five minutes felt like hours to Toni. Finally the teacher who taught at the last hour finished his lesson.
Toni rushed up from her seat, she could not wait for her to walk straight to the classroom door leaving Roy. In a hurry to get out of class, he accidentally shot someone in front of his class.
Toni stared at the person she hit "sorry Din".
"where you? how come you're not going home, Din?" ask Toni
"yes I've come home first then, if you need anything just stop by the house "say Toni with a smile expands "this for you" Toni handed me a neatly wrapped package with yellow paper on which I Love You Dina .
"thank you Ton "Dina picked up the package given by Toni and walked back towards the studio. Toni just looked at Dina's back who was walking away from her with a look of regret.
Toni stood in front of her class, making sure Dina really got into the studio. After Dina was no longer seen Toni walking towards the front of the school gate.
"Toni...!" roy yelled "wait...!"
Toni stopped and looked back, waiting for Roy who was walking towards her.
"already? just so?" roy asked with an incredulous face
"what?" Toni frowned then walked back
"that's...Dina.." said Roy while juxtaposing his steps
"what can I do again Roy, besides keeping his distance from him" Toni said flatly. Roy just silently followed Toni's steps. The two of them split up in the parking lot, as Roy's motorbike was parked in the school parking lot.
Toni walked home, now she just had to wait, what would Bian do. He will follow all Bian's games. He wants to repay Bian by hurting his sister.
Toni enters his yard, surprised that his mother's car is parked in the yard. As he remembered his mother was on her way out of town.
Toni did not want to take a headache, he went into the house and went straight into his room. While passing through his mother's room he overheard a debate between his mother and his father.
For Toni it was common, her father wanted her mother to stop working, while her mother always wanted her father to follow in his footsteps to become a politician.
Toni immediately went into her room, she even looked at her picture with Dina on the wall of her room. Toni put her picture back on display with Dina, after she realized that what she had accused Dina was wrong.
Toni tried to connect with a girl friend during Elementary School first, but it turns out that the girl only uses Toni. He felt there was no tang like Dina. But since he was still in Bian's shadow, Toni simply ignored the feeling.
And now, Toni realizes that of the few girls she has ever been close to, Dina is the best. He could only lament his stupidity while looking at the photo of Dina.
