Misunderstand

The long-awaited day arrives, and a simple engagement between Ethan and Clara has just begun. After the words of greeting from each family, it is now the turn to exchange rings for the two couples.

In one corner, Arlan looked at the couple with smiling lips but not with his eyes implying sadness. Arlan couldn't cover up if she was so hurt to see her two best friends get engaged.

“But even if it doesn't happen, I can't necessarily have Clara” Arlan said in his heart.

The diamond ring was on his second finger. Gavin asks them to show their rings to all the families present. No one could guess how the new couple's heart would be. If usually a couple who just got engaged will be so happy but not with them. Both Clara and Ethan look mediocre. Vania anxiously asked them to hug. He also asks Ethan to kiss Clara on the forehead just like he did a few days ago.

Seeing Ethan kiss Clara's forehead makes Arlan's feelings even more erratic. He chose to place the food to pick up the cake and also a cold drink to refresh his heart and mind.

“What brother still loves my brother?” ask Chila who is currently following Arlan to the place to eat. Arlan did not reply, all he did was smile while stroking Chila's hair affectionately.

A month has passed.

The relationship between Clara and Ethan is not progressing. They are not like lovers in general. No hugs let alone kisses except during the engagement party. Fighting is still every day, there is no day without debate.

Clara and Ethan are currently at the prewedding shooting location of one of their artists. The artist couple seemed to love each other so much. The shooting process became easy because both of them were not shy at all.

Clara compared herself to the couple. How will he be if he does prewedding like that? It's gonna be so stiff. People who marry because they love each other will be different from those who marry because they are betrothed like him. Although there are those who fall in love immediately but may be counted in number.

“Why worry about it like that? You want our prewedding like that too?” Ethan accidentally teases Clara. All day they have not had a fight because of their respective activities. So it feels like the day is not complete if it has not tempted Clara. 

Clara shook her head.

“No, I just make sure the shooting is in accordance with the concept” Clara told a lie.

“Yaya” replied Ethan. “I want to go to the office first take the file, what do you want to come wait here?” ask Ethan anyway.

“I'm here” replied Clara because indeed she still wants to make sure everything runs smoothly.

“Yes already, I went first” saying Ethan and Clara nodded her head. There was really no progress in their relationship. Ethan should have stroked Clara's hair or maybe kissed Clara's head before leaving the location. This was even more like a person who was not close friends.

Ethan has arrived at his office, from afar he sees Chila and Arlan talking something out of what it is. Chila seemed to be crying.

“Chila why yes?” inner Ethan was curious. Although curious he then chose to take his files in the room.

After talking to Chila, Arlan decides to catch up with Clara on the set. He also met with the director and several artists who will be involved in his new project.

Arlan drove his car at a moderate speed of up to 35 minutes then he finally reached the location. Clara looked dreamy, I don't know what she was thinking.

“Why?” arlan asked as she was already sitting next to Clara.

Arlan nodded and left Clara pensive.

Someone brought the file that Ethan was supposed to get.

“Lho why did you bring? sir Samuel where?” ask Clara.

“So I saw Mr. Samuel was with the woman Mom, if it's not wrong it's the sister of Bu Clara” replied the person.

Clara nodded her head and let the man resume his work.

"So Ethan went with Chila? Why didn't he tell me?" murmured Clara slowly.

"Do I go home alone?".

Clara sighed towards the cafe that was right across from the shooting location.

While waiting for his order to arrive somehow Clara suddenly became sad. Clara herself did not know why she became like this.

Almost an hour Clara was in the cafe, the ice cream she ordered had even melted.

Arlan who was looking for the whereabouts of Clara finally found where Clara was when asking the staff at the shooting location.

"It turns out you're here" Arlan said and sat down in front of Clara.

"Why you?" arlan asked worriedly because she saw Clara crying.

Arlan got up from his seat and chose to sit next to Clara.

He rubbed Clara's head which kept wiping away her tears.

"Why am I not being betrothed to you? Why should he? Why not with you?" clara said with a sob.

Ethan, who had just entered the cafe, heard what Clara said.

Ethan clenched his hand. His handbooks are very white.

Ethan came out of the cafe feeling very angry.

"So unhappy with me that he said that? I had a hard time accepting her to be my future wife but she was like that. Oye... Who are you???" mutter Ethan while kicking his own car tire.
