As the best friend of Gavin, Brin of course conveyed the news he heard to his best friend. Gavin is still in hospital until his condition is fully restored.

Brin was sitting on the chair next to Gavin's bed. Gavin did not lie down but instead chose to sit leaning on the head of the bed.

"What's Brin? Is there something on my son?" gavin asked with a worried tone. Gavin knows that Brin is so busy that he believes there must be something if his best friend can come at this early time.

"No, Clara's fine. It's just that there's something you need to know" Brin explained.

Gavin nodded his head asking Brin to continue his story.

"You've been too hard on Clara this whole time" Brin continued.

"Yes you're right, I'm sorry. I just want her to be a strong woman" Gavin said regretting his actions.

"It's your fault you only treated it to Clara while Chila didn't".

"That's because Chila isn't as strong as Clara. He is spoiled and his ability to adapt is unlike Clara's. Chila wouldn't be able to if I treated her like Clara" Gavin was so sorry.

"I can't say anything because it happened. But because of your unscrupulous treatment, Clara didn't want to have more than one child. She doesn't want to be fair to her children".

Gavin. Feeling too sorry for Clara even made her wrong in acting. Gavin doesn't want Clara to go wrong until she always wants the best for her daughter.

Losing his wife by his side makes Gavin unable to share and do everything based on his wishes alone.

Moreover, Clara is so similar to her mother that makes Gavin more overprotective on the eldest daughter.

"What should I do Brin?" Gavin doesn't know what to do.

"What's? Who is that guy? It's only fitting that Clara ever asked me that" Gavin became furious.

"He's Veronica, the former butler of your house" Brin replied.

Venonica had long stopped working at Gavin's residence and moved abroad.

"What's? Why would he do that?" Gavin didn't think his wife's confidant could do that.

"You don't know? He liked you a long time ago. How do you not feel that it is strange that a well-educated woman chooses to be a butler? Though he could work in an office" Brin felt that Gavin was too insensitive. It was only fitting that he did not realize that all this time had been unfair to his daughter.

Gavin was surprised to hear Brin's reply.

"Why haven't you told me for so long. If you know I'll fire him first" demanded Gavin.

"I didn't expect him to say that to Clara. I think she's just going to the stage of separating you from your wife. Because if that was all I would never worry. I know that you love Larissa so much. So you won't be tempted by other women including Veronica" Brin explained.

Gavin breathed a heavy sigh.

Gavin only realized that Veronica had often tried to get close to him but Gavin did not think that Veronica had such evil intentions. Perhaps because he did not manage to get close to Gavin even though Larissa was dead, Veronica gave up and went abroad.

"Brin, is it possible that Larissa died because of Veronica?" Gavin has bad thoughts about the former butler in his house.
