My Husband's Love Is Not For Me

My Husband's Love Is Not For Me
11. Testamentary

Nathan just got out of a minimarket after buying a bottle of drink. The man ran in hasty steps to break through the rain that was starting to fall.

"Aish! Why is it raining like this?" nathan muttered after getting into the car.

The man cleaned his clothes from the rain. Then immediately wet his dry throat before wearing a seatbelt to continue his journey. Not yet turned on the engine, Nathan had caught the figure of Oddie who walked right in front of his car. Troubledly put his bag over his head to protect himself from the rain that fell increasingly heavy. But as quickly as Oddie walked, still most of his clothes had to get wet. He's a limp.

"It is well known that there are only two seasons in the country. Why not bring an umbrella? You idiot!" grouch Nathan.

The man threw his face away. Not interested in giving a ride even though it is raining heavily. Nathan's car engine's on. Sliding past Oddie just like that no matter how Oddie gets home. The car had been running for several tens of meters but something unexpected happened because Nathan pulled the car over there.

"Damn!" aspir Nathan.

Nathan is still furious considering Oddie slapped him the other day. But seeing such a pitiful Oddie suddenly came a feeling of pity in his mind. Especially when he accidentally saw the pale face of Oddie with a hand that continues to hold his stomach. Nathan hit his wheel. Then turn the direction to return to the place. But the man was still reluctant to go down even though he was in the place and saw Oddie very clearly.

"Ck, why should I help her. He just slapped me yesterday" Nathan murmured.

Nathan's still glued to his place. Stuck between two choices to help or not. When Nathan was still hesitant to get off, Nathan saw a car stop right in front of his car. The car door opened, then a man got out of the car and approached Oddie who was starting to get cold. Nathan even heard their conversation clearly after opening a bit of his car windshield.

That man was Aarav. The man who had previously offered a ride but rejected Oddie on the grounds that he could go home alone.

"Did your husband not pick you up again tonight?" ask Aarav.

The man was already standing in front of Oddie. Staring at Oddie with pity for never being noticed by her husband. Aarav remembers how luxurious the house that Oddie lived in was. The owner of the house has a lot of money. But what happens until Oddie has to work despite this condition?

Oddie, who knew the voice, raised his head. Then immediately find a suitable reason to cover up the disgrace of his household. "My husband is very busy" Oddie replied.

"Is he always busy like this, Die?" ask Aarav again.

"Eum" Oddie answered.

"It is fitting that you have not had children despite being married for two years" Aarav said.

Oddie doesn't know what to answer. Finally it was just a smile that he gave to respond to Aarav's opinion just now.

Aarav who sees Oddie like this can only shake his head. If only he had been Oddie's husband, he wouldn't have let Oddie be alone like this. Wherever Oddie went, Aarav would drive him. Oddie is not his wife. Even though Aarav wanted Oddie to be his wife, it was impossible.

Aarav sees Oddie once again. Seeing women who are getting pale due to menstrual pain and cold at the same time.

"Die, are you on the moon?" ask Aarav.

Oddie's face immediately flushed. Hearing the opposite sex ask him about coming to the moon seems to make Oddie embarrassed.

"Ah, i-that's how do you know?" ask Oddie.

"I have a sister. He was just like you when the moon came" replied Aarav.

Aarav looked around. Then rushed to the minimarket after asking Oddie to wait for a while.

"Sum up while it's warm!" aarav said upon his return from the minimarket.

The man was already standing before Oddie again. Complete with a glass of warm drinks and drinks that women usually drink to relieve menstrual pain to give to Oddie.

"Oh, thanks!" Oddie.

That night, Aarav not only gives Oddie a warm drink and medicine. But also give her a ride and drive Oddie home.

Meanwhile, Nathan who saw everything could only hold his wheel tightly. Staring at the departure of Oddie and Aarav with a thin smile that could not be interpreted.

In Nathan's anger, he has promised not to return to the way he is today, despite Oddie's suffering.

"Thank you for driving me home" Oddie said.

"No problem. Come on in and get some rest!" sahut Aarav's.

"Be careful on the road!" said Oddie again.

Aarav just smiled. Waving his hand and leaving the house immediately. After Aarav's departure, Oddie went straight into his house. Smile a little by looking at the medicine Aarav is giving. But the smile did not last long as Nathan was already waiting for him inside.

"Are you happy to be ushered in by that stranger, Die?" ask Nathan.

Oddie caught a glimpse of Nathan. The man sat in a chair behind him. But from her tone Oddie knew her husband was angry.

"He's not a foreigner. He's my friend" Oddie replied.

Oddie answered the question politely. Wishing Nathan hadn't slapped him again because the slap that landed yesterday on his cheek still hurt.

Nathan got up from his seat. Lean on the chair with his hands folded while interrogating Oddie.

"Friends or customers?" ask Nathan.

Oddie smiled faintly. Didn't expect Nathan to talk like this again in front of him. "Why do you always misunderstand. He's just my friend" Oddie replied.

"Friends? What kind of friend gets so attentive and buys you stuff like this?" ask Nathan.

Now, Nathan didn't just snatch some of Aarav's medicinal drinks. But also slammed it with all his might until it broke. Oddie closed his eyes, not afraid that Nathan would hit him. I was shocked by what Nathan did. It wasn't Oddie's heart that was slammed. But Oddie's heart was broken like a bottle of shredded on that floor.

"What are you doing?" ask Oddie.

"I don't like you bringing a stranger into this house" Nathan replied.

Oddie's eyes were reddened. Although not crying but the tears were already welled up in his eyes. Oddie is not sad because Nathan scolds him, what makes Oddie sad is Nathan destroys the medicine that even Oddie has not taken. Indeed the price is not much, Oddie can still buy with his own money. But tonight, the cure was really Oddie's need.

"I'm sorry, next time I won't bring anything given to me by someone else to come into this house again" Oddie said.

"Clean this dirty floor and help Lastri prepare dinner. My mother will be staying here from today!" tell Nathan before he goes to his room.

Seeing that Nathan had left, Lastri and Maman who had eavesdropped had finally approached Oddie. Maman tidied the floor while Lastri took Oddie to the kitchen.

"Non Oddie why is it so pale. It hurt?" ask Lastri.

"Oddie's coming month, Bi!" answer Oddie lirih.

"Yes already, Non Oddie sat down first. Aunt make sour turmeric first huh?" lastri.
