03. The death of Ramona's mother

Mama Rindi watched Oddie closely. Look carefully inch by inch Oddie's parts are still the same. It's been two years since Oddie got married. Why is Oddie still not pregnant? Doesn't Nathan want to have a child soon?

Mama Rindi wasn't sure she would say it. But he can't hold it anymore. Two years ago Nathan came to him and said he wanted to marry Oddie. Mama Rindi thinks it's proof of Nathan's love for Oddie. So Mama Rindi says if Oddie is willing, then they can get married.

But what makes Mama Rindi curious is why Oddie is getting thinner by the day. His clothes were not as luxurious as Nathan's. Oddie, although still looks beautiful but not too well maintained as before. Besides, why they never came together when visiting. Is Oddie really happy?

"Die, did Nathan treat you well?" ask Mama Rindi.

"What?" ask Oddie. He was a little surprised by the question his mother suddenly mentioned Nathan.

"Is Nathan nice to you?" mama Rindi's.

"He's good" Oddie replied.

"It's good that Nathan treated you well. But Die, when Nathan's not busy, shouldn't you go to the doctor?" advice Mama Rindi.

"Why should I go to the doctor? Oddie is new from the doctor," asked Oddie did not understand.

"Die, it's been two years. Mama didn't think weirdly. It's just don't you want to check yourself out to make sure you're both healthy? If you are healthy, your mother is happy too. Maybe it's not time you were given a baby. But if not, shouldn't you be looking for a way to keep you kids?" answer Mama Rindi.

Oddie just riveted hearing it. Baby huh? How can a child be born without being made? How can they make a child while there is no love between them. After all, Nathan should still have children even if it's not from him. Kirana, the beautiful secretary who shines brightly and is always with Dean Nathan, will surely give a child to Nathan with pleasure. Then Oddie, he'll just rot like a piece of trash in the darkest corner of the earth.

"Ma, we're still very young. We are in no hurry to have children. Dean is very busy and I'm not ready to be a mom. So leave it like this," replied Oddie reasoned.

"Die, Nathan's always working. Out there he must have met a lot of beautiful women. Aren't you afraid your husband is interested in other women? At least if there are children among you it will make it more comfortable at home. Do you understand?" mama Rindi.

"I understand, Ma!" answer Oddie.

They didn't say anything else but that. Just keep smiling and looking at each other until a warden says the visitation time is up.

"Back, kid! Serve your husband well. It's almost lunch time. Shouldn't you have gone to bring him provisions?" mama Rindi asked and then passed.

Oddie just nodded with a smile, but did not want to move from his place until his mother was not seen again.

Dean Nathan never acknowledged her as a wife. They were married but the marriage was like a secret that no one but them knew. So why did he have to go to the office to bring supplies for Dean Nathan. It's good that Dean just threw away his provisions or slammed the door. What if Dean gets angry and punches him for setting foot in there? What if he lost his right eye sight as well?

Oddie finally got up. Leaving the detention house to go to his next destination, his father's funeral.

After the funeral, Oddie stops at a playground to see the children running around. The long-lost smile finally reappeared even for a moment.

"Sister?" the call of a little boy breaks Oddie's smile.

Oddie did not reply, but a group of other children also approached Oddie when he saw Oddie sitting alone and looked lonely.

"Big brother why?"

"Is this sick?"

"Sister, want to play with us?"

They smiled cheerfully, even pulling Oddie's hand before Oddie could agree to their invitation.

"Sister, what's your brother's name?"

The group of boys kept asking Oddie questions they had just met. Oddie answered one by one the question patiently then played with them though with the pain in his limping leg. Oddie was even willing to use his last piece of money to buy them ice cream and enjoy it together after they got tired of playing.

Just for today, that smile continues to adorn the corners of Oddie's lips. Not only did the children see it, but Dean Nathan also saw it even from a distance.

Across the street, in a fancy car parked by Dean Nathan, watching what Oddie was doing. Nathan's not looking for Oddie because he's worried about his situation. He only makes sure Oddie does not run away from his grasp after the hospital says that Oddie escaped.

"What are you doing, Die?" ask Nathan. I don't know when this man came, but Nathan was already standing behind him with his usual look of disdain

"I-I, I-I,-"

"Go home now!" cut Nathan.

Nathan left immediately after giving his instructions. Looking at Oddie who walked like a conch from inside the car without mercy. "Want to have a child with me? Dream there! Just seeing you I'm so fed up!" nathan muttered after recalling the report from his subordinates that said what Oddie and his mother discussed in prison.

"Darling, where have you been?" ask Kirana that afternoon.

The woman had just done an important job outside and had just returned home in the afternoon. The female secretary who transformed into the actor immediately rushed into Nathan's embrace. That pretty face, pouting expression, sensual perfume scent and spoiled hug somehow Nathan didn't want it at the moment. The days before if Kirana had been like this, Nathan would have directly grabbed her sexy lips or they would have ended up with a hot scene on the bed.

Why is this afternoon different? Is it because Nathan is too tired to show any reaction even though Kirana starts to provoke Nathan's passion with her wild hands?

"Nathan?" kirana protests.

"I'm sorry, Ki! There are a lot of jobs I haven't finished yet!" reject Nathan.

Kirana put on a pouting face. He worked outside all day. Later that day Nathan canceled his lunch appointment and the afternoon refused his hug. Fortunately, Nathan persuaded him not to get angry. Because otherwise, the target of his anger would have been to expose Oddie.

"Don't get angry like this. You're so ugly when you're angry!" persuade Nathan.

"Nathan!" kirana Whine.

"Well, what do I do to keep you from getting angry?" ask Nathan.

"I want a new bag. I haven't bought a bag in a long time" replied Kirana.

Nathan thought for a moment. Two months ago she just gave me a brandy bag that was quite expensive. But not wanting to make Kirana angry and her mood was bad, Nathan transferred some money to Kirana's account so she could buy the bag she wanted.

"Is that enough to buy a new bag?" ask Nathan.

"Enough," Kirana replied after seeing the amount of money transferred by Nathan.

The actor did not pout anymore. But he immediately kissed Nathan so happy.

"You rest first. I have to be late tonight!" said Nathan.

Kirana walked out of Nathan's office. While Nathan immediately did his work that was delayed. Nathan had just picked up one proposal that he had to check and had just opened the first leaf but not the writing he had seen, but rather Oddie's smiling face while playing with the children.

Nathan closed the proposal again. Throw it away and pile it up with other proposals. "It seems like the lesson I gave you is still too light for you, Die."
