BDJ 5: INCIDENT
“Verily we created everything according to size (destiny).’—Q.S Al-Qamar (verse : 49)

“Iya, Alea remember.” The beautiful girl who was talking on the phone gave a small nod while pushing the grocery trolley. “Alea has bought meat for rendang. Stay the green vegetables that Mamah list, Alea has not bought."
He also occasionally looks at his groceries. Then glance at the list that is next to the hand, matching the shopping items with the list.
After dawn, he was already active as usual even though today is weekend. He's off work at the company, but that doesn't mean he's free at home. Some zoom meeting invitations, google meetings as well as virtual meeting invitations are already fulfilling his email. It's just that for this time he had to refuse in order to fulfill the wishes of his parents.
After dawn prayers, morning activities began with morning exercise with both parents. They used to wander around the mansion grounds while cycling. After exercise they then went home to clean the body, then continued with breakfast together. Such things were indeed trivial activities, but not for Alea. It means a lot to Alea, because on the sidelines of her solid activities as a career woman, she can still enjoy being together with her parents.
This morning Alea got the task to shop some needs in the nearest market. At first he will go accompanied by his mother, but stopped because Airra has to take care of something at home. Now the berniqab girl is shopping alone in a most complete market that is open 24 hours.
Several times he did realize that there were some people who were looking at him closely. Despite the anxiety, Alea was already used to such an intimidating look. Moreover, lately there has been a rife issue about the discrimination of Muslims. Moreover, Muslim women who look syar’i like herself randomly get an intimidating look.
“Aww!”
The focus of the beautiful girl in the shar'i hijab was suddenly sidetracked by the sound of a clash between her shopping trolley and something. His gaze then found the boy who had just been complaining of pain from falling after crashing into his trolley.
“You okay?” Alea swiftly crouched down near the boy, then stretched out her hand to help him.
“Don't touch me!” the boy exclaimed in a loud voice. His feet that Alea was about to touch were also pulled quickly. “Criminals!” add the boy with the good looks.
“Criminals?” confused Alea.
“It's you.”
The 10-year-old boy chimed in. Some other market visitors seemed to glance suspiciously at their interactions, some even approached to make sure.
“What is this?” A dark-skinned woman asked while marginalizing her grocery trolley.
“What's up, son?” he asked again as he approached the boy who was still sitting on the floor. “What is this woman bothering you?”
The boy nodded steadily. Makes Alea surprised of course.
“No. I just want to help him.” Alea open the sound. Not to be blamed. “She fell after hitting my grocery trolley,”.
“You lie!” the boy exclaimed again, making some people start to sympathize.
“You're bothering this kid?” the dark-skinned woman asked again while looking at Alea sharply.
“No, I—“
“He must have quibbled. Currently many criminals are hiding behind appearances that reflect closed women.” A female member voiced an opinion. Making the situation more uncontrollable
Alea started to get cornered. However, he remained calm in dealing with the situation and conditions. “Sorry, but you can get a criminal case for accusing people haphazardly without evidence. In this place there is CCTV. You can look at the CCTV footage to find out what really happened. Not accusing people of recklessness.”
The women then shut up. They immediately exchanged lyrics, while looking for the existence of CCTV in question. If there really is CCTV then the word Alea is completely justified. It must have been recorded by the surveillance camera.
“Tch,” whipped the boy while looking at Alea annoyed. He still survives in his position—sitting berselonjor while holding hands to the knee.
“Lucas?”
“Wire!” suddenly the boy hurriedly stood up from his seat, making those who were there surprised instead of playing.
“Not your feet hurt, son?” asked the dark-skinned woman, surprised.
“Hm, the—“
“Lucas, what are you doing here?!” A middle-aged woman who was still beautiful came from the opposite direction in a hurry. Approaching the boy who was scratching his neck.
“Em, Eomma. Lucas ya—“
“Are you acting again?” the beautiful-faced woman typical of Ginseng country woman asked while pinching the cheek of the son, between anxious and upset.
“Aw, Eomma hurts.”
The women who had intimidated Alea, gradually left one by one after learning that it was just a misunderstanding. The middle-aged woman called mother by the boy smiled regretfully as she straightened out the misunderstanding.
“Sorry, my son has made a misunderstanding.”
“Fitness your son well. We almost judged an innocent man earlier.”
“Sorry, once again I'm sorry.” The mother of the boy called Lucas repeatedly said the word ‘maaf’ while bending her body.
“Sorry, Eomma.” the boy glanced over while showing his puppy eyes. She felt guilty for making her mother apologize that way to people.
“Eomma already said, don't go far.”
“Sorry, Lucas is wrong.”
Alea looked at the mother and child in turn. The people who had been swarming around, were now beginning to gradually move away. Now she lives with her mother and son who are still talking in front of her.
“Eonni,” call boy earlier, suddenly.
“I?” Alea pointed to herself. somewhat surprised at being suddenly summoned using Korean.
“Ne.”
Alea approached, then looked at Lucas who was standing in front of him “What's the matter?”
“Ayo.” Urge mom Lucas.
“I’am sorry, Eonni,” ogled.
“More hard!” exclaim the mother.
“I'am sorry, Eonni,” reset Lucas harder.
Alea who was looking at the behavior of the boy smiled faintly behind the niqab cloth he was using.
“Oh, caper.” Alea said softly. Turns out the boy liked the caper in an extreme way.
“Caper?”
Alea gave a small nod, knowing that her words were unintentionally heard by her interlocutor.
“Short for attention,” he explained using a voice that sounded so friendly in the ear. To the point of making his interlocutor fascinated.
“You are Indonesian?”
“Iya. I am from Indonesia.”
“Woah, Indonesia.” Little Lucas responded enthusiastically. “Island of the Gods, Bali. Eonni know?”
Alea nodded. He certainly knew that very famous Island of Gods.
“What's there beautiful? Hyeong said it was beautiful there. I'm going on vacation there this summer.”
“Yes. Bali is beautiful place.” Alea answered kindly.
“So you are from Indonesia? You should be very friendly.” Lucas' mother spoke again. “Happy to meet you, miss..?”
“Alea. Call Alea just miss.”
The woman nodded. “You can call me Nata. My name is Natalia.”
Once again, Alea nodded. “Then can Alea call aunt Nata?”
“Of course,” replied the woman who is quite fluent in pronouncing the Indonesian language.
Their conversation then continued. Little Lucas also actively asked Alea about Bali. The only place he knew about in Indonesia. Alea's easy to talk, in fact, was able to make the mother and child comfortable lingering with him.
“Hm, Alea has to pay, aunt.” Alea glanced at the watch on her left wrist. “Mother at home waiting.”
Nata and Lucas looked unwilling as Alea was about to leave. Luca even sulked thinking that Alea still had not forgiven him.
“What is Eonni still mad at?”
“No. I have forgiven you,” Alea said, honestly.
“Then why rush off? Lucas still wants to talk to Eonni!” sulk the little Lucas.
“Emh, because my mom is waiting at home. I have to go home soon so as not to make him wait.”
Lucas nodded in lethargy. He understood that he could no longer make Alea stay there. “Eomma?”
“What's up?”
“Can we invite Eonni for lunch at home?”
The middle-aged woman was somewhat surprised by the request of this one son. Given that Lucas rarely cares or is familiar with people he just met. It turned out that this was not the case for Alea. “Try her Eonni directly.”
The boy who had a beautiful face nodded. “Eonni? Would you like to not have lunch at Lucas' house?” tanyanya grabbed one of Alea's hands. Alea was startled at first, yet she was able to control her expression well.
“Eonni has to play to Lucas' house. Hyeong must be acquainted with Eonni. Hyeong wants to go to Bali again, she does not know much about Indonesia. Though besides Bali, there are many beautiful places there is not?”
Alea nodded, but confusion answered. He can't be that easy to agree to a stranger's invitation.
Lucas looked at Alea with his signature puppy eyes. “Mau, yes, Eonni?” the boy's black eyeballs looked adorable, so they could make anyone melt. “You yes, Eonni?”
Alea breathed out a huff. He likes little kids. He could never refuse the request of an adorable creature named a child. “Lucas?”
“Yes, Eonni?”
“What day should I come?”
Lucas blinked his dark eyeballs a few times, to the surprise of the boy, looking very adorable. “Eonni want to come?”
Alea nodded in response.
“Eonni can come tomorrow!” Lucas continued with enthusiasm. The two eyes of the child looked glittering as the corners of his lips formed a wide smile.
Alea smiled behind the face-covering cloth. Nata also thanked Alea for visiting their home. Although their meeting was started by a bad incident, at least they can establish a friendship after.
"Eomma, Eonni was so nice. Lucas likes.”
Nata smiled wryly as he touched the head of the son. “Quick grab the snack that Lucas wants. Poor sister wait long.”
“Iya Eomma's. Hyeong must be upset.” Luca looked clucked when he remembered the older brother. The boy then took two packs of corn-based snacks off the shelf and two packs of his favorite chocolate sticks.
Nata nodded, approving the words of his youngest son. “Louis, your brother hates waiting.”
“Hm, hyeong, right, never like to wait if not forced.” Lucas said with a small laugh. The boy was imagining how upset his brother was right now. If not for being forced by his little brother, where maybe the adult male would be made to wait for hours. “Later Lucas wants to tell you about Eonni to Hyeong. Eonni good. Eonni who wants to be patient with the behavior of Lucas, not like Hyeong Louis.”
