Not Sugar Baby (Mommy)

Not Sugar Baby (Mommy)
Stranger

“Wih, hello Non Adel.” The name was welcomed by Galih. “Today play here huh?”

 “Gak, Om. Today nginap.”

“Hah?” Galih glared in shock at hearing that.

The shorter and more contained man from Delano, looked at his colleague for an explanation. However, what Delano did was just sigh slowly.

He tried to threaten, but apparently failed. Instead of being afraid, Adelia didn't even care.

“When I was half-naked Daddy didn't say anything. So I believe that Daddy is good and will defend me if there are things like that.”

That was what Adelia had said and immediately made Delano give up. What the woman said was not wrong.

“Lih, here.” The one with the room waved at his friend.

“This is real, Boss?” The short man whispered softly, glancing at their guests.

“Yes, that's why I'm sleeping in your room tonight. Let Adelia sleep in my room.”

“Yakin, Mas Boss? Later RT disagree song.”

“I've told Mr. Jamal and he agreed anyway.” Delano raised his shoulders when he mentioned the name of the owner.

“Daddy, where will I sleep?” Adelia suddenly interrupted the conversation of the two men, after looking through the entire third floor.

The entire floor was rented by Delano. Consists of two rooms and one outdoor bathroom, living room, kitchen, clothesline. The clothesline is a shared property, but there is a ladder of its own to get there.

“You can sleep in my room. Later I sleep in the galih room,” replied Delano approaching his guest.

“Which Daddy room? The one in front of this or the one behind it.”

“Yang behind.” Delano replied, simultaneously opening the door of his room and revealing the contents of his room.

Delano room is clean for men. Very clean even, with standard furniture shades of white or cream.

“Thank God I got a clean and tidy room.” Adelia quickly sighed in relief.

“Hah? What is my room as dirty as?” Galih quickly checked his room.

“Not dirty anyway, but a real mess. The effect is so uncomfortable.” Adelia confessed honestly and made Delano laugh.

 ***

It was already quite the night when Delano came out of the room. For some reason, today he has difficulty sleeping, but usually it is not like that.

“Adelia?” The man who had just come out of the room, was quite surprised by the presence of the name in the living room.

“Kok is here? Not sleeping?” ask the man with the haircut, just for pleasantries.

“Iya. Maybe because it's not my bed.” Adelia said that while smiling broadly.

“Mean it I said what? You better go home.” Delano sat on the sofa opposite his guest.

“But at home is more uncomfortable than here.” The woman with wavy hair told, with a glaring eye.

“It feels like I'm a stranger at home. More uncomfortable than being a stranger, in a foreign place.”

Delano smiled at the philosophy. It sounds sad, but it's real. She had no idea what Adelia was feeling, but it must have been painful.

“How about you try to reconcile? I mean, you don't forgive them. But try not to care. Maybe that way I can live more comfortably.”

“I've thought like that, but it didn't work.” The little girl in pink Hello Kitty pajamas told me.

“Every time I see the faces of both of them, I remember my mother. Remember when he suddenly got sick and always said he did not like papa and Bella,” continued Adelia who now looks sad.

“Mommy's illness has actually been a while, but papa's betrayal made it worse. How can I be calm like that?”

Delano nodded in understanding. “If it is like that, it may indeed be difficult.”

“So am I wrong?” Suddenly Adelia wanted to know. “Do I sin on my papa?”

“You didn't do anything nasty to her right?” Delano asked back.

“If not, maybe you are innocent,” the man continued after his interlocutor nodded. “For me to argue a little is not a big sin.”

“Daddy is very wise ya.” Adelia did not hesitate to praise. “I'm curious about Daddy's family deh.”

Delano could only smile at the compliment. It was a shame to also hear someone praise him directly, especially by beautiful women.

It is undeniable, Adeli is beautiful. She's cute, petite and funny. Unfortunately, Delano felt the woman was not her type .

“I'm from a regular family only.” Eventually Delano started telling stories. “Papa and my mom are just employees and well, that's how it is. Nothing special.”

“But at least your family is not as messy as my family, right?” Adelia asked seriously.

“Yeah, it's not really. At least my father didn't cheat or anything.” Delano felt bad when he had to say that.

“Your parents are also certainly blessed when married, right?” adelia asked which made Delano frown in confusion.

“He said, my parents were not approved. That's why I'm not familiar with their families. I'm a child that is not recognized by a large family.”

Hearing the confession, Delano became even more sorry for the woman in front of him. It seems Adelia's life has been difficult since childhood.

“My father is only an officer and a rich man's son's mother. That's what makes them disapproved. Said papa had no future.”

 “But now don't you?”

Adelia immediately shook her head at Delano's question. Until this moment, the papa is still an employee.

“The successful career was mama. The company that papa holds now is a company founded by mama,” explained Adelia honestly, without caring if her interlocutor is a stranger.

Delano became increasingly clueless as to what to say when he heard that. Maybe there are already many richer wives in this day and it does not matter. Unfortunately that doesn't apply to Adelia's parents.

“I so have no friends vent because it is not close to cousins,” added Adelia increasingly look sad. “Me now I confide in Daddy.”

“No fear later I become a leaky bucket?” delano asked seriously.

“Absolutely not because I know Daddy is a good man.”

Delano could only sigh at the smile of the woman sitting in front of him. He was praised so much and he never got used to it.

“Already.” Unwilling to hear any more humiliating praise, Delano decided to get up from his seat. “I think we should just go to bed. It's night.”

Adelia stood up. He who was already feeling more relieved, thought that he would fall asleep easily.

“Omong by the way, I love talking to Daddy and I love your smell too. I think I will easily fall in conta with Daddy.” Adelia said that before entering the room.
