“Why are you here?” Aditya asked, after waking up from his sleep.
“Because I want to visit,” replied Delano with rest. “For additional information, Om's wife was down to buy coffee.”
“Copy? Who wants coffee?” Aditya feels confused because Bella is hating the smell of coffee, during her pregnancy. It was clear that he also did not consume the black liquid when he was sick.
“Entah.” Delano raised his shoulders without feeling guilty. “So I only had time to mention coffee when sending a message to Adelia and she just left.”
Aditya sighed softly. He knew that Delano was indeed bullying his wife, but could not say much. Bella is hated by everyone and she can still understand the reason, even though she is upset about it.
“Adelia is not there,” muttered the lying man in a hoarse voice. “It feels weird that you're visiting without my daughter. You like to do or say something secret.”
“Reacted easy to guess yes.” Delano smiled faintly.
“If you still want to ask my daughter, then I will still refuse.” Delano had not even said anything, but Aditya had already refused. “My decision can't possibly falter just because you're a good person.”
“Om refused because my future is arguably bleak right?” delano asked, without further ado.
“Your future is indeed gloomy,” replied Aditya who was also reluctant to say beautiful words. “That adelia is used to living comfortably. He may hold staying in the boarding house for a few months, but not so.”
“Then if it turns out I can succeed, how? Is Adelia okay for me?”
Aditya snorted softly at the confident sentence of the visitor. He could barely help laughing. Fortunately, the hoarseness because of long periods of not drinking, making Aditya difficult to laugh.
“Sorry, not to insult. But once successful, can it be as successful as what?”
“How about from the beginning I was a successful person disguised as a difficult person?” Delano who felt sorry for the middle-aged man in front of him, held out a bottle of mineral water. Complete with straws.
“Thank you.” Of course Aditya received that help because it was necessary. “Good sentence, but which movie did you take that sentence from?” continued after sipping water.
“That's reality, Om. Not a film.” Ringisan followed Delano's words. He was not offended, only felt sad because it sounded like a soap opera.
“Indeed like soap operas, but what if it's true?” Delano asked again. “This if only.”
Aditya did not answer. He seemed to think for a while, before looking at Delano meaningfully. A rather difficult question for him, but it still has to be answered right?
“It's up to Adelia only. But if that's true, I think it'll be hard. Adelia is not a person who likes to be lied to, especially after her mother left.”
“I know that,” whispered Delano felt very guilty.
***
Adelia stared at her glowing phone screen slowly. For the umpteenth time, he just let the phone from Delano go. The little girl was reluctant to talk to her fiance, but also refused to block the man's number. But he still read the man's message.
[Daddy Delano: Adelia, please!]
[Daddy Delano: I know I made a big mistake, but please allow me to explain. At least give me one chance.]
“Sucks.” Adelia threw her phone in any direction and landed right on the edge of the bed she was sitting on.
“If you know wrong why done?” adelia asked completely unaware that she met Delano when she was an OB.
“Again, what to explain?” continued the tiny woman with a look of annoyance. “I can guess that you did it to test your fucking ex.”
Adelia looked back at her phone ringing. There was a tremor that accompanied and made the flat object begin to slip down from the bed.
“If it's him again, I swear I'll yell at him.” Despite cursing, Adelia still took her phone.
“ADELIA.” Not even the owner of the phone said hello, the scream was heard.
“Forget your eardrum. Now we have shocking news.” Marcel's waving voice sounded very excited.
“What the hell? If not surprising, I'll be angry.” Although upset, Adelia still answered.
“You know no.” Marcel is still talking. “It turns out, your Daddy is rich.”
“Oh, that's toh.”
“What? Don't tell me you already know?” Now it's Poppy's turn to scream.
“I've known since a few days ago.” Very reluctantly, Adelia who was lazy to discuss this, replied. “Means I hid in one of Oma.”'s houses
“Oh, are you married to your girlfriend because of this?” Marcel is back.
“Bag anyway. He's been lying to you and you know this from social media,” continued Poppy understandingly.
Adelia did not answer and could only sigh. He who was not wanting to talk much, only heard the two friends curse Delano.
“Continue, how about Mr Aris?” Suddenly, Marcel changed the conversation.
“Why even discuss him?” Of course Adelia would be confused.
“Didn't you hear?” poppy asked, starting to sound enthusiastic. “Per next month, he's resigned. Said he wanted to take care of the family business.”
“Terus?” Adelia doesn't understand.
“I don't think he wants to lose to your Daddy.”
The answer from Marcel, made Adelia roll her eyeballs. What the friend said, sounded very absurd to him. Even if Mr. Aris wants to compete, can it? It's not what, but Adelia's been figuring it out for a few days.
The Delano family is arguably old money. A family of wealthy businessmen who have eaten a lot of acid and salt. It must be different from the family of Mr. Aris. Oma Tessa is still losing.
“Already. I don't want to discuss that.” After letting her two best friends chatter long enough in turn, Adelia ends up getting bored as well.
“Ah, no fun.” Marcel would complain. “Padalaat we would like to know more.”
“I myself don't know much, so don't expect. Yes already. I'm sleepy.” After saying that, Adelia turned off her phone.
Just as Adelia turned off the phone, the flat object rang and shook again. This time, Delano's name was plastered there.
“I won't pick up your phone,” hiss Adelia who instantly turned off the call from the Daddy, made the man send a message.
[Daddy Delano: You turned down my phone and took someone else's call? Are you seriously going to keep rejecting my invitation?]
“Dia why the hell?” Adelia looked confused reading the angry message.
[Daddy Delano: All right!]
[Daddy Delano: You asked for this, so don't blame me for something that would embarrass you.]
“He threatened me?” muttered Adelia in a surprised tone, as well as annoyed. “Sialan.”
[Adelia Lesmana: Go ahead if you want to embarrass me. I don't care!]
Instead of giving up, Adelia even more challenging.
