“Adelia yes?” A man in his thirties greeted the pensive little girl.
“Oh, sorry.” The one with the name immediately snapped.
“I Farhan.” The man reached out politely. “I am a lawyer, as well as one who has this office. I also called you.”
Although she looked somewhat confused, Adelia finally reached out her hand as well. He must be polite, to people older than him. Moreover, that person was the lawyer of the mother.
“You alone?” Farhan asked again, looking around.
“Iya. Me alone,” replied Adel firmly. “But, why am I called here huh?”
“Loh? Not been told, huh?” The lawyer asked back. “It's about your mama's legacy.”
Some time ago, Adelia had indeed received a message about inheritance. Today, was the day he was asked to come to Farhan's office.
Unfortunately, the nineteen-year-old girl was still confused. More confused because there are many thoughts and end up daydreaming in the lobby of the office building owned by the lawyer.
“Already told, but I still don't understand, Om.”
“Please do not call om.” Farhan immediately reprimanded. “If we are far apart, but I am not that old and you are not my nephew.”
“Why are all men like that anyway?” adelia asked confusedly. “My girlfriend also talked like that the first time she met.”
“What are you dating with people my age?” The lawyer asked with a frown.
The wrinkle grew even more when the little girl in front of him nodded. Farhan wanted to ask again, but he couldn't. Incidentally, Adelia's father and Bella's father had already come.
“Adelia.” Aditya looks pretty happy to see his daughter. “Thank God you can come.”
“Why should he also be here?” Adelia did not hesitate to point out her father's affair.
“Nona Bella, also invited.” The lawyer answered. “Then since everything has been collected, let's go up to my office. Coincidentally our notary has also arrived since earlier,” invited the man with a big smile.
Not wanting to be close to her former best friend, Adelia chooses to get close to the lawyer. He even chose to talk to Farhan, even though it was all nonsense.
However, it did not last long. Upon arriving in Farhan's living room, Adelia is forced to sit face to face with the two people she hates. They were left with three.
“Where are you staying for a few days?” Aditya opened the conversation.
“Somewhere comfortable and clean,” replied Adelia, deliberately sounding ambiguous.
“How about you just go home?” aditya asked trying not to get angry. “More safe if you're at home.”
“More safe also at my girlfriend's place. At least there my blood pressure did not rise,” replied Adelia indifferently.
“You live with your girlfriend?” Now it's Bella's turn to speak. “Isn't that very dangerous? After all, where is it possible that your girlfriend's house can be clean, safe and comfortable.?”
Aditya was confused to hear the last sentence of his lover. Unfortunately, he did not have time to ask because the owner of the office had come, along with another woman.
“Include this Betsy, our notary.” Farhan.
“Because everything is already here, let's just start.” Betsy apparently doesn't want to talk.
“You are all collected here in connection with the will made by the late Paula Santoso, related to the treasure she personally owned.”
“Sorry, previous.” Aditya interrupted immediately. “Whatever my wife has her own property?”
“Of course your late wife has her own possessions. There is a treasure separation agreement when you two get married,” Betsy replied by placing emphasis on the word deceased.
Aditya's behavior is already known by the lawyer and notary. Although they do not know the truth as to what it was when they met Adelia's mother, but now they understand. Especially when I see Bella coming with confidence.
“I continue again.” Betsy smiled, having not heard another question.
“Mother Paula Santoso, has made a will. It happened while he was still in good health. This is a copy letter.”
Betsy thrust out the map and picked up a pointer shaped like a small remote on the table and Farhan immediately lowered the window curtain, also turning off the main light.
As it turned out, there was a projector that panned onto the white cloth in the middle of the room. There, a video of the process of writing a will by his mother Adelia. There is also a video of my mother talking.
“I Paula Santoso. It hereby declares to be still physically and spiritually healthy. With this anyway, I want to convey my will.”
Hearing the mother's voice and face made Adelia want to cry. He misses his mother. Unlike Aditya and Bella who look tense.
“I declare, if all the treasures on my behalf are private, will be given to my only daughter Adelia Lesmana.”
“Omong empty what is.” Bella interrupts when she hears what Paula says in the video.
“Sorry, but can you keep quiet until the video ends?” Betsy asked in a tinge.
Bella obviously doesn't accept being reprimanded like that. He was ready to reprimand her, but Aditya was already glaring at her. By force, Bella chooses to shut up and let the notary continue with the video.
“If by the time I leave I am not yet capable enough to manage everything, I hope he can soon find a suitable partner for him. There is already a partner that I choose, but if Adelia has other options, of course it can be considered.”
“Adelia.” The owner of the name increasingly glazed when he saw the message left by the mother for him.
“You spoiled child and know nothing. Maybe even after you have a ID card you are still spoiled, so start learning to live independently. Don't rely on men, even if it's your husband.”
Adelia kept staring at the screen in front of her full of appreciation. He did not care for the father who coughed at the message of his late wife.
“Mama hope, later when twenty years you can take care of all these treasures yourself. But if you go faster than that or you are still not able to, I hope you can find a partner or accept the partner you chose for you.”
“Mama will not force, but of course it will be better that way. At the very least, the treasure would not fall on the wrong person. Mama loves you.”
That's the video Betsy showed. After that, the woman took out another white map, which was the completeness of the will.
“Inti wills we have heard together.” Betsy started talking again. “Now let's see, how much treasure will be inherited by Adelia Lesmana.”
