Poorly Forgotten Secretary

Poorly Forgotten Secretary
Duck Bad Appearance vs Crown Prince

A few blocks before reaching the Aurora Place Building, Ambrosia realized she had to make an offer to the man who kept staring at her sharply from the passenger seat. Although he really did not want to talk anything more with Roxanne's son; did not want to deal anything more precisely, but for the professionalism of the work he held high, Ambrosia had to be willing to reduce her own ego.

In less than an hour, Ambrosia thought to her guard. It was less than an hour before he met the Crown Prince, yet it was as if he had lost his usual identity. Losing her calm, controlled self. And Ambrosia did not like her strange self at all.

Oscillating between the anticipation of hatred disguised by past traumas, and new feelings that tickle and continue to lurk from within her since seeing the dazzling figure of an Alex Levine, leaving Ambrosia overwhelmed. Luckily he was very well trained to maintain the stability of facial expressions and gesture gestures, so that a small storm that shook his feelings was not visible on the surface.

After quite a breath set; quite ready to begin the interaction, Ambrosia finally breaks down the stifling awkwardness during a fairly short trip but feels like forever.

"Excuse me, Sir. Do you want to get in directly from the special elevator in the basement to Ms Roxanne's office or from the front lobby like the others?" Ambrosia asked without shifting her focus from the highway before her. Try to avoid eye contact to a minimum.

Alex seemed to think for a moment before finally replying, "I'll just enter from the front lobby" Alex stiffly replied.

Because Alex has not visited his family's company for so long, he thought it would be more efficient for him to enter through the main lobby as well as to see all the changes that might occur during his time in America.

Ambrosia nodded in response to Alex's response. A practical way to answer in the middle of a cold war that secretly occurred between him and his boss's only son.

Just in front of the main lobby of Aurora Place Building, Ambrosia stopped Roxanne's private car as smoothly as she got out of the car and coded a valet on duty to approach her.

Alex who was secretly watching all the things Ambrosia did could not help but notice the fluidity of each of the woman's movements.

"Like a goose," Alex muttered involuntarily. Alex was surprised and surprised at himself. How could he think that the slender and brash-mouthed woman was as graceful as a goose?

What swan? His appearance alone was like a Bad Duck Like that, thought Alex still annoyed.

"Please park this car in the parking lot of Roxanne's special mistress, Tom," Ambrosia orders a young man who serves as a parking valet.

"Don't worry, Ana, leave it to me" replied the young man named Tom as he glanced one eye at Ambrosia, shortly after the young man received Roxanne's car keys while opening the passenger door for Alex.

Alex, who heard the valet call Ambrosia, recalled her mother's brief message. It turns out that it is true that everyone calls Ambrosia Heart by the nickname Ana, and it may also be true that everyone in the company likes the strict Miss Secretary.

Except for me of course, inner Alex with full confidence.

"Is there any baggage that I should carry upstairs?" ask Tom more about Alex than Ambrosia.

Ambrosia flinch from feeling she is not the subject of questions by Tom, but seeing Alex who seems busy with her own thoughts makes Ambrosia inevitably help Tom repeat the question to Alex.

Alex gasped, and immediately felt embarrassed because he was caught being unfocused in front of two employees who would later become his subordinates. It is not exactly the attitude that Alex hopes to show as the future leader of Levine Enterprise.

"Umm, no, I don't think I'll be here long, and I'll go straight home after meeting my mom. Thank you," Alex replied after successfully rediscovering his lost self-control.

"You hear that, Tom?" Ambrosia turned towards the valet youth with a faint smile. The smile that somehow was clearly visible in Alex's eyes made Alex stunned.

"Very well" said Tom cheerfully as he gave his thumbs up.

Without saying anything else, Ambrosia stepped before Alex into the lobby. Hope Alex Levine will follow him without her having to mince words. Not wanting to look stupid again, Alex immediately swiftly followed Ambrosia every step.

Only with a movement without verbal explanation, Ambrosia showed the steps of the public employees through a series of security systems installed in the Building before finally reaching the 21st floor, where the main lobby of the Levine Enterprise office is located.

While following Ambrosia, Alex reopens his memory of the location of his family's company. Since his two grandfathers joined forces to buy the Aurora Place Building for the future of their children, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren, the forty-one-story building is the biggest asset Alex's parents have had to date.

Because in addition to being the headquarters of Levine Enterprise which uses half of the building, namely the twenty-first floor to the top floor, alex's parents also rented out the lower twenty floors as commercial locations for other companies. The Aurora Place Building is one of the most prestigious office centers in Sydney, Australia.

Although in the present, the assets of the Levine family have been far developed and also diverse, but this building is the forerunner of the establishment of Levine Enterprise. Alex's smile expands considering how his family is able to enrich themselves while his former fiancee—Luna Gross—it precisely thinks that Alex is just a model without a promising background.

Fortunately in California only a handful of people know the real facts about my family, otherwise I could have stayed entangled with Luna without knowing how real she was, alex thought while shuddering in horror.

"Is the AC lift too cold for you, sir?"

The question of Ambrosia without warning surprised Alex. Unprepared with the sudden attention of his mother's secretary made Alex nervous to be unable to answer immediately.

Ambrosia raised her eyebrows high as she looked at her boss' new-looking son coming out of the air and was immediately nervous about such a trivial question.

This man is really a dumb-ass, Ambrosia thought in her brief assessment of the trainee director who will be in office soon.

"Ti, no. It's not cold at all" Alex replied, throwing his face away in order to hide the red hue on his face in shame.

The dumb-ass, clumsy, and weak, inner Ambrosia while holding back amused when remembering Alex Levine's gesture which was clearly like shivering in the elevator earlier.
