Poorly Forgotten Secretary

Poorly Forgotten Secretary
Roxanne's Heartbreak

While Ambrosia is still drowning in confusion, Roxanne recounts her experience meeting her son's fiance without hesitation.

It was as if the woman thought Ambrosia was part of her family. Implies how much trust Roxanne Levine gives to her secretary.

"You remember a few months ago when I went to California on business?" roxanne asked blankly.

His eyes were fixed straight at Ambrosia, but it was as if he had not really seen her secretary. It was as if it wasn't Ambrosia he saw there. Ambrosia hurriedly replied with a nod of her head.

Roxanne sighed before continuing her story, "I did visit my son in his apartment without prior notice, as I did not plan. You know that my schedule there is very busy. In fact, Alex didn't know I was in California because I didn't have time to tell him."

Ambrosia was still patiently listening to Roxanne's story, while observing the changes that occurred in the look of her superior's face.

"When all of a sudden one of my meetings was canceled unilaterally—you remember that time right, Ana?—I immediately thought of surprising Alex by visiting him suddenly."

Ambrosia dug up her memories of the event. And it didn't take long for him to remember, although at that time he was not a secretary who accompanied Roxanne to California—but Elsa—but Elsa gave him a detailed report about Roxanne's schedule changes that occurred at that time.

"At that time, I accidentally met Alex's fiancee in her apartment" Roxanne continued.

"Are you disappointed after knowing that Mr. Alex and his fiancee already live together?" ambrosia asked, trying to keep the intonation of her speech as slow as she could in order not to make her boss more emotional.

"That's not the case, honey," Roxanne replied quickly. "But no, Alex doesn't live with her fiance. I know for a fact, because Alex is not that kind of man. He was a colossus in the affairs of romance. It was just a coincidence that the woman was also visiting there. And you know what, Ana? The woman looked at me like a bug when Alex proudly introduced me as her mother."

Roxanne sighed again, this time deeper. "I don't know if my sudden and unannounced arrival bothered me.— interfered with her precious time being alone with Alex, or if she was always disgusted by an old woman like me," Roxanne wondered with a pushy look.

"Sorry, mom. But I don't understand. "Ambrosia's words were cut off and hanging, her tongue too faint to carry on her sentence after seeing the pushy glances in Roxanne's old eyes.

"Somehow, I feel my son's fiancee is disturbed because at that time my appearance was very simple? He even asked Alex while laughing cynically where I got the dress I was wearing at the time" Roxanne continued.

Next to Ambrosia's eyebrows raised high. What the fuck is that woman, Ambrosia thought annoyed.

"One look I can tell that she's a glamorous woman, Ana. From head to toe filled with expensive items from famous designers. I really don't care if it's his taste, I can appreciate that. It's just that the way he looked at me was just using a simple, comfortable dress— that I bought impulsively in the Mall, making me shudder." Roxanne. Trying to hide the vibrations on his body as a result of remembering the cynical and insulting look of his future daughter-in-law.

"Did he insult you, Roxy?" Ambrosia's empathy towards her Director instantly turned to anger.

NAY! pekik Ambrosia in the heart. Not this woman! Not this precious woman! her door. Ambrosia really didn't want Roxanne Levine to feel the slightest pain. To him, she was like a substitute for her late mother. The kindness that Roxanne had given her during these two years meant so much to Ambrosia.

The desire to protect the middle-aged woman he respected so much strengthened so quickly. Ambrosia meets with the crown prince's fiance and uncovers the truth of who Roxanne Levine really is.

"Somehow my heart feels sure, Ana. That woman, it's gonna hurt my Alex. Deep down in my heart said the woman did not love my son sincerely" Roxanne added. "I'm scared, Ana. I'm so afraid Alex's been stuck with the wrong woman his whole life."

The trembling in Roxanne's voice made Ambrosia unable to. He could not hear or see the silence of Roxanne Levine. So when she saw Roxanne looking down to hide her emotions, Ambrosia took a deep breath and returned to her professional secretary mode.

"Are you sure to allow me this outsider to interfere in the personal affairs of your son, Mrs Roxanne?" ask Ambrosia firmly.

He deliberately emphasized the official call to Roxanne for the formality she needed. Formality of a superior who commands his subordinates.

Roxanne looked up quickly. His old eyes immediately sparkled in astonishment at Ambrosia's posture which seemed to state 'You can count on me!' that's.

"Yes! I'm counting on you, Ambrosia Heart," Roxanne exclaimed with firmness. "And thank you for accepting this task."

Roxanne was finally unable to cover up her novelty, the old woman then lowered her face again, facing her desk, with her shoulders shaking slowly.

For the first time in her two-year tenure at Levine Enterprises, Ambrosia interfered in the private affairs of Alex Levine, the crown prince, a man she had never even met. And for the first time ever, Ambrosia saw the number one woman at work crying.

Ambrosia walked out of the President Director's room with trembling legs and was barely slipping. He leaned against the door that he had closed for a while doing the exhale-inhale several times.

Roxanne Levine's sudden and very unexpected outpouring of heart made her feel crumpled. Although his emotions were chaotic, fortunately he still remembered to submit the map containing the report of his meeting today before leaving the room.

After feeling normal enough to go back to work and confront her co-workers, Ambrosia climbed down the stairs confidently to the secretarial floor. Heading to his desk is right under the office of the woman who just told him to look for a secret weapon to destroy the engagement of his only son.

Belle returned from the pantry with two cups of hot coffee as Ambrosia sat in her chair. The special secretariat desk for the President Director at Levine Enterprise is very long and curved.

The shape is almost semicircular with a bulkhead that divides into three parts. One part for Ambrosia, and the other two parts for Belle and Elsa who are junior secretaries who help ease Ambrosia's duties as the main secretary of Roxanne Levine.

"I got a message from Elsa that she's coming around ten. He had to wait in line at the expedition company to complete a routine parcel-parcel delivery for the orphanage we sponsor" Belle told the senior.

Ambrosia agreed with her thumbs-up as she grimaced, "Then what about your quarterly report?" ask Ambrosia.

"I sent it to your email before I went to the pantry to make coffee" Belle replied firmly.

Ambrosia immediately opened the email via her computer which was already on and grinned. "Good job!" fun satisfied.

"Then? Is there any extra work for me today, Ana?" belle asked as she offered one of the cups to her senior.

Ambrosia received the coffee from Belle's hand and then handed over the notepad to the girl who had been his assistant for almost a year.

"Choose one of those two points! Choose what you think you can do best" Ambrosia said before taking a deep sip of coffee.

Belle received her senior notepad after her hand removed the Ambrosia ration coffee cup she had made earlier. Belle seemed to consider first the command written on the sophisticated gadget and ended up choosing the second point.

"I could never get our representatives in New York to listen to my advice, so let me take care of that emerald necklace," Belle re-stressed Ambrosia's notepad.

"And I guess if you go to Pawn Stone right now, you can take Handsome Luke from IT, too, because he's supposed to be going to The Logins— right next to Pawn Stone— to get his laptop serviced there."

Ambrosia suggests Belle with a coffee cup still in her right hand.

Belle squinted her eyes suspiciously, "How do you know Luke Anderson's schedule the handsome IT? Don't tell me you met after work?" accuse Belle.

Ambrosia again sipped her coffee while shaking her head, "She told me when we happened to be in the same elevator three days ago" Ambrosia replied casually.

"Oh, Ana. If you look as amazing as you remember, you will definitely be the most charming woman in Levine Enterprises" said Belle as she looked at Ambrosia with sparkling eyes.

The girl then put her leather-bound cell phone and notebook into her handbag and rushed to the elevator which happened to be empty.

"I take your words as a compliment, so thank you, Belle. Be careful on the road!" Ambrosia replied to Belle's words with a slight shout while waving her hand with her mouth still attached to the lip of the cup.

Ambrosia was able to see Belle's hand before disappearing behind the closed elevator doors.

He sipped his coffee a few more times, then placed the white ceramic cup on an empty table a little out of his reach. Just in case he forgets the cup and accidentally nudges it while being seriously at work.

"OK, Ana. It's time to finish a little PR before you do the real big job" Ambrosia muttered to herself before grabbing the phone and starting calling Levine Enterprises' New York representative manager.
