Poorly Forgotten Secretary

Poorly Forgotten Secretary
Alex's Bad Hunch

California, United States.

"Should we attend this event?" ask Alex to friends since his college days—Jake Cipher.

The handsome crown prince of Levine Enterprises buttoned his shirt sleeves lazily. Alex's voice sounded a little tense—like nervous about something invisible.

Though he has never refused a party since the last year this—at least since he was engaged to Luna Gross, an up-and-coming producer in a Hollywood crazed party in search of connections that benefit his job.

Luna Gross loves to party. Such festive events are usually filled with sponsors, famous people, or other important people that he can collaborate with, or he offered the latest project proposal from his entertainment company, he said, of course, all his efforts were to skyrocket his career as a producer.

And Alex— as his fiancee, inevitably ended up following Luna's lifestyle like that. Although Alex's career in the showbiz world sometimes also requires him to attend such lavish parties, but Alex himself actually prefers to enjoy his me time by staying in his comfortable apartment, and get immersed in her favorite movies or do her hobby of cleaning.

"Yes, it has to be." replied Jake Cipher firmly while choosing the suit he will wear tonight. "It's one of the biggest charity events in California, and we're both part of the party that sponsored the event. You remember?" ask Jake then.

"Well, I think you're right," Alex responded lethargic. The man appeared to throw himself on a single sofa inside Jake's dressing room, then let out a long sigh while looking down.

"Ooh, come on.. What's wrong with you, Dude?" ask Jake for a surprise.

The handsome man with bright blond hair and wavy hair, with light gray eyes, felt very strange with the attitude of his best friend tonight.

Alex changed his seat. Now he leaned back lazily with his head staring at the ceiling of the room and the two hands he stretched over the back of the sofa.

"Come, Jake! I just feel. I don't know, I have a bad feeling about tonight" she replied ambiguously.

Honestly, Alex himself did not understand what he felt. He just really doesn't want to go. Alex set his breath for the umpteenth time. However, the strange feeling that was in his mind still did not want to disappear.

Jake throws a bow tie at Alex with a murmur, "So soon finish your performance or we'll be late, Lex!"

"Aarr!!!" Alex groaning. He really doesn't like what he's feeling right now. It's just that he had absolutely no choice but to refuse to leave because what Jake said was true.

They are the ambassadors, they are part of the sponsors and that is why they have to be present at the event. Alex and Jake are the top models in the United States. Especially in California and Hollywood.

They are both very famous and very popular there. Jake Cipher and Alex Levine are often paired to model on certain events like this one. They are a combination of male models that are unparalleled in the modeling world.

"I thought we were late" Jake said when they arrived at the party. The man who this time chose to wash his blonde hair immediately spread his gaze around.

The place had been full of rich people and other important people who used to gather in such a place. Sounds that sound very loud in the ears.

"Listen, Lex! I really don't want to leave you alone when you're screwed up..."

Jake hung up his sentence when grabbing two glasses of drinks—which looked like a light champagnethe description being carried around by a waiter. And the man immediately thrust one of the glasses in front of his best friend.

Alex grabbed the champagne glass without any weight, and sipped it slowly. Hope the grains of low-grade alcoholic beverages can eliminate the strange feeling in him.

Alex shrugged both shoulders of his field resignedly then nodded.

"We're gathered at this point in about thirty minutes, Okay! Then I'll tell our brand director that you're not feeling well so we can go home early, what was my idea?"

Jake throws his ideas around the party room, scanning which group he will go to first to greet them.

Alex again just nodded slowly and then took a sip of the remaining champagne in his glass. Just put it on an empty tray that the waiter carried around to collect used glasses.

Both of Alex's eyes looked bright as he looked at Jake who had started swinging his legs towards the crowd in front of them.

Shit man!!! Maki Alex in heart. What exactly happened to him? What kind of hunch is this? Alex nagged at himself.

With a heavy step Alex towards a crowd in one corner of the room, but just a few steps he walked, he then saw the figure of Luna Gross— engaged, he was engaged, standing in the middle of the perlente men who seemed to admire the woman greatly.

The luna? Inner Alex. Isn't he at work in San Francisco until Sunday? Why is he in California now? Alex wondered.

But somehow tonight Alex did not seem enthusiastic about meeting the woman he proposed. Though they have not met for almost a week, and usually Alex will not feel at home for long parting with Luna to sacrifice her time to follow wherever the woman is.

But now, Alex's feelings are mortal. Could this bad feeling have something to do with her fiance? Without a second thought, he immediately approached the crowd where his fiancee was.

While walking closer to Luna, Alex's gaze can not be separated from the figure of a beautiful woman he plans to marry later this year.

"Luna," called Alex in a heavy voice.

Not only did Luna Gross turn her head towards him but also almost all the men who swarmed the woman.

"Alex!" screeched Luna with a shocked expression. "I didn't expect to see you here" he added, blinking his eyes in astonishment.

"How could you not meet her here, Miss Gross, Mr. Levine is one of the model ambassadors on the show? Don't you know that?" ask a gentleman Alex knows as Mr. Malcolm— is a portrait photographer who has just held his solo exhibition in California.

Luna laughed gracefully while covering her mouth with a palm, "Oh, forgive me gentlements! I didn't know that at all because I was just fulfilling someone's invitation to attend this party?" answer with his special smile.

"Who's invitation?" alex asked with a frown.

"Someone, ah, I don't think you know her, Lex," Luna replied with a contrived grin.

Alex felt increasingly unsettled, and impatient. He did not like the sudden appearance of Luna at this party, where previously the woman was just saying goodbye to her to get out of town in a few days.

"Why did he lie to me?" inner Alex is upset.
