Stepmom Cold Bed

Stepmom Cold Bed
Funeral

Rows of neatly lined bouquets surround a luxurious mansion the residence of a wealthy businessman, Anggoro.

Associates are still in droves to express their sympathies and offer condolences for the businessman's death.

Fragrant frangipani flowers smell filled the living room along with drizzle as if to be a perfect sense of loss from the Anggoro extended family. There is no laughter from the owner of the house that was heard a few days ago in this house. There was only the sound of a sobbing of grief from colleagues when they met Maureen, his wife.

A while ago, Anggoro was just finished being buried. He died after suffering a heart attack earlier today. Though only two days ago this house held a lavish festive wedding party for Anggoro and Maureen. Marriage is a conversation of many people because of the very long age range between the bride and the bridegroom.

Maureen was twenty-four years old while Anggoro was fifty-eight. That is why the marriage of two people is a marriage that attracts attention among entrepreneurs.

At the Anggoro family residence, currently still receive many guests who convey directly his condolences to Ruwina mother of Anggoro, Edwin younger brother of Anggoro and of course, Maureen second wife Anggoro.

Each sat apart, far apart as the three had an uncomfortable feeling of being close together and a bad impression of each other.

As Ruwina comments below, “No shame, use pretend to be all sad. Though he must have been very happy to see my son die.” Said Ruwina with a cynical look at the black-glassed woman standing in one corner of the room.

The beautiful woman in black still received condolences from colleagues who knew her as Madam Anggoro.

“After us, the woman must have smiled widely.”

Ruwina's hands clenched, recalling the woman's position which seemed to be in the wind after the departure of her son.

“Mamah is still very sure that the woman caused Anggoro's death. Mamah will not be willing if Anggoro's treasure falls completely into the hands of the devious woman. Won't!”

Ruwina's red and watery eyes were now glaring sharply at the figure of the beautiful woman. She could have stood tall when her husband had just been buried.

“Mah, mamah should be quiet. I also could not let all the treasures of the Anggoro mas fall into the hands of the woman.” Edwin tried to calm the mother who was sitting in a wheelchair. His body until trembling held back the anger.

Not only did Ruwina not accept that her family property fell into Maureen's hands, but she did too.

Yeah, that's the way things are in this rich family of businessmen. Though the burial ground has not dried up but they have tried to secure their respective heritage positions.

“When will Byan go home? How can he insist on staying abroad when his papa dies?!”

This time Ruwina looked at Edwin in annoyance. Upset because her only grandchild did not show her nose on this day of mourning.

“He still attends important conference. But I'll try to contact him again. I'll make sure Byan gets home. Because he's the only one who can solve this problem.” Edwin said with great confidence.

“Iya. Do not let because of his frustration with Anggoro, Byan does not want to go home. Can be ruined our family.”

“Iya mah, I will make sure it will never happen.” Determined Edwin.

In his place, Maureen is receiving an autopsy report submitted by the Anggoro family doctor. He stared at the brown envelope in his hand. This will be proof to the Anggoro family that Maureen has no intention to harm let alone kill her husband.

“Forensic Team states, that the death of the great lord due to the heart attack of the mistress. They found a very high alcohol content in the body of the great master. Looks like it happened after he drank alcoholic beverages with his golfing partner.” The man gave a conclusion.

Maureen nodded in understanding. Yesterday, Anggoro did attend an event with his close friends. He celebrated Anggoro's marriage after eight years of graduation and changing partners.

They celebrate at a fancy restaurant with whisky that becomes their celebration's opening drink.

“Did his attorney have received a copy of this letter?” asked Maureen in a low voice. She still lamented that she failed to ban Anggoro from drinking alcohol while her late husband had heart disease.

“I will deliver. As the madam requested, the reason for the death of the great lord should be known also by the great mistress and lord Edwin.” Doctor Faisal's.

“Thank you.” That's Maureen's only word. She no longer wants to be accused of being the one who caused the death of her late husband.

“Then, I excuse you madam.” Pamit doctor Faisal.

Maureen replied to him with a polite nod. He sat back in his place and waited for the other guests to come over.

The day that became the planned honeymoon departure between him and Anggoro, unexpectedly turned into the day of Anggoro's funeral.

Maureen sat in front of her dresser. Remove the glasses that had previously covered his eyes.

Although he never expected this marriage with Anggoro, but in fact, he also felt the loss of the great master who for two years he served as his boss.

Anggoro is a good man, yes in treating Maureen he is very good. Even behind that, he has bad habits. Drinking and partying with the girls who surround him.

Anggoro's habit has stalled since the man decided to marry Maureen. There is no romantic love story between Maureen and Anggoro. Just a simple love story between the big boss and his personal assistant. Anggoro married Maureen to complete his status as a great lord while Maureen was willing to marry for reasons of Anggoro's property.

No doubt, the reason Maureen accepted the marriage was for reasons of mere possessions.

In his mind, marrying Anggoro, would certainly make his life assured. In his will even Anggoro called Maureen the largest beneficiary of all his wealth.

No one ever rejoiced over death, nor did Maureen. He did not expect that Anggoro would leave so soon even though the man looked very healthy.

Maureen opened the brown envelope in front of her and reread the autopsy report.

He wanted to convince himself that Anggoro's death was not because of him.

After looking at the letter, Maureen put the white paper back in a brown envelope. He also removed the Anggoro diamond ring and replaced it with a simple regular ring.

A diamond necklace coiled around her neck and hidden behind her black, covered shirt, she was taken off and put together into an envelope with her earrings. All the gifts Anggoro attached to his body, he kept with the autopsy results.

“You're not Maureen's killer. Never been a murderer to your own husband, even if your heart never wanted this marriage.” Maureen spoke to herself.

He saw her face that was haggard and pale without makeup polish. Glamorous makeup that Anggoro likes is no longer adorned his beautiful face.

He looked at his wedding bed covered in mosquito nets with red rose petals that began to wither on it.

It was only today that Maureen had just entered her bridal room after two days yesterday she was staying in a hotel with her late husband. The atmosphere was calm but very foreign. Inside this vast room, Maureen truly felt alone.

“The bride's bed is no longer mine.” Said Maureen who stared at the nanar super king-sized mattress that was deliberately prepared Anggoro.

His status as a bride and a wife, is completed today.
