Stepmom Cold Bed

Stepmom Cold Bed
Unexpected

The sound of an electric generator rang out loud and filled Maureen's entire ear cavity. Today, is Maureen's last day at the site of the resort project. He should have packed up this morning and returned to Jakarta on a flight this afternoon. But due to electrical problems, Maureen was forced to stay longer on the island.

Eleven o'clock in the afternoon, the new power is on. This was after getting a fairly difficult and long repair from the technician. Electrical problems seem to be the next problem in addition to development problems that feel slow. When the power is off, the mobile phone network and the internet are not there so this will reduce the selling value of this tourist spot.

Luckily Maureen saw this problem firsthand so that she could find a solution to the problem.

“What every day happens like this? Genetaror off and lights out until noon?” The curious Maureen, asked the head of the project.

“No miss. Only occasionally like this, usually after there is a strong wind like last night or when there is a rainstorm. Maybe because the generator is too small so when there is such a natural attack, easy to damage,” bright project head.

“In one month, how many times has something like this happened?”

“Depends on season miss. During high wind or rainy season, generators break down quickly. We have filed a change with the authorities but it does not seem to have been realized.”

Maureen noted all the findings and explanations of the project head. He was determined, when in Jakarta later, he would directly talk to the authorities.

“Doesn't that also affect the daily activities of the residents here?”

“Betul miss. This is the obstacle and delivery of goods to this island. Because supplyers often cannot contact representatives of citizens here.”

Maureen nodded in understanding. He felt that this problem should be solved immediately.

After seeing the condition of the genetaror, Maureen traveled briefly to the location of the residential residents. They look friendly welcoming the beautiful woman who greets them. Some people offer Maureen to stop by especially when they know that Maureen is not just a tourist in this place but a person who has built a decent place to live for them.

They thanked Maureen very much.

“What miss will return to Jakarta today?” ask the head of the project, on the way to Maureen's halfway house.

“Tomorrow we will return to Jakarta, because there is definitely no plane that can take us home today. Anyway, I want to finish first all the work here,” Maureen replied soberly.

“Nona is very totality and your desire is very high to solve every problem. Your company is very lucky to have employees like you.” The head of the project praised Maureen's expertise in her work. He saw this woman so special with her extraordinary abilities.

“Thank you.”

Maureen smiled slightly. Again, his efforts to survive in this company even make him look too eager to solve all problems. Though at the beginning of his arrival to the Anggoro corp, it is not something like this that he should do.

“I'm not wrong see, right?” asked Dita who suddenly stopped her steps?

“What intention?” Maureen was curious.

Dita did not answer but just looked towards the beach. To three people who were walking towards them. One of the men limped with crutches in his hand.

“Byan?!” maureen's eyes were almost dislodged by the arrival of Byan and Riswan with a male staff.

He stood for a while as did Byan who looked at him full of haru from a distance there.

But Maureen did not reply, nor did she know the reason for Byan coming to this place when his condition had not improved completely. Maureen hurriedly approached the man.

“Why did you come here?” asked Maureen when she was in front of Byan with a distance of one meter.

Not the answer that Byan gave. But the man walked limping to approach Maureen and hugged Maureen tightly. In front of everyone, of course.

Maureen was shocked to see Byan's sudden and unexpected actions.

“Are you all right?” Byan asked with great anxiety. It seemed like this man was so worried and missed Maureen.

“Of course I'm fine. Why did you come here? You're sick again.” Maureen with a simple question in her head. I don't know what kind of trip Byan took this morning so he could get to a place he shouldn't be.

“You disappeared when we made a video call, until this morning I couldn't call you. How could I sit still?” urai Byan with a slightly trembling voice. Like he kept a lot of anxiety in his heart and mind for Maureen.

“You're serious?” Maureen still did not expect that Byan would be this determined to meet him and make sure he was okay.

“Do I look stupid?” Byan asked back, he was still reluctant to let go of his embrace.

Maureen is still thinking realistically. He realized, in this world there are not only the two of them. Look at the three people who were forced to turn their faces while holding a smile and the head of the project who pretended to be busy with his cellphone because he just got a mobile phone network. So, he broke his embrace from Byan.

“Crazy! You look more like a madman!” cynical Maureen. He looked at Byan inexhaustibly. What exactly was on this man's mind until he decided to come to this place?

Maureen took the crutches that Byan had just released and gave them to the owner. He saw, Byan's feet had not even stood perfectly.

He no longer spoke but left immediately after the crutches had passed into Byan's hands.

“Maureen!” call Byan.

But Maureen did not turn her head, preferring to go first to the halfway house. Byan's behavior makes her feel not okay. His chest cavity shook violently, seeing what Byan was doing for him.

Her anxiety, longing embrace and determined actions make Maureen realize it is not the right thing for a stepchild to do to her stepmother. How close are they really? What did Byan see from their relationship?

“Let me help, Sir." Riswan immediately helps Byan to stand up with ajeg. He accompanied Byan to walk after Maureen who had already entered the house.

“Why did he ignore me? Though I have come all the way from Jakarta while enduring the pain in my legs. Can't he show me his care, just a little?” Byan muttered and could still be heard by Riswan.

The middle-aged man just smiled. It seemed that Byan had yet to understand what Maureen was feeling at the moment.
